DILG and the environmental group urged the candidates to take down their campaign materials.

These tarpaulins and flyers will add up to the country’s garbage problems. Rainy days are coming and we don’t want clogged drainages to cause floods. Whether they won or lost, candidates should show their love for the country by cleaning up their communities.

DILG Secretary Eduardo Año said “What you should immediately do is to encourage your supporters to remove your campaign materials from your community. Whether you won or lost, show your sense of sportsmanship and your pure intentions for your community by participating in the clean up”.
