The ALDUB Last Chance episode opens with YayaDUB alone by the sidewalk set. The Kalye’s Angels were not around. So YayaDUB cut to the chase and started calling Alden. Alden immediately showed up upon hearing YayaDUB. “Ba’t ikaw lang? Wala pa sina Lola dyan?” (How come it’s just you? The grannies haven’t arrived?) YayaDUB found it easy to explain the situation. “Pinauna na ko ni Lola Tidora kasi may inutos din siya sa ‘kin para sa birthday party sa Sabado. Saka gusto niya magkausap tayong dalawa.” (Granny Tidora let me go ahead of her since she sent me to an errand for Saturday’s birthday party. And she wanted us to talk.)
Alden made sure the coast is clear. “So tayong dalawa lang?” (So it’s just the two of us?) YayaDUB confirmed it. “Mmm mmm.” Alden immediately grabbed his clipboard. Alden and YayaDUB can freely talk now. But old habits die hard at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. A DUBsmash exchange ensued alongside messages on a clipboard. They were already having some fun with the DUBsmash exchange when a car horn honked off. Both Alden and YayaDUB tried to look for hiding places.
Donya Tidora immediately ran to check the vicinity. “Wala pa. Wala pa.” (None has arrived. None has arrived.) Donya Tidora was sprinting around the area. Scanning the area further. YayaDUB was shown later at the ALDUB Last Chance episode hiding under the coffee table. She then confirmed that the coast is clear. “Napadaan lang pala yung sasakyan.” (It was just a passing vehicle.) KalyeSerye commentators Bossing Vic Sotto and Allan K egged ALDUB to continue with their DUBsmash exchange.
Alden wrote on the clipboard. “Sana lagi tayong ganito.” (I hope we’d always be like this.) Stolen moments don’t often come like moments shown at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. YayaDUB wrote while DUBsmashing Toni Gonzaga’s cover of “Kapag Tumibok Ang Puso”. “Tayong dalawa lang.” (Just the two of us.) Alden DUBsmashed Brownman Revival’s cover of “Binibini” while writing on his clipboard. “Always.” With none of the grannies around. Alden and YayaDUB kissed.
Alden took advantage of the grannies’ absence to admit his feelings to YayaDUB. “Bumili na lang kaya ako ng ibang singsing?” (What if I buy another ring instead?) YayaDUB disagreed. Instead of writing her reply, she spoke at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Alden, hindi puede. Malalaman din ni Lola ang totoo. Mas lalo pang magagalit sa ‘tin yun. Saka alam mo naman, masama nanloloko.” (Alden, it can’t be. Granny will eventually learn of the truth. She’d get angrier at us. And you know that deception is bad.)
Alden came clean with the stressed out feeling. “Nasi-stress lang ako eh. Alam mo namang kaya kong patunayan ang pag-ibig ko kahit wala yung singsing.” (I’m just stressed. You know that I can prove my love for you even without the ring.) YayaDUB insisted on not buying a substitute ring. “Pero sa ngayon, tanggapin mo na lang yung galit ni Lola. Tanggapin na lang natin kasi may katwiran naman siya eh.” (For now, just accept granny’s anger. Let’s just accept it since she has a point. Alden asked for YayaDUB’s support at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Matutulungan mo ba ako?” (Can you help me?) They DUBsmashed to pacify their nerves.
Another car horn honked at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. Donya Tidora was running around the set again. It scared YayaDUB. “Lola, nakakatakot ka naman. Tinatakot mo ko eh.” (Granny, you’re scary. You’re scaring me.) Donya Tidora told her to leave first. “Kunwari nasa ibang lugar ka kasi magtataka yun bakit nandito ka.” (Pretend that you’re somewhere else or she will wonder why are you here.) YayaDUB said goodbye to Alden first before going away.
Lola Nidora arrived at the ALDUB Last Chance episode to the tune of Dawin’s “Dessert”. She dished out a few dance moves before going with her instructions to the Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio. “Rogelio, kinakausap ko kayo. Magbantay kayo ng maayos. Yung telepono ko.” (I am talking to you. Guard carefully. Hand me my phone.) She looked around searching for Donya Tidora and YayaDUB.
It took awhile for Lola Nidora to see Donya Tidora standing by the cofee table. “Bakit naman kasi, Tidora, kakulay mo yung mantel? Nasan si Yaya?” (Why is your dress’ color the same as the coffee table cloth? Where is nanny?) Lola Nidora’s memory is starting to fail her at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Kanina pa nagpaalam sa akin si Yaya. Hindi ko matandaan kung saan pumunta. Nakalimutan ko yung paalam sa akin kaya tinatanong ko ito.” (Nanny told me she’d leave. I don’t remember where she went. I forgot her permission to me so I am asking them.)
Whether it’s the early onset of dementia or Alzheimer’s is too early to tell at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. But Lola Nidora’s memory gap affected her. “Parang may kailangan akong gawin kaso nakalimutan ko. Nagiging ulyanin na ko.” (It is as if I need to do something but I forgot. I’m becoming senile.) Then she realized what she just said. “Ay hindi! Di pa ko ulyanin!” (Oh no! I’m not going senile!)
At the ALDUB Last Chance episode. Lola Nidora remembered the cash advance one of the Rogelios asked of her. “Anong gagawin mo sa pera? Pambili mo na naman ng shades? Di pa ko ulyanin! Di ka puedeng bumale! Nasan si Yaya?” (What are you going to do with the money? I’m not senile! You can’t have your cash advance! Where is nanny?) Donya Tidora replied since it’s hopeless to get an answer from the Rogelios. “Parating na yun. May pinabili lang ako.” (She’s coming. I just asked her to buy something.)
Lola Nidora is worried about her failing memory. Donya Tidora appeased her though since they are of the same age. Well, almost. In other words, it would be a triplets’ birthday on Saturday. Then again, Donya Tidora’s account of their birth was clarified in the ALDUB Love on Top episode. Donya Tidora’s age gap from Lola Nidora did not exempt her from memory issues as demonstrated in the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Ganyan talaga pag nagkakaedad na. Nakalimutan ko ngang mag-noseline eh.” (It really happens when you’re getting old. I’m starting to forget the noseline makeup.)
YayaDUB ran back to the set. Donya Tidora immediately asked her if she already bought her requested item. YayaDUB showed it to her. “Eto na po yung pulbo.” (Here’s the powder.) It was in a little brown paper bag. Donya Tidora showed it to Lola Nidora. YayaDUB told Lola Nidora that it was Donya Tidora’s loose powder.
It immediately got Lola Nidora suspicious of her sister at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Andami-dami mo pang pulbos sa mansion. Nagpabili ka na naman ng bago?” (There are lots of powder in the mansion. You bought a new pack?) Donya Tidora justified her purchase. “Ate, iba ‘to.” (Elder sister, this is something else.) Lola Nidora then asked Bossing Vic Sotto. “Marvic, nasan si Vicente?” (Marvic, where is Vicente?) Senator Tito’s full name is Vicente Sotto III. Bossing Vic’s full name is Marvic Sotto.
Bossing Vic knew where his brother is. “Nasa session.” (He’s at the session.) Lola Nidora wanted her sister Donya Tidora to be subjected to a hearing. “Si Tidora, nagpabili na naman ng pulbos. Nalululong na yata.” (Tidora purchased some powder. I think she’s getting addicted.) Donya Tidora defended herself by claiming the powder as foundation. “Foundation ‘to. Pinapahid ito sa mukha.” (This is foundation. It is rubbed on the face.) Lola Nidora is unconvinced of her sister’s alibi at the ALDUB Last Chance episode.
Since her memory is failing her. Lola Nidora checked her mobile phone for any saved tasks. “Hindi ko pa nakakalimutan ang sinabi ko kahapon. Alden?” (I haven’t forgotten about what I said yesterday. Alden?) Alden was shown on the next monitor still searching backstage. If he said that it was lost in the studio, how come he spent more time searching backstage? The main stage is not always occupied within the 24-hour time frame. And Alden only had a few minutes left at the ALDUB Last Chance episode.
Alden stopped in the middle of looking for the ring to talk to Lola Nidora at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Pagawa nyo na po lahat ng gusto nyong gawin sa kin. Pakiramdam ko po, me sumalbahe. Me nagnakaw po yata.” (Make me do anything that you wanted me to do. I think there was some sabotage. Someone may have taken it away.) Lola Nidora would accept no excuses. But she is not in her screaming self anymore. “Ang sabi ko nga, may kasaysayan yun. At dapat masunod ang nasa alahasan.” (Like what I’ve said, it has history. And what’s in the jewelry box should be followed.)
Lola Nidora is annoyed with the excuses. She hears more excuses and apologies from Alden than actual work. “Simple lang yan. Hindi mo pa magawa? Nauubos na ang pasensya ko.” (It’s just a simple task. And you can’t do it? I’m running out of patience.) YayaDUB tried to intervene for Alden at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Lola, patawarin nyo na po si Alden. Gagawin ko po ang lahat.” (Granny, please forgive Alden. I would do anything.) She’s willing to subject herself to further servitude. Lola Nidora just told the couple to shut up. Another car horn was heard in the background.
It wasn’t Donya Tinidora. She’s still missing in action. And neither Lola Nidora nor Donya Tidora provided any info as to her whereabouts. As for the unexpected guest, the vehicle unloaded some bodyguards who looked like YayaDUB’s ex-fiance, Frankie Arenolli. But it wasn’t Frankie. Out came a matron wearing a bright fuchsia gown complete with feathers. It’s the kind of outfit that would enrage animal rights’ activists.
Whether she’s a lost character from La Cage Aux Folles or The Adventures of Priscilla is anybody’s guess. Lola Nidora’s entourage is clueless as well. Also, she arrived at the Broadway Centrum. Not where Lola Nidora was located. She almost tripped herself on her way to Eat Bulaga’s backstage quarters at the ALDUB Last Chance episode.
Alden immediately welcomed their guest. “Lola Baba, welcome home!” He hugged the matron. He seemed very happy at the ALDUB Last Chance. Finally. A relative from his part of the phenomenal KalyeSerye. [Even just a fictional one.] He called her “Lola” (Granny). His granny didn’t reply his greeting. She walked forward. YayaDUB, Lola Nidora and Donya Tidora don’t know her. Donya Tidora doesn’t remember seeing her at all. Alden stayed behind his granny to guide her.
A few steps later. Lola Baba spoke. “I’m so so so so … Napagod ako, Alden.” (I got exhausted, Alden.) Blond hair. A crystal-studded crown. A caked up face that would put geisha-esque BB cream to shame. And a mole to highlight her corpse-white skin. Maybe botox affected her ability to smile. Alden was perplexed at Lola Baba’s arrival. “Napauwi po kayo.” (You’re suddenly home.)
Lola Baba explained herself. Lola Nidora looked on as she spoke at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Napauwi ako because I don’t want anybody who can mess up with you. I am the lola of Aldren. We are very very very angry if somebody will fight with my grandson.” She spoke with an accent. And her grammar is somewhat similar to that of Borat.
Alden asked Lola Baba why the sudden homecoming. “Gusto kong isorpresa ka, Aldren.” (I want to surprise you, Aldren.) Her accent made her call Alden as “Aldren”. Then she started spraying Alden’s surroundings with the can of spray she brought with her. “Ayokong nadadapuan ka ng mga lamok! All because my Sigue Sigue Sprutnik Gang will be afraid.” (I don’t want mosquitoes hovering on you!) She called her bodyguards as the Sigue Sigue Sprutnik. Her accent really caused her extra consonant “r” sounds in her speech at the ALDUB Last Chance episode.
Alden’s eyes get hit with the sprayed particles. He looked pained. But he can’t stop her granny. Bossing Vic can’t tell from what part of the universe did Lola Baba come from. “Alden, san galing yang lola mo?” (Alden, where did your granny come from?) Alden replied. “Russia po.” (She’s from Russia.) That explains the accent. Lola Baba clarified her mixed appearance. “We’re half-Russian, half-Serbian, half-human, half-Waray.” [Disclaimer: Lola Baba is just a fictional version of Alden’s grandmother.]
Alden formally introduced her to the KalyeSerye commentators. “Ang lola ko po. Si Lola Baba po.” (My grandmother. Granny Baba.) Allan K claimed that it was spelled as “BAHBAH” since Lola Bahbah looked insulted at the mention of “baba” (chin). Bossing Vic played it safe in his greeting at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Kinagagalak po namin kayong makilala, Lola B.” (Nice to meet you, Granny B.)
Alden then introduced his grandmother to Lola Nidora and her entourage. “Lola Nidora, gusto ko pong meet nyo si Lola Bahbah.” (Granny Nidora, I’d like you to meet Granny Bahbah.) Lola Bahbah does not like her name being mispronounced. So Donya Tidora tried to correct herself at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. Lola Bahbah then commented on her appearance. “Maganda ha? Pero puro makeup lang.” (She’s beautiful. But she’s all makeup.) Donya Tidora does not appreciate the feedback.
Alden then introduced Lola Nidora. “Hello, Lola Nidora. I’m Donya Barbara Latisha Rockefeller viuda de Faulkerson. The Daddy of Alden is my son.” It’s official. She’s the fictional grandmother. She made “Faulkerson” sound like “Falcazone” with her thick and somewhat confused accent at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. She also mentioned her spouse’s name. “Asawa ko si Don Babancio Lucas de Faulkerson. Si Babalu! Don’t mess up with Babala!”
Of course, Alden tried introducing his lady love to his grandmother too. “Lola, may ipapakilala rin po pala ako sa inyo. Yung babaeng nagpapasaya po sa akin. Si YayaDUB po.” (Granny, I have another person to introduce to you. The woman who makes me happy. It’s YayaDUB.) YayaDUB greeted Lola Bahbah. Alden introduced her as YayaDUB. So she had to ask again her name. Her actual name. She paid her respects to Lola Bahbah too at the ALDUB Last Chance episode.
YayaDUB then introduced herself as Divina Ursula. Lola Bahbah also asked for her age. Divina said that she is 20 years old. She also asked if she finished college. Divina said she earned a degree in Culinary Arts. Maine Mendoza earned a degree in Culinary Arts. So Allan K thought that there’s a hint of reality in her answer. The KalyeSerye is dependent on improv after all. When asked to repeat her degree earned. Lola Bahbah sounded shocked at the ALDUB Last Chance episode.
Lola Bahbah started talking to Alden in Russian. She could not hide her disappointment. Alden did not translate what she said. But he replied. “Hindi ko po gusto yung sinasabi ninyong nakilala kong model na nag-aaral na sa Harvard ngayon. Di ko po type yun. Ayoko.” (I don’t like the model that I met before who now studies in Harvard. She’s not my type. No.) Divina a.k.a. YayaDUB raised her eyebrows at this discovery at the ALDUB Last Chance episode.
Lola Bahbah scolden Alden again at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. Alden still said no. Lola Nidora’s mother hen instincts kicked in. She called Donya Tidora for the Kalye’s Angels’ fighting pose. She did not mince her words. “Wag mong inaapi ang apo namin.” (Don’t you berate our grand-child.) Donya Tidora seconded the motion.
Refusing to be robbed of her spotlight and refusing to see YayaDUB getting the stink eye from Lola Bahbah. Lola Nidora then introduced herself. “Before I continue I would also like to introduce myself. Donya Nidora Esperanza y Zobeyala viuda de Explorer. Ako ang Lola Nidora. Kung ayaw mo kay Yaya, ayaw din namin kay Alden.” (I am Granny Nidora. If you don’t like nanny, we don’t like Alden either.) Donya Tidora did not support this statement knowing she and Donya Tinidora were in favor of Alden too.
Alden begged Lola Bahbah to be nice. Lola Bahbah refused to budge. Lola Nidora then asked Donya Tidora to analyze Lola Bahbah if she’s for real. Must have been the nouveau riche accent that ticked her off. It looked like a case of old money vs. new money at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. Besides, she berated Donya Tidora’s makeup. Lola Bahbah’s way more caked up than Donya Tidora ever was. And so she took a look.
There is an obvious effort for Lola Bahbah to attain that Russian empress look. She must have seen Marlene Dietrich in “The Scarlet Empress”. She chose to share her insights to Lola Nidora instead of letting Lola Bahbah hear it. “Parang galing sagala.” (She looked like she’s from the parade.) Lola Bahbah does not appreciate whispers uttered in front of her. “I cannot hear you!”
Lola Nidora took it from there to defend Divina again. “Hoy! Wag mong iniinsulto ang apo ko! Maganda si Maine. Nag-aral. Matalino.” (Don’t insult my grand-child! Maine is beautiful. Educated. Intelligent.) Lola Nidora turned her attention to Alden. “Ikaw, Alden, ibalik mo na lang ang singsing.” (Just return the ring.) Lola Bahbah only learned of the lost ring upon arrival at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Anong singsing ito?” (What ring is this?)
Alden had to summarize the situation in a way that Lola Bahbah can understand best. Lola Bahbah downplayed the lost ring. “Maliit na bagay. Ilang singsing ba yun? Palitan natin ng isandaang singsing.” (A little thing. How many rings were lost? Let’s replace it with a hundred rings.) Lola Bahbah then revealed her main source of income at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “I have a jewelry store in Paris, Milan, Hongkong. Pumili ka dun.” (Take your pick.)
Lola Bahbah had some of the merchandise in her trolleys. She ordered her Sigue Sigue Sprutnik to open them. It took awhile to open them as they were wrapped in plastic. Bullets in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport caused passengers like Lola Bahbah to desperate measures. [As of this writing, those bullets still plagued passengers.] One of the trolleys got opened in the ALDUB Last Chance episode.
The opened trolley revealed several jewelry boxes. Lola Bahbah told Alden to pick some. Alden then took a couple of boxes to appease Lola Nidora. “Lola, baka puede na po ito.” (Granny, these might do.) Lola Nidora chose not to aceept them. “Marami din akong ganyan!” (I have a lot of those too!) She then told the Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio to pull our her vanity kit. The ALDUB Last Chance episode has turned into a shade fest between moneyed matrons.
Lola Nidora then saw that the jewels in the bag were fake. She told them to bring out the real deal. One of the Rogelios mentioned that where the jewels are. Lola Nidora told him to keep his voice down. “Wag mong isigaw na nakasangla. Kinapos lang tayo nang may bisita tayo sa bungalow.” (Don’t say loudly that they are at the pawnshop. We only came up short when we had guests at the bungalow.) Lola Nidora told everyone to keep quiet. Lola Bahbah – 1. Lola Nidora – 0.
Lola Bahbah was telling her bodyguards to open all the trolleys while waiting for Lola Nidora at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Isang singsing papalitan namin, Lola Nidora. Wag mo lang i-beast mode ang apo ko. At lahat ng bagay ay mapapagusapan. Hindi natin kailangang mag-away, Lola Nidora. Mukhang mabait ka naman. Even if hindi ka naman kagandahan.” (We are willing to replace that one ring. Just don’t go beast mode on my grand-son. Everything can be negotiated. We don’t have to argue, Granny Nidora. You look nice. Even if you are not that pretty.)
It ticked off Lola Nidora big time. “Bakit kailangan mong banggitin? Kabaitan pala pinaguusapan. Bakit napunta sa pisikal?” (Why mention it? We’re talking about niceties. Why go physical?) YayaDUB and Donya Tidora had to restrain her. Where was Donya Tinidora when her sarcasm is badly needed? Alden took on defending Lola Nidora. “Mabait po. Sobra.” (She’s nice. Very nice.)
Lola Bahbah looked at Lola Nidora again. “Minsan merong kasabihan. Nasa hitsura ang ugali.” (There was once a proverb. Attitude is in the appearance.) Lola Bahbah then explained the other reason for the surprise visit. “Lola Nidora, ang totoo niyan ay birthday ko ngayon. At gusto ko namang makasama ang apo ko. Puro negosyo ang hinaharap ko. Pareho naman tayong lola. Puede ba kong humiling sa yo? Regalo mo na lamang ang birthday ko. Bayaan mo sa birthday mo. Makakahiling ka rin sa akin.” (Granny Nidora, the truth is it’s my birthday today. And I would like to be with my grand-child. All I ever got preoccupied with is business. Let this be your birthday treat to me. Don’t worry, On your birthday, you can ask from me.)
Lola Nidora protested at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Bakit ako magreregalo? Ngayon ko lang nakita yan!” (Why would I give anything? I only saw her today!) YayaDUB and Donya Tidora held Lola Nidora on both sides to calm her down. Lola Bahbah went on with her request. “Umuwi ako para maging happy ako. Pagbigyan mo na ang apo ko.” (I came home to be happy. Let my grand-child be.) Lola Nidora just hummed a birthday tune to the camera while looking at Lola Bahbah. Lola Bahbah was polite enough to thank Lola Nidora.
Lola Bahbah then asked Lola Nidora at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Makakasama ko ba siya ngayong birthday ko?” (Will he be with me on my birthday?) Lola Nidora let them be. “E di mag-usap kayo. Kayo ang magkamag-anak. Ano ba ang kinalaman ko diyan? Wala namang pumipigil sa inyo.” (Then talk to each other. You are the relatives. What business do I have with that? Nobody’s stopping you.)
Lola Bahbah had enough of Lola Nidora’s tantrums. “Ewan ko sa yo, Lola Nidora.” (Whatever, Granny Nidora.) Lola Bahbah pulled Alden aside. “Ipaliwanag mo ang lahat ng nangyari at ako ang bahala dito sa Lola Nidora na ito.” (Explain everything that happened and I will take care of this granny Nidora.) Lola Nidora simply reminded Alden of the ring through her hand gesture.
Lola Bahbah let out her Waray accent at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Do not! Gusto ko ng dunat!” (I want a doughnut!) Lola Nidora felt played. “Tidora, parang na-emotional blackmail ako dun. Birthday pala.” (Tidora, that felt like emotional blackmail. It’s her birthday.) Donya Tidora just let it go. “Hayaan mo na, ate, Kasi kapag birthday pinagbibigyan.” (Let her, elder sister. During birthdays, we let them have their way.)
Lola Nidora protested. “Kahit ngayon pa lang nakita?” (Even if I just met her today?) YayaDUB and Donya Tidora held Lola Nidora again in an effort to avoid her from snapping. Lola Nidora decided to go on their Sugod Bahay errand instead. Donya Tidora tried sending YayaDUB to another errand. Lola Nidora thought it should be delegated to the Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio instead. But YayaDUB immediately got the drift and went as Donya Tidora told her.
After the Sugod Bahay segment at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. The Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio helped their winner carry her prizes on her way home. Lola Baba was then shown with her mouth full. “Aldren, masarap ang turon. Wala kang dunat.” (The spring roll tasted good. You don’t have doughnuts.) She had nothing to say to Lola Nidora. So she just asked Lola Nidora to say something.
Lola Nidora just greeted her a happy birthday. Her wish was simple. “Sana nakapag-usap kayo ng apo mo nang maayos.” (Hopefully you got to talk to your grand-son appropriately.) She then clarified herself to Lola Bahbah at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Alam mo, hindi ko naman kailangan ng maraming alahas na katulad ng pinakita mo kanina. Ang singsing na pinagkatiwala ko kay Alden ang gusto ko.” (You know, I don’t need many pieces of jewelry like the ones you showed awhile ago. The ring I entrusted to Alden is what I want.)
Lola Bahbah spoke in defense of Alden at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Pero, Lola Nidora, wag mo namang bigyan ng 24 hours na taning ang apo ko. Yun lamang ang hiling ko sa yo. At kahit wala ang singsing. Kayang patunayan ng apo ko ang love or pag-ibig kay Ursula. Yan ang tinuro ko sa aking apo.” (But, Granny Nidora, don’t set a deadline of 24 hours to my grand-child. That’s all I ask of you. And despite the ring’s absence. My grand-child can prove his love for Ursula.)
Lola Bahbah took pride in her proverb. “Tell me who your friends are. And I will tell you who my friends are. Marami akong friends. Kaya ka namin.” (I have a lot of friends. We can handle you.) She didn’t specify whether she’s referring to the Kremlin or the KGB. Lola Nidora relented as her birthday gift to Lola Bahbah at the ALDUB Last Chance episode.
Alden was very thankful to Lola Nidora. And so was Lola Bahbah. Later she scolded Alden for not having any doughnuts. Later, YayaDUB came back with a birthday treat for Lola Bahbah. Then everyone sang happy birthday for Lola Bahbah. [It was Ai Ai delas Alas’ birthday hence her cameo at the ALDUB Last Chance episode.] Even the ALDUB Nation present at the Broadway Centrum joined in singing happy birthday for her. Lola Bahbah was moved to tears.
Lola Nidora addressed Lola Bahbah as “Donya Bahbah” when she greeted her again a happy birthday. “Nawa’y humaba pa.” (May it get longer.) Donya Tidora reminded Lola Nidora that it’s Lola Bahbah’s birthday. So she had to be nice at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Nawa’y humaba pa ang buhay mo. At sa pag-uwi mo, mag-bonding kayo ng maayos at masaya ng apo mo.” (May your life get longer. And in coming home, bond happily and nicely with your grand-child.)
Lola Bahbah was grateful at the ALDUB Last Chance episode. “Kahit matapobre ako, nakaka-appreciate naman ako. ” (Even if I am snooty, I know how to appreciate.) She then took the opportunity to ask Lola Nidora of her birthday. “Sabihin mo sa akin at bibigyan kita ng maraming gift.” (Tell me and I will send over many gifts.) Lola Nidora politely turned her down. But she reminded Alden that tomorrow is no longer Lola Bahbah’s birthday.
Allan K and Alden had to remind her of the weeksary next day. Lola Nidora stood her ground. “Papano nga magwe-weeksary? Walang singsing.” (How can the weeksary push through? There is no ring.) Since Lola Nidora hasn’t let go of the lost ring as an issue. Lola Bahbah asked her again about her birthday. Just when Lola Nidora has relented on revealing her birthday, the truck horn and the car horn honked simultaneously. End of the ALDUB Last Chance episode.
YayaDUB took on the the epilogue in the absence of Gasgas. She DUBsmashed to the tune of Rey Langit. Voiced by Wally Bayola. Alden then wrote on his clipboard while waiting for YayaDUB to finish reading their list of sponsors. Yeah! Alden sneaked in a pickup line for YayaDUB. Lola Bahbah then pinched Alden for being a flirt. Then scolded him in Russian. Alden then replied in Russian gibberish. Would Lola Bahbah be back in the next episodes of the hit KalyeSerye? A cameo that ignited new blood into the KalyeSerye phenomenon. About time that the fictional version of Alden Richards be tinkered with. And now he has a fictional grandmother to come to his defense when the Kalye’s Angels least expect it. Would the feedback be strong enough for a comeback? More episode recaps to come.
