ALDUB The Visitor episode shows Donya Tinidora outside her usual element. There is upbeat music in the background. But the same upbeat mood cannot be said of her face. The KalyeSerye commentators were quick to ask her what happened. And she is really not in the mood. She answered in decent English. “There is a lot of people. You know I need to call my sisters.”
Donya Tinidora is half-sarcastic, half-upset. Sarcasm has become her coping mechanism. Then she mixed up the languages again. “Oh my God. I’m so azar. There’s so many pakelamera here. Basta.” She seemed affected over something she can’t voice out. Not even the return of the Cuando Cuando Cuando could cheer her up. “You’re all amoy Bermuda!” Bossing Vic Sotto tried to reason in behalf of the Cuando Cuando Cuando he once impersonated. “Mabuti nga Bermuda. Hindi carabao grass.” (At least they smelled like Bermuda grass. Not carabao grass.)
Donya Tidora tried to cheer up Donya Tinidora up once she arrived. Donya Tinidora had difficulty expressing herself. “I’m not peeling well.” She might have meant that she’s not “feeling” well. So Donya Tidora taught her sister how to project like a ramp model. Donya Tinidora felt like a treadmill at some of the steps though. But she came through the “fierce” expressions at ALDUB The Visitor episode.
Alden showed up on the other monitor at ALDUB The Visitor episode. Lola Nidora and YayaDUB arrived seconds after he asked Donya Tidora and Donya Tinidora. Dawin’s track Dessert played on the background. But Lola Nidora wasn’t in the mood to dance. Instead she was seen talking on the phone, giving instructions to Rihanna. From the food to the rest of the arrangements.
Lola Nidora seemed stressed. “Gusto nyo lagi ako lahat. Isipin ko pa kayo. Si Rihanna, walang mangyayari kundi bibilinan.” (You want me to handle everything. I even had to think of you. With Rihanna, nothing will happen unless I tell her.) Donya Tidora appeased her since Rihanna is at least trust-worthy. YayaDUB though is in a fouler mood. Alden tried to cheer her up in ALDUB The Visitor episode. But all she could DUBsmash back is “No no no no no no no!”
The KalyeSerye commentators even coached Alden what to say to cheer up YayaDUB. “Pansinin mo kaya yung shorts.” (Pay attention to her shorts.) Donya Tinidora took pride at seeing YayaDUB wear shorts in ALDUB The Visitor episode. “Ayan! Dyan nagmana sa kin magdamit ng ganyan!” (There! She learned how to dress like that from me!) Lola Nidora scolded Donya Tinidora for the alleged bad influence.
Because YayaDUB is beyond inconsolable in ALDUB The Visitor episode. Lola Nidora explained. “Na-hack daw yung social media accounts niya. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, email …” (She said her social media accounts got hacked including email.) Donya Tinidora was clueless about getting hacked. Donya Tidora had to explain her what hacking was. Someone else got access of her social media accounts. So ended up getting locked out of them. [NOTE: Rappler reported Maine Mendoza’s social media accounts as hacked by Anonymous Philippines in an attempt to promote their Million Mask March. A social media backlash ensued.]
Alden took the responsibility of making YayaDUB smile again. It was tough. YayaDUB took the hacking to heart. It was the worst invasion of privacy. She was so upset. She had no time for “kilig” (giddyness). The pick-up lines failed. YayaDUB even snapped back a harsh pick-up line for him. “Alden, si Lola ka ba?” (Alden, are you granny?) Alden asked why. YayaDUB replied. “Ang kulit mo eh.” (You’re so persistent.) She did not mean that in a cute way. There is nothing cute about her mood in ALDUB The Visitor episode.
Lola Nidora realized how bad YayaDUB’s mood is. She prompted on the Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio to give her one of her chewables. That’s how it affected YayaDUB. She can’t even hand Lola Nidora her medicine. She even ended up becoming collateral damage to YayaDUB’s foul mood. Later in ALDUB The Visitor episode, a car horn honked.
Almost nobody recognized Alden when he appeared again in ALDUB The Visitor episode. He dressed up as Lola Nidora and impersonated one of the top DUBsmash clips of Maine Mendoza on her IG account. It was tough. But YayaDUB was seen suppressing her laughter. Also, it reminded her of the DUBsmash videos on IG that she might not retrieve again. [One of the folks who claimed in hacking Maine Mendoza’s IG account introduced himself as Vice, according to the Rappler report, adding malice to the already volatile situation.]
One of the KalyeSerye commentators, Boss Joey de Leon, ended up dishing out his sarcasm too. With Eat Bulaga’s main moneymaker at the brink of dissolution, he made a suggestion. “Balik na tayo sa Pinoy Henyo.” (Let’s go back to Pinoy Henyo.) Pinoy Henyo used to be one of the top draws of the show apart from EB Problem Solving. With the EB Problem Solving’s spin-off itself having a problem, nobody could blame Boss Joey for the sarcastic remark. Alden retreated to his den for the meantime instead of insisting on making YayaDUB happy.
YayaDUB would then look for Alden whenever he is not onscreen. Donya Tinidora almost chastised YayaDUB. “Pag wala naman hinahanap.” (But when he’s not around, she looks for him.) Boss Joey just remarked. “Ganyan talaga ang mga babae.” (That’s how women are.) Lola Nidora was a few steps short of telling YayaDUB the typical I-told-you-so. “Ayan, yaya. Masyado ka kasing pabebe. Minsan kasi ang asal natin, inaayon natin sa ganda.” (There, nanny. You’re too childish. Sometimes our beauty should match our attitude.)
YayaDUB realized that Alden had really hidden from the monitor. “Alden, sori na.” (Alden, I’m sorry.) Lola Nidora continued with her sermon. “Kapag ang tao ay nage-effort na, tapos ikaw naman ayaw. Hindi na nakakaganda yan. Dapat matuto kang mag-appreciate sa effort ng ibang tao. At kung anong bagay ang binigay sa yo.” (Whenever a person is making an effort then you’re the one refusing. It doesn’t make you pretty. You have to learn appreciating other people’s efforts. And whatever they give you.) Ridden with guilt at ALDUB The Visitor episode. YayaDUB begged for Alden’s forgiveness. “Alden, bati na tayo.” (Alden, let’s make peace.)
It took awhile for Alden to show up again on his monitor. Alden was then shown on the other monitor sitting down. Donya Tinidora dished out her sarcasm too. “Alden, wag ka nang maarte. Uupakan kita.” (Alden, stop acting up. I’d beat you up.) Alden immediately stood up knowing how serious Donya Tinidora could get. He then told YayaDUB. “Gusto lang naman kitang pasayahin.” (I just want to make you happy.) YayaDUB then DUBsmashed Jolina Magdangal’s “Tameme”. Alden replied in ALDUB The Visitor episode with Ronnie Liang’s “Ngiti”.
Lola Nidora saw Alden and YayaDUB make peace. She only had one problem. “Ayan na naman kayo. Tamis! Parang magkaka-diabetes ako.” (There you go again. So sweet! As if I’m about to contract diabetes.) Donya Tidora chastised her for the bitter attitude in ALDUB The Visitor episode. Donya Tinidora then remembered the ramp modeling tips that Donya Tidora shared awhile ago. Lola Nidora almost tripped on her way to joining her sisters. It proved to be an effective distraction for now.
It served as some deja vu for Donya Tinidora. “Parang nakita ko na to ah. Para tayong tanga.” (I’ve seen this before. We’re like idiots.) Donya Tidora may be affected. But she continued with her impromptu ramp modeling workshop. She taught her “students” even the right way to smile. It looked more like an attempt to lockjaw. Even one of the KalyeSerye commentators, Allan K, was encouraged to project like a model from where he was at ALDUB The Visitor episode.
Lola Nidora’s phone rang again. She has changed her phone password. It no longer required an eye scan. The phone has become her pseudo-breathalyzer. “Ako lang ang may hininga na ganito. Hindi nila maha-hack.” (Only I have this breath. They can’t hack it.) Later, she excused herself in ALDUB The Visitor episode. “Aalis ako. May aasikasuhin ako agad. Tungkol ito sa ating lupain. Meron daw umaaligid na riding in tandem. Tandaan nyo! Pribado ang ating lupain. Dapat hindi natin hinahayaan ang mga yan! Trespassing yan!” (I have to go. I have to attend to something. It’s about our real property. Some riding in tandem were spotted there. Remember! Our real property is private property. We should not allow such incidents! That’s trespassing!)
The real property to be protected served as an analogy to the social media accounts that YayaDUB is still trying to retrieve in ALDUB The Visitor episode. “Ang personal na gamit natin, dapat iniingatan natin yan. Andyan ang mga saloobin nyo. Irespeto ang sariling gamit at ibang bagay na pinapahalagahan. Maging responsable. Importante ang may respeto sa kapwa. Ang bawat kabutihan na gagawin mo ay maganda rin ang balik sa yo. Kung pangit ang ginawa mo, doble-doble rin ang balik sa yo. Pare-pareho naman tayong may karapatang pantao.” (Our personal items should be taken care of. Our innermost thoughts are there. Respect one’s own property and other items that are given importance of. Be responsible. It’s important to have respect towards people. Every good deed generates a good return. If you did something bad, it would return to you twice. We all have human rights.)
Donya Tinidora had sensible advice to share too at ALDUB The Visitor episode. “At kayo namang may Facebook at Twitter account. Wag namang buong buhay nyo ang ilalagay nyo dyan. Napagiinteresan tuloy.” (And you with Facebook and Twitter accounts. Don’t pour your life there. You end up becoming persons of interest.) It might have been her reaction to how Maine Mendoza’s old tweets get dug up for public consumption. Tweets as old at 2010 or older. Lola Nidora then left. Donya Tidora and Donya Tinidora went forward with their Sugod Bahay errand with YayaDUB.
Lola Nidora returned from her international flight [huh?] after the Sugod Bahay segment. “Ayun! Inasikaso ko na ang mga lupain natin. Saka nagpatulong na rin ako sa Rogelios International Chapter.” (There! I handled our property. And I asked help from the Rogelios International Chapter.) Alden appeased YayaDUB at ALDUB The Visitor episode. “Wag ka nang mag-alala. Wag ka nang sad. Sabi nga ni aleng maliit, bawal ang sad. Dapat happy.” (Don’t worry. Don’t be sad. According to little miss, no sadness allowed. It should be happiness.)
Lola Nidora then received another phone call. It was yesterday’s caller. She called to confirm her arrival at ALDUB The Visitor episode. As the visitor’s SUV honked, the truck horn honked too. While ALDUB The Visitor episode may have ended. Alden still found time for entertaining YayaDUB. “Maine, kahit na-hack ang account mo, ang puso ko hindi maha-hack. Ikaw lang ang may hawak ng password nito.” (Maine, even if your account is hacked, my heart will never be hacked. Only you held the password here.)
Only one clue was given as who the visitor is. According to Bossing Vic Sotto. “In fairness, ang pangit ng paa.” (In fairness, such ugly feet.) He then asked. “Di ba natin makikita kung sino yung pangit na paang yun?”(Aren’t we seeing to whom those ugly feet are?) Tune in to Eat Bulaga. Monday to Saturday at noontime.
