The ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode opens with Donya Tinidora. It’s never to late to write her own diary as Boss Joey observed. “Sarili niyang diary yan. Excited ka ba, Tinidora? Excited ka na sa diary mo?” (It’s her own diary. Are you excited, Tinidora? Excited about your diary?) Donya Tinidora was more than elated. “Excited na excited ako.” (I am so excited.) Allan K can’t help but observe though. “Love story ni Tinidora. Bakit ka naiiyak?” (Why are you crying?) Lola Nidora was heard from the background before Donya Tinidora could answer. “Rogelio, Rogelio, Rogelio!”
Donya Tinidora then admitted why she cried at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Hanggang bukas ka na lang pala.” (You’re only [staying] until tomorrow.) She was referring to Senator Tito’s last day at Eat Bulaga before joining the senatorial campaign trail. Lola Nidora tried to console Donya Tinidora though. “Wag ka nang umiyak. May mga pinamili ako.” (Stop crying. I have bought some stuff.)
Donya Tinidora was concerned about Lola Nidora’s spending. “Ano na naman ang mga pinamili mo? Ikaw! Baka mamaya, kung anu-ano ang mga binibili mong yan. Ginagastos mo imbis na gamot mo na lang ang binibili mo.” (What have you bought again? They might be some random stuff. You’re spending what could have been budget for your medication.) Lola Nidora didn’t think of the stuff she bought as insignificant though. “Eto na nga yung mga binili ko, pampaswerte mga bilog.” (I bought items for luck like round items.) Allan K then remembered that the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok is a few days before the holiday. “Chinese New Year.”
Lola Nidora took out the items from her bag. “Kiat kiat, bigas at saka Ponkan.” (Mini oranges, rice and Ponkan oranges.) Donya Tinidora looked for other items that attracted luck for the ALDUB Panibagong Pagsubok episode. “Dapat meron kang 99 na coins.” (You should carry 99 coins.) Lola Nidora was somewhat optimistic about the upcoming year. “Baka sakaling swertehin na tayo. Maibenta na yung sa Zambales.” (We might get lucky. We might finally get our property in Zambales sold.)
Lola Nidora kept consoling Donya Tinidora at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Wag ka na malungkot, Tinidora. Bakit ka ba malungkot?” (Don’t be sad, Tinidora. Why are you sad?) Donya Tinidora explained as she set aside her diary. “Papanong di ako lulungkot? Pag may ganyan ka, ate, mabuti pa yung pumunta ka na lang sa Broadway. Naggagaganyan ka pa. Pumunta tayo sa Broadway. Maraming swerte doon.” (How will I not be sad? Whenever you’re like that, you should have went to Broadway instead. You eve shopped. Let’s go to Broadway. There are a lot of lucky items there.) Lola Nidora got thinking again. “Ah ganun ba? E di kainin na lang natin itong pinamili ko.” (Is that so? Let’s just eat these fruits.)
Donya Tinidora thought of going to Broadway. “Dun sa Broadway tayo pumunta. Sigurado maraming pampaswerte doon.” (Let’s go to Broadway Centrum. For sure, there are a lot of lucky items there.) It was at this point in the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok when Divina arrived. “Lola, mano po.” The sisters were peeling the little oranges when Lola Nidora suddenly remembered what happened at the ALDUB 29th Weeksary episode. “Hoy, ikaw, Divina. Nakita ko yung halik ni Alden sa ‘yo kahapon. Ano yun? Ano yun? Ha?” (You! I saw Alden’s kiss yesterday. What’s that? What is that?)
Divina tried to explain through her lapel mic. “Lola? Maski po ako nagulat.” (Even I was shocked.) Lola Nidora and Donya Tinidora alternately asked her. “Pano ka nagulat?” (How were you shocked?) Divina tried to recreate the face she made at the ALDUB 29th Weeksary episode. “Huh?” Donya Tinidora saw a smile show at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode though. “Pero may ngiti ha?” (But there was a smile, huh?) Divina meant it though. “Pero seryoso. Di ko naman po alam kasi na gagawin niya yun eh. Dapat siya tanungin nyo, lola. San na ba yun?” (Seriously. I didn’t know that he’d do that. You should ask him. Where is he again?)
Allan K tried to vouch for Alden at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubook episode. “Saka pisngi lang naman yun, lola.” (It’s just on the cheek, granny.) Divina started calling Alden in case he’s at his den. “Alden? Magpaliwanag ka.” (Alden? Explain yourself.) Several knocks on the door were shortly heard. Boss Joey then asked Divina. “Yaya, nagalit ka ba?” (Nanny, did you get angry?) Donya Tinidora reached for the door beside her. “Sandali. May tao. Pasok. Halika.” (Wait. There’s someone at the door. Come in. Come.)
Donya Tinidora waited for someone to come in. Only for the guest to use the other door. “Pambihira. Sa kabila dumaan. Lagot ka, hijo.” (Oh great. He used the other door. You’re in trouble, son.) It was Alden arriving at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Lola? Bless po, lola.” He approached Lola Nidora too. She refused to extend her hand to Alden though. Donya Tinidora reminded Lola Nidora that Alden is still trying to pay his respects.“Gumagalang yung bata.” (The kid is paying his respects to you.)
Alden brought some gifts too. “May mga dala po akong pampaswerte. May dala po akong tikoy po. Hello, Divina.” (I have some lucky items. I have some “tikoy” too. Hello, Divina.) Donya Tinidora immediately chastised Alden, just in case. “Ano? Hahalik ka na naman?” (What? You’re going to kiss again?) Alden tried to kiss Lola Nidora’s hand at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. Lola Nidora still refused to let Alden kiss it. “Wag mo kong hawakan.” (Don’t touch me.)
Alden brought some red envelopes too. “May dala po akong ang pao.” (I have some Chinese red envelopes.) Lola Nidora refused to give in. She even stood on top of the bench. “Hindi mo ako madadala sa ganyan. Ano ginawa mo kay Divina?” (You will not get me carried away with those [gifts]. What did you do to Divina?) Donya Tinidora was happy with the red envelopes though at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Wag ka nang umangal. May dalang ang pao. Dalawa sa kin.” (Stop complaining. He has some Chinese red envelopes. 2 of them are mine.)
Lola Nidora cut to the chase at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Bakit mo ninakawan ng halik yung si Yaya?” (Why did you steal a kiss from nanny?) She then made the kung-fu pose. It may have scared Alden. But he still managed to explain himself. “Nadala lang po ako ng damdamin ko, lola.” (I was just carried away, granny.) That was enough to pacify Lola Nidora at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Ah. Nadala lang ng damdamin. Maupo ka.” (Oh. You were carried away. Sit down.)
Senator Tito was just a little bothered with the lapel mics. “Maingay yung ano …” (They’re noisy.) Lola Nidora heard them too. “Maingay yung lapel mic. Wag nyong ginagalaw yung antenna.” (The lapel mics were noisy. Stop tinkering with the antenna.) The crew present at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode tried to fix the audio. Lola Nidora then turned her attention back to Alden and Divina. “Matanong ko kayong dalawa. Divina, kayo na ba nito ni Alden?” (Let me ask you two. Are you of Alden an item now?)
Divina was quick to answer. “Naku, lola. Hindi po.” (Granny, no.) Lola Nidora isn’t buying it. “Magsabi kayo ng totoo.” (Be honest.) Divina swore that she is not in a relationship with Alden. “Promise, hindi po.” (I’m not. I promise.) Donya Tinidora tried to restrain Lola Nidora at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Wag mo nang pagalitan. Ang itanong natin kay Divina, ano yung pangalawang condition mo?” (Stop scolding them. We should ask Divina, what is the second condition?)
Alden knew about the second condition at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Kaya po ako pumunta ngayon kasi gusto ko pong malaman kung ano yung pangalawa.” (That’s why I came today because I want to know what the second condition is.) Divina revealed some details. “Alden, ganito kasi yan. Yung pangalawang condition, hindi para sa akin. Para sa mga lola ko. Kasi sila yung pamilya ko. Gusto ko lagi silang masaya. Suyuin mo mga lola ko.” (This is how it goes. The second condition is not for me. It’s for my grannies. Because they are my family. I want them to be happy always. So woo them.)
Alden is willing to do it. “Para sa yo, madali lang naman suyuin si Lola eh.” (For you, it would be easy to woo the grannies.) Divina asked Alden just to be sure at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Kaya mo?” (Can you?) Alden said he can. “Kayang kaya. Ano bang gusto nyong gawin ko, lola? On the spot.” (I can do it. What would you like me to do, granny?) Donya Tinidora’s skepticism returns. “On the spot? Pagkatapos mong nakawan ng halik yan, on the spot? Lagot ka. Pahihirapan ka ngayon niyan.” (After stealing a kiss, you’re claiming on the spot? You’re minced meat. She would make it hard for you.)
Divina felt guilty about the kiss too. Somewhat. “Na-on the spot din naman po ako eh.” (I was put on the spot too.) Lola Nidora put on her stern face at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Alam mo, eto gawin mo. Wala kang gagawin para hindi mo ako masuyo.” (You know, do this. Do nothing so that you cannot woo me.) Alden had to ask. “Bakit naman, lola?” (Why, ganny?) Divina tried to calm down Lola Nidora too. “Lola, wag naman po mainit ang ulo.” (Please don’t be hot-headed.)
Lola Nidora had to tell it like it is to Alden. “Hindi ka pa nga nagso-sorry dito eh.” (You haven’t even said sorry to her.) Divina then tried to whisper to Alden behind Lola Nidora. “Basta, Alden. Siguraduhin mo. Mapapasaya mo ang mga lola.” (Make sure. That you will make the grannies happy.) Alden whispered back to Divina. Again, behind Lola Nidora at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Wag kang mag-alala. Pasasayahin ko ang mga lola.” (Don’t worry. I will make the grannies happy.)
Divina realized how loud her own lapel mic is. “Teka. Masyadong malakas.” (Wait. The mic is too loud.) Donya Tinidora saw what Alden did though at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Teka. Yung style mo. Pinatay mo yung mic mo eh para dun ka mag-mic sa kanya. Eto. Kinuha na kitang sarili mo.” (Wait. I know your style. You turned off your lapel mic so you would use her lapel mic. Here. Have your own mic.)
Donya Tinidora wasted no time in reminded Lola Nidora. “Ate, ganito gawin natin ha? Parang nagpapalamig lang muna tayo ha? Maghatid muna tayo ng swerte sa barangay bago yang mga sermon-sermon mo.” (Here’s what we’ll do, okay? Let’s cool down. Let’s bring some luck around before you chastise them.) Once Donya Tinidora and Lola Nidora prepared for the upcoming Sugod Bahay errand at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. Alden said goodbye too. “Magpapaalam po muna ako. May aayusin lang po ako.” (I have to say goodbye. I have to fix something.)
Divina had to go as well. “Ako rin po, lola. Alis na po ako. Magre-review pa po ako.” (Me too, granny. I have to go. I need to review my lessons.) At this point in the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. Donya Tinidora has opened the Chinese red envelopes. And saw the contents. “Ang apelido mo ba, Tuviera? Bakit may bente dito?” (Is your last name “Tuviera”? How come there’s Php20 in here?) Alden knew that the point of these envelopes to be lucky is by putting cash in them. “Pampaswerte po.” (For luck.) Allan K got the gist too. “Kahit magkano naman.” (Any amount will do.)
Divina sent some last minute instructions to Alden before going to her room. “Basta ha? Pasayahin mo ang mga lola.” (Just make the grannies happy.) Alden asked a few minutes more from Divina though from the grannies. “May sasabihin lang po ako kay Divina.” (I just need to talk to Divina.) Alden then ended up in a DUBsmash exchange with Divina at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode.
Divina then excused herself afterwards. “Akyat na po ako, lola. Magre-review po ako.” (I’d go upstairs now, granny. I have to review.) Lola Nidora then prepped up for their errand. “Magsu-Sugod Bahay kami. Nakaharang kayo diyan.” (We’re having a Sugod Bahay segment and you’re blocking our way.) The KalyeSerye commentary panel then drew the lot for the next Sugod Bahay winner.
After the Sugod Bahay segment at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. Donya Tinidora was still perplexed at how lenient Lola Nidora had gotten towards Divina and Alden. “Ganun-ganun na lang ba yun? Si Divina at saka si Alden? Pero mababait naman yung mga bata.” (Just like that? But the kids are nice.) Lola Nidora was still being careful though. “Pinagkakatiwalaan ko naman sila. Hindi naman maaalis sa ‘kin ang mag-alala. Mapusok ako nung kabataan ko. Kaya ayaw kong maranasan ni Divina yung mga nangyari sa ‘kin.” (I trust them. You can’t stop me from worrying. I was aggressive when I was young. So I don’t want Divina to experience what happened to me.)
Senator Tito tried to make up for lost time.“Ano ba kasi ang nangyari?” (What happened?) Donya Tinidora tried to summarize the story the best way he could. “Napakapusok kasi nito nung kabataan niya.” (She was very aggressive in her youth.) Lola Nidora was setting the mood internally. Donya Tinidora turned her attention back to Lola Nidora at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Ang pusok mo. Hindi mo naituloy. Ano na ang nangyari sa yo nang lumayas ka sa mansion?” (You had raging hormones. And you haven’t continued the story. What happened when you ran away from the mansion?)
Lola Nidora reopened her diary then at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Dear Diary. Sa pagtakbo ko kay Mama, nadapa ako. Mabuti na lang may tumulong sa akin. Natakot ako sa maaaring mangyari sa akin. Walang kasing bilis ang tibok ng puso ko. Maraming pangamba. Pero nangibabaw ang pag-ibig. Hanggang sumakit ang tiyan ko. Nagpahinga muna ako.” (In running away from Mama, I tripped. Good thing somebody helped me. I got scared with what would happen to me. My heart raced like never before. I have a lot of fears. But love prevailed. Until I had stomach cramps again. I had to rest.)
Lola Nidora recalled how her mother took her escape. “Si Mama naman ay napuno ng hinanakit dahil sa aking pagtakas.” (Mama was filled with resentment because of my escape.)Later at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. Donya Ariana was shown somewhat calm compared to previous ANSERA episodes. “Parang gusto ko nang sumuko. Ginawa ko naman ang lahat para maayos si Nidora. Gusto ko lamang mapabuti ang aking anak.” (It’s as if I want to give up. I did everything to keep Nidora on the straight and narrow path. I just want my daughter the best for her welfare.)
Donya Ariana was contemplative at this point in the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. To the point of compromise. “Gusto ko rin naman makilala si Anselmo at ang pamilya niya. Para kung sakaling silang dalawa talaga ni Nidora sa isa’t isa, alam ko na nasa mabuti ang anak ko.” (I want to know Anselmo too and his family. So if ever if they of Nidora really end up together, I know that my child is in good hands.)
Anselmo, on the other hand, was confined at the hospital. He collapsed at the ANSERA Volume 9. If not for Pepito, his condition could have worsened. Lola Nidora narrated what she remembered upon finding Anselmo at the hospital. “Nagtagpo rin kami ng aking irog.” (And I found my beloved.) Nidora wasted no time in telling Anselmo the good news at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Magkakaanak na tayo.” (We’re going to have a baby.)
Anselmo was overjoyed. But he got worried for Nidora. “Pano ka nakatakas sa ‘yong ina?” (How did you get away from your mother?) Nidora made it sound easy at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Nakausap ko si Beyonce. Kelangan ko kasing gawin yun eh.” (I talked to Beyonce. I need to do that.) Despite being bed-ridden, Anselmo DUBsmashed VST and Company’s “Ikaw Lang Ang Aking Mahal”. In no time, Anselmo had another migraine attack. Nidora called the doctor in her panic.
Boss Joey saw a different doctor come in. “Doctor Asyong pala ito eh.” (It’s Doctor Asyong.) [Asyong was Anjo Yllana’s film character from the Asyong Aksaya franchise.] The doctor checked on Anselmo, mostly on the forehead. Seeing Nidora pregnant at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode, he mistook her as his wife. “Misis, malubha na ang iyong asawa. Magpakatatag ka. Kelangan siyang operahan. Yun lang ang paraan para madugtungan ang kanyang buhay.” (Madam, your husband is in dire condition. Be strong. He needed to be operated on. It’s the only way to save his life.)
By this time, the lapel mics were a little defective. Boss Joey just thought of the period approach used in the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “1945 kasi kaya ganun ang sound.” (It’s 1945 so the sound is muffled.) It allowed Lola Nidora to continue her narration though. “Nung panahon na yun, malala na pala ang kanyang TSU.” (At that time, his brain tumor has gone malignant.)
Anselmo was unconscious. But Nidora tried to talk to Anselmo knowing that he can hear her at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Anselmo? Anselmo, sana naririnig mo ako. Makinig ka sa akin. Lumaban ako. Lumaban ka para sa magiging anak mo, Anselmo.” (I hope you can hear me well. Listen to me. I fought for our love. Please fight for your baby, Anselmo.)
At the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. Nidora can’t fathom the thought of life without Anselmo. “Anselmo, hindi ko alam anong mangyayari kapag nawala ka. Nang dahil sa yo, nakaramdam ako ng tunay na pagmamahal. Wag kang susuko ha? Lalaban tayong dalawa. Gagawa ako ng paraan. Naniniwala ako na mananaig ang pagmamahalan nating dalawa.” (I don’t know what will happen if you’re gone. Because of you, I felt true love. Please don’t give up, okay? We will fight. I will find a way. I believe that our love will prevail.)
Lola Nidora paused reading. It made Donya Tinidora ask. “Ate? Namatay si Anselmo?” (Anselmo died?) Lola Nidora cried instead of answering at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. It got Donya Tinidora nervous. “Alam mo, yang iyak mo na yan, parang nabasa ko na namatay si Anselmo.” (That cry, it’s as if I read that Anselmo died.) That’s when Lola Nidora realized how Donya Tinidora ended up seeing some pages on the diary. “Parang alam mo na yung kwento. E di ikaw na ang magtuloy.” (As if you knew the story all along. Continue it yourself.)
Donya Tinidora denied peeping at the diary yet again. “Nabasa ko kasi yung iyak mo. Kaya sige na nga. Ituloy mo na lang.” (I just saw how you cried. So go ahead. Continue with the story.) Lola Nidora was dumbfounded. Boss Joey had to motivate her at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode to keep on reading. “Nidora, kaya mo yan.” (Nidora, you can do it.)
Lola Nidora can’t find the strength to go on. “Parang di ko kayang basahin.” (I don’t think I can read further.) Donya Tinidora started speculating again at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Sabi ko na, namatay eh.” (I knew it. He died.) Boss Joey had to ask Donya Tinidora to tone down her nerves. “Hindi. Pabayaan mong manggaling sa labi niya.” (No. Let it come straight from her lips.) Lola Nidora doesn’t have her medication at hand to calm herself though. “Kinakalma ko ang sarili ko. Ipagbalat mo muna ako ng kiat kiat.” (I’m trying to calm myself. Please peel some kiat kiat for me.) Donya Tinidora then peeled some fruits for her sister.
Donya Ariana found another excuse to beat up Beyonce. “Talagang wala kang kwenta, Beyonce!” (You’re really useless!) Beyonce wasn’t searching for Nidora. So both were somewhat startled upon seeing Nidora return. Donya Ariana stopped herself from going physical on her daughter at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. Knowing that the latter is pregnant. “Nidora, mabuti naman at alam mo pa kung saan tayo nakatira.” (Good thing and you still know where do we live.)
Nidora immediately begged for forgiveness. “Patawarin nyo po ako, Mama.” (Please forgive me, Mama.) It wasn’t that easy for Donya Ariana at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Patawarin? Eh sinuway mo ako? Sa ginawa mong pagsama sa Anselmong yan, parang kinalimutan mo na rin ang babaeng nagdala sa yo ng 9 na buwan sa kanyang sinapupunan. Ang babaeng handang ibigay ang kanyang buong buhay para mapaayos ang buhay mo.” (Forgive? When you disobeyed me? When you went with that Anselmo, it was as if you have forgotten the woman who carried you for 9 months in her womb. The woman who’s ready to give her life for your welfare.)
Nidora pleaded for understanding at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Kung mahal nyo po ako talaga, maiintindihan nyo po na. Ang tanging kasalanan ko po ay umibig. Mama, mahal ko po si Anselmo. At siya ang magiging ama ng anak ko. Kung naiintindihan nyo po, magiging ina rin ako katulad ninyo, Mama. At bilang ina, alam nyo po na gagawin ko ang pinakamakabubuti sa aking magiging anak.” (If you really love me, you would understand. My only fault is falling in love. Mama, I love Anselmo. And he will be the father of my child. If you understand, I will be a mother like you. And as a mother, you know that I would do what is good for my child.)
Nidora eventually asked Donya Ariana. “Mama, nagmamakaawa po kami sa inyo. Tulungan nyo po kami ni Anselmo. Kelangan po namin ang tulong nyo.” (We beg you. Help us of Anselmo. We need your help.) Donya Ariana then thought of Anselmo as a fortune hunter again at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Sabi ko na nga ba. Gagamitin ka lang ng Anselmong yun para makaranas siya ng marangyang buhay.” (I knew it. That Anselmo will use you for a luxurious life.)
Nidora defended Anselmo. “Nagkakamali po kayo, Mama. Malubha po ang sakit ni Anselmo. Kayo lang po ang makakatulong sa amin. Kelangan po nyang maoperahan sa lalong madaling panahon. Parang awa nyo na po. Para sa anak ko po.” (You’re wrong. Anselmo’s illness is malignant. Only you can help us. He needed to be operated on immediately. Please have mercy. For my child’s sake.)
Donya Ariana then asked. “Magkano kelangan?” (How much is needed?) Nidora replied. “Bente mil po, mama.” (Php20,000.) For Donya Ariana, it’s peanuts. ”Bente mil. Maliit na bagay. Ibibigay ko yan para mailigtas ang buhay ng pinakamamahal mong Anselmo.” (Just a small amount. I would give it to save your beloved Anselmo.) Nidora was elated at the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok episode. “Talaga po, Mama? Salamat po.” (Really? Thank you.) Donya Ariana isn’t done yet though. “Ibibigay ko ang bente mil sa isang condition.” (I would give the Php20,000 on one condition.) The truck horn honked off, ending the ALDUB Pangalawang Pagsubok on a cliffhanger.
Boss Joey thought Beyonce a.k.a. YayaMot would pay the price. “Kala ko, nangangailangan ng dugo. Ibibigay dugo ni YayaMot.” (I thought they needed blood. And they would give YayaMot’s blood.)
