[ALDUB 18th Weeksary Featured Image from Eat Bulaga Telecast.] Previously in ALDUB The Rivalry episode. Alden asked for Lola Nidora’s permission in taking YayaDUB out on a date. The ALDUB 18th Weeksary started early to give way to Alden’s time in asking Lola Nidora’s permission in person. Lola Nidora let them despite her apprehensions. She just told YayaDUB to be herself in dating Alden. YayaDUB’s insecurities make her forget what Alden liked about her in the first place. Lola Nidora didn’t want her grand-niece to lose her identity in an effort to keep Alden. Facing Cindy head-on in modelling showdowns is one thing. Copying the competition is another. She allowed YayaDUB to go on a condition that she wear a cloak.
The KalyeSerye commentator finally has a woman sitting among them. It’s Julia Clarete. Together with Allan K and Boss Joey de Leon, they waited for Alden and YayaDUB to arrive. Alden’s date was set at Broadway Centrum. And it’s the first time that he spent time with YayaDUB away from Lola Nidora and her sisters. [Note: Donya Tinidora is still missing in action.] It made the ALDUB 18th Weeksary celebration extra special. Everyone hoped Cindy won’t show up.
Lola Nidora changed her mind. But it was too late. The car that took Alden and YayaDUB to their ALDUB 18th Weeksary date was already off. Also, Donya Tidora stopped her from chasing them. She advised her sister to stop her from pacing around. “Don’t let problems rule your life. Yung pinoproblema mo si Yaya. Hindi na bata yun.” (You’re problematic about nanny. She’s no longer a kid.) All Lola Nidora is left to do is worry. It doesn’t help. And Donya Tidora isn’t in the mood to comfort her that much either.
The KalyeSerye commentary panel had to make sure the car that arrived carried Alden and YayaDUB. Cindy might beat them to arriving on site. Stalker alert! The couple then hopped off to pay their respects to the KalyeSerye commentary panel. Boss Joey was so pleased at how mannered the couple is. “Yan ang mababait na bata.” (Such good kids.) Allan K chided Alden for looking genuinely happy. “Alden, halatang maligaya ka.” (Alden, you looked exhilarated.) He then told them to greet the ALDUB Nation waiting for them. Alden and YayaDUB then greeted the audience a happy weeksary.
Alden then greeted Lola Nidora as assurance that they arrived on Broadway Centrum safe and sound. “Lola, andito na kami sa Broadway,” (Granny, we’re here at Broadway.) Lola Nidora’s nerves haven’t calmed down. But she tried to answer. “Oo, hindi ako bulag. May 20 20 vision pa ko.” (Yes, I’m not blind. I still have 20/20 vision.) A phone was then heard ringing in the background. Lola Nidora called on the Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio for her phone. Later, it was discovered that it was Alden’s phone ringing at the ALDUB 18th Weeksary.
Alden answered the phone. It’s Cindy. At least compared to Donya Babah, she would call first before arriving. Alden then tried to convince her not to go. No. Under renovation. No I am not here.I am sick.” Alden faked a cough at the ALDUB 18th Weeksary episode then ended the call. YayaDUB’s day is almost ruined. “Si Cindy na naman? Andito na ko, si Cindy na naman? Weeksary natin?” (It’s Cindy again? I’m already here and there’s Cindy again? On our weeksary?)
Alden tried to calm her at the ALDUB 18th Weeksary episode. YayaDUB would have none of it. “Eh pano kung napunta siya rito?” (What if she comes over here?) Alden downplayed Cindy’s impending presence. “Alam mo kasi yun, model lang yun.” (You know that she’s just a model.) YayaDUB then asked. “Eh ako?” (How about me?) Alden elevated her status. “Super model.” It was enough to calm YayaDUB down. Alden then took YayaDUB to his surprise.
YayaDUB was then asked to close her eyes prior to showing her the weeksary surprise. It was their first weeksary date without the folks. The table is small enough to accommodate them and their meal. Of course it featured YayaDUB’s favorites – grilled chicken intestines and barbecue. Alden also gave her his gift – a watch. He gave her his watch too. An implication that she has all of his time especially at the ALDUB 18th Weeksary episode.
In between bites, Alden and YayaDUB exchanged DUBsmash tracks. Donya Tidora reminded her from where she sat with Lola Nidora. “Don’t sing when your mouth is full.” YayaDUB tried to behave then at the ALDUB 18th Weeksary episode. Alden then complimented YayaDUB’s singing skills at ALDUB The Who episode. “Gusto ko yung kinanta mo nung Tuesday. Alam mo supermodel ka talaga eh.” (I liked what you sang last Tuesday. I know you’re really a supermodel.) YayaDUB was proud of her posing skills. “Siempre naman.” (But of course.) She then posed for Alden. Lola Nidora reminded her. “Yaya, nanonood kami.” (Nanny, we’re watching.)
Alden then challenged her to a staring contest. Whoever blinks first gets a surprise at the ALDUB 18th Weeksary episode. Donya Tidora had a nice suggestion for the punishment. “Bubunutan ng buhok sa ilong.” (Get some nose hair pulled with tweezers.) Everyone found it a painful consequence. So it was ignored. YayaDUB blinked first. Alden then revealed the punishment. He asked for a kiss. Since the grannies reacted, he just asked YayaDUB for a Jaya song impersonation tidbit instead.
The ALDUB 18th Weeksary then moved forward to an exchange of jokes. Alden then asked YayaDUB. “Anong sabi ng truck driver sa bakang nasa gitna ng daan?” (What did the truck driver say to the cow in the middle of the road?) YayaDUB then asked. “Ano?” (What is it?) Alden replied. “E di beef beef.” (Beef beef.) It was painful. [Other jokes lose their humor once translated though. So we’d skip them.] Lola Nidora was on a verge not of laughter but a migraine attack. She then asked the KalyeSerye commentary panel to transition to the Sugod Bahay segment to wash off the pain.
Lights were later seen switched on at the ALDUB 18th Weeksary date. It allowed Alden and YayaDUB to talk without microphones and their folks looming over them. Lola Nidora saw YayaDUB wearing Alden’s watch. She told her to return it as she already had one. Alden then asked for a clarification from YayaDUB regarding what she said at ALDUB The Rivalry episode. “Uy hindi kita minumura ha?” (Hey I’m not cussing at you!) [The word “mura” has two definitions. Alden understood it as YayaDUB accusing her of cussing her.] YayaDUB elaborated her “mura” claim. “Because I don’t want to be cheap.”
Alden then asked her to dance. The red roses are back. FTW – Flowers With Waltz. Compared to the waltz they shared at ALDUB EB Tamang Panahon special episode. Alden and YayaDUB were already comfortable with each other. Lola Nidora then asked Donya Tidora. “Tidora, debut ba ngayon ni Yaya?” (Is it nanny’s debut?) Donya Tidora disagreed. “Hindi. sweet moments.” The waltz and the roses at the ALDUB 18th Weeksary reminded both the grannies and the KalyeSerye commentary panel of the 18 roses in a debut party. Alden and YayaDUB almost kissed too.
It was all fun until another car horn was heard honking outside the Broadway Centrum. It was Cindy in stalking mode. If those eyes don’t give you a hint of her stalking tendencies, look again. Lola Nidora got nervous. She ended up giving the Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio instructions in Russian gibberish. YayaDUB wasn’t scared. More like threatened at the presence of competition. She wouldn’t let anyone ruin the ALDUB 18th Weeksary date.
Alden held on to YayaDUB. YayaDUB’s insecurities got the better of her. “Alden, ano ba? Alden, bitawan mo ko. Alden, sandali.” (Alden, let go of me!) Alden then told YayaDUB. “Wag kang maniniwala sa iba. Sa akin lang ha?” (Don’t believe anyone else. Just me, okay?) Julia suggested that Cindy not be allowed in. “Wag papasukin!” (Don’t let her in!) Maybe they didn’t find Cindy alarming enough for a restraining order. For now.
Donya Tidora reminded YayaDUB. “Yaya, humanda ka, Yaya! Yaya, mag-retouch ka.” (Brace yourself. nanny. Nanny, get your makeup retouched.) Allan K speculated on Cindy’s mental health. “May sakit itong babaeng ito ano?” (This woman is sick, isn’t she?) She wasn’t so psycho. At least in the conventional soap opera sense. But she brings in the creeps. Just like in ALDUB The Rivalry episode. Cindy went on stage to ask the hosts and even the audience where Alden was. Allan K already gave them instructions not to blow Alden’s cover. And that cover is YayaDUB’s cloak. Later, YayaDUB removed her cloak to cover Alden behind her at the ALDUB 18th Weeksary episode.
Cindy found Alden’s lair where he prepared the date. She asked YayaDUB where Alden is. YayaDUB answered in Tagalog. “Wala dito, Umuwi na.” (He’s not here. He went home.) Cindy remembered Alden telling her that he’s at home sick. So she just threatened Alden. “Alden, I will call Lola Babah.” Alden got scared enough to come out of YayaDUB’s cloak. “NO!” Cindy is not only a psycho. She’s also a blackmailer. The ALDUB 18th Weeksary date is on the edge of getting ruined.
Unlike in the ALDUB Happy BDay Lola episode. Alden introduced YayaDUB simply as “Divina Ursula Bocbocoba Smash”. {I know there is a discrepancy as how “Bocbocoba” is spelled. But I didn’t think Divina’s last name is that native when she is raised by a Spanish-blooded granny.] YayaDUB found Cindy tall. So she went on top of a chair before extending her hand to Cindy. Cindy want none of the Tupperware party that YayaDUB went into.
Alden didn’t have a problem with YayaDUB’s height. So whenever she’s at the top of the chair. Alden would lift her down at the ALDUB 18th Weeksary episode. Cindy was so upset. She ranted in Russian. [The Russian model playing Cindy is really Russian. So maybe ALDUB’s fans in Russia at least knew what did she really say. Who knows if she’s uttering Russian profanities at Alden and YayaDUB?] Alden reiterated what he told Cindy before. “Cindy, sorry but she’s my only supermodel.” YayaDUB is mighty proud of hearing Alden say it to Cindy’s face. “You hear that? ME!” Cindy challenged YayaDUb again.
YayaDUB knew she lacked in height. So at the main stage, the KalyeSerye commentary panel allowed her to strut on their table. Alden would then lift her again to help her down to the floor. Lola Nidora’s voice got loud from where she sat. “Divina! Divina!” She then unleashed her frustration at Donya Tidora. “Yang apo mo, para-paraan ha? Nagpapakarga!” (Your grand-niece found a way! She enjoys the lifting!) It was YayaDUB’s way of declaring her territory over Alden at the ALDUB 18th Weeksary episode.
Alden’s phone then rang. It was Donya Babah. “Hello, Lola. Di po ba nagpaalam din po ako sa inyo di po ba? Kinakausap ko po, promise.”” (I told you about the date right? Yes I talk to Cindy.) That was rude of Donya Babah. She allowed Alden to go out on a date with YayaDUB. But she still sent Cindy to Alden. Cindy then told Alden the real reason why Donya Babah sent her. “Tell her [YayaDUB] we are engaged.” Alden was shocked to the core. “Hindi totoo yan! What are you talking about?” (That’s not true!)
YayaDUB then confronted Alden. “Is that true?” Alden kept saying no. Cindy rubbed salt on the would she caused in the ALDUB 18th Weeksary. She quoted a line from the song “Bahala Na” by Nadine Lustre and James Reid. “Naniniwala na ako forever.” (I now believe in forever.) YayaDUB was livid at how one ALDUB song was used by Cindy. “No forever between you and Alden!”
Alden begged Cindy to retract what she said. Cindy said no. YayaDUB was so upset. She cowered under the KalyeSerye commentary table and covered herself with a cloak. Too bad it wasn’t an invisibility cloak. Alden tried to comfort her. But Cindy pulled him away from her. Alden didn’t expect Cindy to be that strong. “Ang lakas!” (She’s too damn strong!) If she’s a psycho, a blackmailer and a wrestler, Alden is in trouble.
Lola Nidora was worried sick at the ALDUB 18th “Sinasaktan nila apo natin.” (They’re hurting our grand-child!) Donya Tidora was keenly observing Cindy. As if she’s checking for loopholes. Alden asked Cindy. “Why are you telling lies?” Cindy replied. “They’re not lies. It’s true. Lola Babah promised me.” It was enough to snap Lola Nidora. Lola Nidora was livid at Alden. “Di ko pinagkatiwala ang apo ko para saktan mo!” (I did not entrust my grand-child to you for you to hurt her!) If Cindy can do this to Alden, imagine what she can do to YayaDUB.
YayaDUB tried to walk away. But Alden caught up to her in time. He assured her. “Ikaw at ako. Tayong dalawa lang!” Cindy screamed and stomped her feet. “No!” The truck horn honked to signal the end of the ALDUB 18th Weeksary episode. Donya Tidora ended up recapping the episode in Tagalog and Russian gibberish. The revelation regarding the fixed marriage put the ALDUB 18th Weeksary ending on a bad note.

Boss Joey then asked Cindy her thoughts at the epilogue. Cindy simply said. “Nakakaloka!” (This is crazy!) She stormed off ranting in Russian. Julia then remembered the mic. Boss Joey then called on Cindy. “Hoy! Yung mic namin!” Allan K ranted at Cindy. “Nakadalawang mic ka na! Hoy babae!” (That’s the second mic you ran away with! You woman!)
