Short answer: Cashing in to Coins.ph through InstaPay, PESONet or a partner-bank direct transfer costs nothing on the Coins.ph side, while cashing out costs a flat ₱5 by InstaPay (up to ₱50,000 per transfer, arrives in minutes) or ₱0 by PESONet for individual accounts (arrives on a banking-day schedule). Avoid over-the-counter pickups if you can: Coins.ph charges ₱105 for amounts up to ₱10,000 and 1.6% above that, based on its help center pages we checked on October 25, 2026.
Many Filipinos open Coins.ph to buy crypto, then get stuck on the simple part: how do you put pesos in, and how do you get them back out to GCash or your bank without losing money to fees? This guide covers only the peso side of the app, meaning cash-ins, cash-outs, fees, processing times and account limits. If you want to buy crypto, read our beginner’s checklist for buying crypto safely first.
Is Coins.ph regulated by the BSP?
Yes. The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ own list of Virtual Asset Service Providers, dated July 15, 2026, names Betur Inc. (doing business as Coins.ph) as an active non-bank VASP. Coins.ph’s help center adds that Betur Inc. also holds BSP licenses for remittance and transfer, e-money issuance, and money changing/foreign exchange dealing and virtual currency exchange, and that a related company, DCPay Philippines Inc., is registered with the BSP as an electronic money issuer. You will see the DCPay name when you send money from GCash.
Being regulated is not the same as being risk-free. The peso balance is for payments and transfers. Anything you convert into crypto can lose value quickly.
How much does it cost to cash in to Coins.ph?
Here are the cash-in fees Coins.ph lists on its help center (checked October 25, 2026):
| Cash-in method | Coins.ph fee | Speed |
|---|---|---|
| InstaPay (from banks and e-wallets such as GCash) | ₱0 | Instant |
| PESONet (from banks) | ₱0 | Same business day if sent before 3 PM |
| Direct transfer from UnionBank, Security Bank or Sterling Bank (PHP) | ₱0 | Within hours |
| Remittance centers via Dragonpay (Cebuana Lhuillier, M Lhuillier, Palawan Pawnshop, Pera Hub, Villarica) | ₱25 per transaction | Usually instant |
One catch: “free” means Coins.ph does not charge you. Your sending bank or e-wallet may still charge its own InstaPay or PESONet fee. At remittance counters, the ₱25 Dragonpay fee is added to the amount you pay, not deducted from your wallet.
How do you cash in from GCash to Coins.ph?
Coins.ph says GCash cash-ins go through InstaPay, with a minimum of ₱15 and a maximum of ₱50,000 per transaction, and usually arrive in less than 10 minutes.
- Open GCash and tap Transfer, then choose a local bank transfer.
- Pick DCPay Philippines, Inc. (Coins.ph) from the list.
- For the account number, type the mobile number linked to your Coins.ph account.
- Enter the amount, check the details and send.
Before you start, make sure your Coins.ph account is ID-and-selfie verified and has a verified phone number. Coins.ph lists an unverified account and a wrong mobile number among the common reasons a transfer fails.
What is the cheapest way to cash out from Coins.ph?
For most people, it is PESONet if you can wait, and InstaPay if you need the money now. The fees Coins.ph lists (checked October 25, 2026):
| Cash-out method | Coins.ph fee | Speed and limits |
|---|---|---|
| InstaPay (banks and e-wallets, including GCash and Maya) | ₱5 flat | Real time, 24/7; ₱1 to ₱50,000 per transaction |
| PESONet (banks) | ₱0 for individuals (₱5 for corporate accounts) | Batch, banking days only; no system-wide maximum, but your account limits apply |
| Cebuana Lhuillier cash pickup | ₱105 up to ₱10,000; 1.6% above ₱10,000 | Within minutes at most outlets; minimum ₱1,000 |
| Other pickup outlets (M Lhuillier, Palawan, LBC, Pera Hub and others) | Outlet fee shown before you confirm | Palawan pickups follow a daily batch, not instant |
To see what this means in pesos: moving ₱20,000 to your bank costs ₱5 by InstaPay or ₱0 by PESONet, but a ₱20,000 Cebuana pickup would cost 1.6%, or ₱320. Even an ₱8,000 pickup costs ₱105, which is 21 InstaPay transfers’ worth of fees.
How long does a PESONet cash-out take?
PESONet runs in batches on banking days, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Coins.ph gives this schedule:
- Requested on or before 9:00 AM: credited by 2:00 PM the same banking day.
- 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon: credited by 6:00 PM the same banking day.
- 12:00 noon to 3:00 PM: credited by 11:59 PM the same banking day.
- After 3:00 PM, on weekends or on holidays: credited by 2:00 PM the next banking day.
With Undas and Bonifacio Day coming, plan big PESONet withdrawals around the long weekends. Our November 2026 holiday guide lists the dates.
How do you cash out to GCash or a bank, step by step?
- Open the Coins.ph app and go to the Portfolio tab.
- Tap Withdraw, then Cash Out.
- Search for your bank or e-wallet (for GCash, look under E-Wallets).
- Choose InstaPay (₱5, fast) or PESONet (free for individuals, slower).
- Enter the amount, the account holder name and the account number. Names should match the receiving account exactly.
- Review the fee on the confirmation screen, then finish the security check (OTP or MFA).
Your peso balance has to cover both the amount and the fee. Keep the reference number until the money lands.
What are the Coins.ph limits in 2026?
Limits depend on how far you have verified your account. These are the figures on Coins.ph’s verification and limits page (checked October 25, 2026):
| Level | Cash-in (daily / monthly) | Withdrawal (daily / monthly) |
|---|---|---|
| Basic (personal info only) | ₱10,000 / ₱100,000 | ₱0 (no standard withdrawals) |
| Identity Verified (ID and selfie) | ₱1,000,000 / ₱30,000,000 | ₱1,000,000 / ₱30,000,000 |
| Enhanced (proof of source of income) | ₱3,000,000 / ₱90,000,000 | ₱3,000,000 / ₱90,000,000 |
Basic accounts can still pay bills, buy load and pay QR Ph merchants up to ₱10,000 a day and ₱100,000 a month. Coins.ph also says that buying load, paying bills, buying game credits and converting between pesos and crypto inside the app do not count toward your limits. Sending money to another Coins.ph user is capped at ₱20,000 per transaction, and verified accounts can do up to ₱100,000 of these transfers a day.
What should you watch out for?
- Do not treat your wallet as savings. A wallet is built for spending and transfers. Keep emergency money in a separate savings account; our emergency fund guide explains how much and where.
- Crypto is a separate, riskier decision. Buying crypto in the app is easy, but prices can swing hard and you can lose part or all of your money. Nobody can guarantee a return.
- Scams target cash-ins. If a stranger, a “trading mentor” or a job post asks you to cash in and send funds for a promised payout, stop. Never share your password or one-time PIN with anyone.
- Check the status page. If a cash-in or cash-out is late, Coins.ph points users to its status page and in-app support before anything else.

Why can’t I cash out from Coins.ph?

Can I cash out more than ₱50,000 at once?
Not by InstaPay, which is capped at ₱50,000 per transaction. PESONet has no system-wide maximum, though your daily account limit and the receiving bank’s limits still apply.
