Rates checked on 2026-10-17. Tonik still pays the highest no-mission rate on our list at 4.00% p.a. on its Solo Stash (4.50% for a Group Stash with the owner plus at least two participants), while MariBank pays 3.25% with interest credited daily and GoTyme and Maya pay a 3.00% base. Maya can boost up to 15% p.a. if you meet its conditions, but the bonus only applies to the first ₱100,000 of your balance, so the best digital bank depends on how you save.
If your savings are sitting in a traditional savings account, they are probably earning very little. Digital banks in the Philippines pay noticeably higher interest, often credited daily, with no maintaining balance. But headline “up to” rates can mislead: some need missions, some apply only to part of your balance, and some are temporary promos.
We re-checked the official websites of five popular digital banks on October 17, 2026. None of the five changed its base rate since our October 9 check. Here is what each one pays and what you must do to earn it.
Which digital bank pays the highest interest right now?

| Tonik Solo Stash | 4.00% | No missions. Group Stash pays 4.50% if the owner plus at least 2 participants join. | 2026-10-17 |

| GoTyme GoalSave | 3.00% | No missions, no limits; up to 5 GoalSaves | 2026-10-17 |
| Maya Savings | 3.00% | Boosts from 5% up to 15% p.a. by meeting spend or product conditions; bonus applies to a balance of up to ₱100,000 | 2026-10-17 |
| CIMB GSave / UpSave | 2.30% | Earn More promo adds up to 1.85% p.a. on the first ₱100,000 of average-daily-balance growth; promo ends October 31, 2026 | 2026-10-17 |
Rates change often, sometimes on short notice. Always check the official site before moving your money.
How do the five digital banks compare, bank by bank?
Tonik: highest no-mission rate on our list
Tonik’s deposit rates page lists 1.00% p.a. for the regular Tonik Account, 4.00% for Solo Stash and 4.00% for Group Stash, rising to 4.50% when the owner plus at least two participants are in the stash. Its time deposits, effective August 24, 2026, pay 4% p.a. for 6 months and 3.50% p.a. for 9 to 24 months, plus a conditional extra 1% p.a. paid at maturity only if you keep at least ₱10,000 average daily balance in your Tonik savings account every month of the term. Interest is subject to 20% withholding tax.
Good for: savers who want a straightforward higher rate and are happy to keep goal-based stashes separate from spending money.
MariBank: simple, no maintaining balance, Shopee-friendly
MariBank pays 3.25% p.a. on balances from ₱0 to ₱1,000,000; only the portion above ₱1,000,000 earns 3.75% p.a. Interest is credited daily based on the previous day’s balance, subject to 20% withholding tax. MariBank says there are no account fees, no maintaining balance and no lock-in, transfers out via InstaPay and PESONet are free and unlimited, and you can move funds from ShopeePay to MariBank for free. MariBank states it is regulated by the BSP and that deposits are insured by PDIC up to ₱1 million per depositor.
Good for: people who want set-and-forget daily interest with no missions, especially Shopee and ShopeePay users.
GoTyme: flat 3% with no strings
GoTyme describes GoalSave as a savings feature with a 3.0% annual interest rate, “no missions, no limits,” and lets you open up to five GoalSaves. Its help centre says interest is paid on the 1st of each month and is subject to 20% withholding tax; if you withdraw before the monthly payout, you receive the interest earned to date.
Good for: beginners who want a simple flat rate with no conditions.
Maya: highest headline rate, but read the conditions
Maya’s base Savings rate is 3% p.a., credited daily, and applies to your whole balance. Existing users can step up to 5%, 6%, 7%, 8%, 10% or 12% p.a. by hitting spend targets such as ₱250 in bills or QR payments (5%) or ₱35,000 in qualifying payments (12%); 13% and 15% are for select users who are approved for certain Maya loans or credit cards or enrol in Maya Payroll. For new users, Maya advertises 15% p.a. after a ₱1,000 deposit; see its full mechanics for the duration. Maya states that bonus interest applies to a deposit balance of up to ₱100,000, and that accounts with no deposit or withdrawal for two years earn no interest.
Good for: active Maya users who already pay bills and shop in the app and will actually meet the targets.
CIMB: base rate plus a balance-growth promo ending October 31
CIMB lists a 2.30% p.a. base rate for GSave and UpSave with no balance cap. Its Earn More promo, extended until October 31, 2026, adds +0.25% for ₱1,000 of average daily balance growth, +0.50% for ₱5,000 and +1.10% for ₱20,000, up to 1.85% p.a. on top of the base. The extra interest applies only to the first ₱100,000 of monthly balance growth, and growth must come from your own cash-ins via InstaPay, PESONet or GCash. After October 31, check whether CIMB extends the promo again.
Good for: GCash users already linked to GSave who add to their savings every month.
How do you choose the right digital bank?
- Will I really do the missions? A 15% rate you never qualify for is worth less than a 4% rate you get automatically.
- How much am I saving? Maya’s bonus and CIMB’s promo stop at ₱100,000. Above that, the base rate decides your earnings.
- How fast do I need the money? Savings accounts and stashes let you withdraw anytime, which makes them a good home for your emergency fund. Time deposits pay more but lock your money in.
- Is it convenient? Free transfers, links to e-wallets you already use and easy cash-out matter as much as a fraction of a percent.
What applies to every digital bank account?
- 20% withholding tax. Interest on peso savings is subject to 20% final withholding tax, so you keep 80% of the stated rate.
- PDIC insurance. PDIC insures deposits up to ₱1,000,000 per depositor per bank. If you have more, consider spreading it across banks.
- Rates can change. Several of these banks changed rates during 2026. Check the official page every few months.
- Protect your account. Never share OTPs or log-in details. Banks will not ask for them by text, call or chat.
So which digital bank is best in October 2026?
On base rate alone, Tonik’s stashes lead this list as of October 17, 2026. For no-fuss daily interest and free ShopeePay transfers, MariBank is a solid everyday choice, and its 3.25% is above the 3.00% base at GoTyme and Maya. Maya can pay far more on your first ₱100,000 if you consistently meet its targets, and CIMB’s promo helps people who add savings monthly, at least until October 31. Many Filipinos use two accounts: one for daily spending and one high-interest account for emergency funds.
