What is the best budget phone under ₱11,000 in the Philippines?
For most buyers, the Redmi 15C 5G: it pairs 5G with the most storage on this list for the money. The TECNO SPARK 50 5G is the one to get if battery life and charging speed come first. If you do not need 5G, the Infinix HOT 70 gives you 6GB of RAM, faster storage and an IP65 rating for less. Pick based on what matters most to you.
Here is what we checked:
- RAM and storage. 4GB RAM is the floor. Get 6GB or more if you game or keep many apps open. Aim for 128GB storage or more.
- Battery and charging. Every pick has 5,200–6,500mAh. Charging ranges from a slow 10–15W to a much faster 33–45W.
- Display. All six use HD+ LCD screens at 90–120Hz, which makes scrolling smoother.
- 5G or 4G. We say plainly which phones are 4G only.
- Where you buy. The brand’s official store on Shopee Mall only.
Last checked: October 30, 2026.
How much RAM and storage do you need?
For Facebook, Messenger, GCash and YouTube, 4GB RAM still works in 2026, but it fills up fast. If you play Mobile Legends or keep a dozen apps open, 6GB or more feels noticeably smoother. “Extended” or “virtual” RAM, which several brands advertise, borrows from storage and is not the same as real RAM. Check the physical number.
Storage matters more than people expect. Photos, videos and chat apps eat space quickly, so 64GB runs out fast. Choose 128GB or more if you can, or check that the phone has a microSD slot.
Why are budget phones pricier this year? A global memory chip shortage. IDC reports that memory makers shifted production toward AI data centers, pushing up DRAM and storage costs. It expects low-end phone makers to pass much of that cost to buyers.
Do you need 5G in a budget phone?
Not necessarily. 5G coverage in the Philippines still varies by area, so check your network’s coverage map first. If you live and work in a covered area and plan to keep the phone for three years or more, 5G is a reasonable bet. Otherwise, a 4G phone with a bigger battery or faster charging may serve you better.
On this list, the Redmi 15C 5G and TECNO SPARK 50 5G support 5G. The Infinix HOT 70, POCO C81 Pro, realme Note 80 and Infinix SMART 20 are 4G only.
