What is the best air fryer in the Philippines under ₱5,000?
It depends on how many you feed. A 6L basket like the Imarflex fits a family of four’s fried chicken or liempo in one go. Bigger families, or anyone who wants to roast a whole chicken, should look at the 7L-plus Kyowa and Hanabishi models. The 5L Hanabishi HAFRYER50DIG is the smallest pick here and suits two to four people.
Here is what we checked before picking anything:
- Capacity. 3–4L for 1–2 people, 5–6L for a family of four, 7L and up for big batches or a whole chicken.
- Wattage. Most full-size units run at 1,300–1,800W. That is a lot for one outlet, so do not plug it into the same outlet or extension as your rice cooker.
- Basket and cleaning. A non-stick, removable basket is easier to wash. Check the manual before putting anything in the dishwasher.
- Temperature range and timer. Around 200°C at the top end and a timer of at least 30 minutes covers most ulam.
- Window, presets or knobs. A viewing window lets you check food without opening the basket. Digital presets are convenient; knobs are simpler and have fewer parts to fail.
- Warranty and service. Buy from the official store or Shopee Mall so the brand warranty applies, and check where the nearest service center is.
What size air fryer do you need?
Think in servings, not liters. A 3–4L basket is enough for fries or a few pieces of chicken for one or two people. A 5L basket handles a small family’s ulam. At 6–7.7L, you can cook for four to six without doing two rounds, which matters on busy weeknights.
Bigger is not always better, though. A large unit eats counter space and heats more air than small portions need, so measure your kitchen first.
How much electricity does an air fryer use?
Less than you might fear, because it runs for minutes, not hours. A 1,500W air fryer running for 20 minutes uses about 0.5 kWh. At Meralco’s October 2026 rate of about ₱15.06 per kWh for a typical household, that is around ₱7.53 of electricity per cooking session. Your actual cost depends on your utility and how long you cook.
The bigger issue is load. A 1,500–1,800W air fryer and a rice cooker on the same extension cord can trip a breaker or overheat the cord. Give each its own wall outlet. If you are shopping for both, our best rice cookers under ₱3,000 guide covers the other half of the kitchen.
Which air fryers made our list?
Specs come from each brand’s official page and were checked against a second listing from an established Philippine appliance retailer on October 30, 2026. Prices are what each Shopee Mall listing showed on October 30, 2026, before vouchers and shipping.

2. Hanabishi HAFRYER50DIG (5L digital): best mid-size digital pick

- 5.0L capacity, 1,500W, 230V
- 8 cooking presets
- Non-stick pot
- 250 x 350 x 330mm
Drawback: Hanabishi’s own page does not list the temperature range or maximum timer. Appliance retailer Addessa lists up to 200°C, but check the manual or listing before buying.

3. Kyowa KW-3820 (7.7L manual): best value and best big-batch pick

- 7.7L capacity, 1,800W
- 80–200°C temperature range
- See-through window
- 360° rapid air circulation
Drawback: At 1,800W it draws the most power on this list, so it needs its own outlet. It is also manual, with no presets.

- 7.0L capacity, 1,700W
- Digital LED display with 10 presets
- Residue collector
- 360° air circulation
Drawback: Kyowa’s own site lists it at the very top of this budget, so it is only a bargain at Shopee Mall’s lower price. Compare before checkout. It is also the heaviest Kyowa here, at 6.32kg.
Price: about ₱3,700 on Shopee Mall, checked Oct 30, 2026
Shop: Kyowa KW-3834 on Shopee Mall
5. Hanabishi HAFRYER70 (7L): simple big-basket pick

- 1–30 minute timer
- Frying basket 240 x 250 x 140mm, unit 380 x 325 x 385mm
Drawback: A 30-minute timer is short for a 7L basket, so a whole chicken may need a second round. Hanabishi’s own page does not list the wattage; retailer Fair N Square lists 1,700W.
Price: about ₱4,055 on Shopee Mall, checked Oct 30, 2026
Shop: Hanabishi HAFRYER70 on Shopee Mall
Left out: We also looked at the Hanabishi HAFRYER32 (3.2L) and the Xiaomi Smart Air Fryer 4.5L. On October 30, 2026, we could not find either in an official Shopee Mall store, so neither made the list.

Should you buy an air fryer during 11.11?
Yes, if you have already picked a size. Air fryers are easy to compare by liters and watts, which makes them a safe sale buy. The traps are fake “original price” markdowns and lookalike units from unofficial sellers. Stick to the brand’s official store or Shopee Mall, compare the model number with the brand page, and check that the listing mentions the warranty.
Stack what you can: platform vouchers, shop vouchers and Shopee Coins. Per Shopee’s help center, Coins can cover up to 25% of your checkout total, with daily and 7-day caps. Read the current rules before checkout, since limits can change. Our 11.11 sale guide has the dates and voucher rules in one place.

Frequently asked questions
What size air fryer is best for a family of 4?
A 5–6L air fryer is the best fit for a family of four. It cooks a full ulam in one batch. Go 7L or bigger if you want to roast a whole chicken.
Is a cheap air fryer worth it?
It can be, if it comes from a brand with a Philippine warranty and service center. Smaller, simpler models have fewer parts to break. Check the capacity, basket coating and warranty, not just the price.
Does an air fryer use a lot of electricity in the Philippines?
Not much per use. A 1,500W air fryer running for 20 minutes uses about 0.5 kWh, or around ₱7.53 at Meralco’s October 2026 typical-household rate. Do not share its outlet with a rice cooker.
Air fryer vs oven toaster: which should I buy?
Get an air fryer if you mostly cook fried-style food like chicken, fries and liempo with less oil. Get an oven toaster if you mostly toast bread and reheat. Many households end up using the air fryer more.
When is the best time to buy an air fryer on Shopee?
During a big campaign like 11.11, which runs from November 1 to November 12, 2026. Buy from the official store or Shopee Mall and stack vouchers and Coins where the rules allow.
