#YayaDUB is back. One half of the phenomenal love team #ALDUB is back. Everyone got so worried with her after the lines between reel and real were blurred last Saturday, August 8, 2015. With so many fans shipping to the #ALDUB wagon, the hit #KalyeSerye has shown no signs of stopping. Now that YayaDUB is back. Everyone awaits the fate of noontime program’s most unique segment ever.
The KalyeSerye opens with Lola Nidora reduced to riding a motorcycle. She would usually arrive by a van or some luxury vehicle in the past. But the cancelled YaKie wedding really exposed how low she had gotten. She can’t even provide Rogelio 5 (minus 1) each of their own motorbikes. She then had a little chat with fellow dabarkads (jargon for Eat Bulaga host), Paolo Ballesteros. They discussed the acid attack that occurred last Monday, August 10, 2015.
And YayaDUB is back just in time for the conversation to switch to her. She arrived to the tune of Big Bang’s Fantastic Baby. Now that YayaDUB is back. Lola Nidora asks her, “Good to see you’re in good condition now. Okay ka na ba?” (Are you okay now?) YayaDUB replies in a way she knew best. Through beat box dubsmash. Lola Nidora is one of the few people that can interpret her. Lola said “Okay na daw siya, wag lang daw siyang malalapit sa mga pangit” (She said she’s okay as long as she stays away from anyone ugly).
“Oh lumayo ka kay Lola,” chides Paolo to YayaDUB. YayaDUB is back and Lola Nidora missed YayaDUB’s pabebe wave. And the pabebe girls’ Dubsmash segment where Lola Nidora would stick out her tongue because she has problems (?) following the dubbing procedure. YayaDUB is back and only too happy to oblige. She immediate switches to pabebe girl mode and blurt out. “Hi! Kami ang pabebe girls. At wala kayong paki kung pabebe kami sa mga video namin!” (Hi! We are the pabebe girls. And it’s none of your business if we are “pabebe” on our videos!) Lola Nidora dubs her part and goes “At wala kayong karapatan dahil nanonood lang kayo!” (And you have no right because you’re just watching!)
YayaDUB is back including the appropriate facial expressions for the rest of the pabebe girls part. “Buhay namin ito! Walang makakapigil sa ‘min!” (This is our life! Nothing can stop us!) Those quote could also serve as an analogy to the trials and tribulations that the ALDUB couple has gone through. Can anybody or anyone really stop this couple? How can you stop a couple from finally meeting in the flesh?
YayaDUB then wrote a sign that says “Wer na u? Dito na me”. (Where are you? I’m here) Now that YayaDUB is back, Lola Nidora found it appropriate to inform her of what happened to Alden. Lola Nidora told YayaDUB that the wedding should push through. And Frankie splashed acid on Alden’s face so that he would end up looking uglier (?) than Frankie. Lola Nidora told YayaDUB that Alden now lives with a pock-marked face. YayaDUB is devastated.
The song “God Gave Me You” plays in the background to the excitement of the audience. Camera then shifts to someone identified as Alden. Maybe because the music showed a man with his back turned to the camera.
YayaDUB is back and too happy to contain herself, whatever Alden may have looked like after the acid attack. Lola Nidora tried to persuade her from looking at Alden’s face. She was expecting his face to be destroyed. To be at least looking worse than Frankie who occasionally shifts to Chuckie doll mode of the film “Child’s Play”. But nothing could persuade YayaDUB from looking away. She wasn’t around during the acid attack. She (and the rest of the nation perhaps) awaited this man to turn around to confirm his identity.
Lo and behold! It turned out that he’s A-okay. Still looking fresh like morning dew and more attractive than ever. Even high definition television can display how Alden managed to keep his face intact. YayaDUB is back and so is her expressive face. You can only imagine the several animated images that a face like YayaDUB can generate.
Lola Nidora on the other hand was dumbfounded. As happy as she is that YayaDUB is back. She is disappointed to discovered that her plans were foiled. They then checked the little container that allegedly contained the acid intended to destroy Alden’s flawless face.
It was Brand X. And it is common knowledge in endless barrage of commercials how Brand X often fails to do the job. (Then again, don’t expect branded acid to be used even just for a mention) Paolo was holding the little bottle with a X mark clearly written. It was just some post-it type of covering where X hits the spot. They peeled away the X-marked sticker to see what got splashed on Alden’s face. The sign revealed says “pangmumog”. Instead of acid, it was mouthwash that got splashed. Lola Nidora blamed her Rogelio goons. They got the wrong bottle because they were wearing shades. Alden on the other hand, is only too happy that YayaDUB is back.
This shifts to an exchange of Dubsmash clips and signboards. YayaDUB is back. Alden immediately wrote “Good luck bukas ah!” on the bond paper he held at that time. The cute exchange made everyone feel good about ALDUB all over again.
Of course, Lola Nidora made sure to rain on the ALDUB parade. The anticipation for the ALDUB “eyeball” is at fever pitch. Everyone is now speculating on what that diary really meant to Lola Nidora. She’s willing to throw YayaDUB under the bus (figuratively) just so she can keep it. Allegedly it’s the one thing that keeps her jittery. For a price of fifty one million five hundred (Lola Nidora’s words).
She is willing to let Alden have YayaDUB though. For a price of fifty one million five hundred (Lola Nidora’s words). So many have joined the ALDUB bandwagon that some just don’t get why Lola Nidora won’t let the couple be. So let this serve as a short orientation. Since Alden could not provide that amount, it caused her to have YayaDUB arranged in marriage with Frankie. Because after Frankie marries, he would get his inheritance. And he can provide the bridal dowry that Lola Nidora demanded.
Would today be the “tamang panahon” (right time) for ALDUB to finally meet? YayaDUB is participating in the #DabarkadsPaMore segment right in the Eat Bulaga studio. YayaDUB is back and is expected on her first ever studio appearance on Eat Bulaga. Will she finally meet Alden in the flesh?
