USWAG, Pinas! Special Edition highlights the mass vaccination program in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), particularly in Cotabato City where mobile vaccination is brought to its residents who are bedridden or have difficulties going to the vaccination sites due to their medical and physical conditions.
Today’s episode also features the inoculation of government employees from the National Printing Office (NPO) and Philippine Information Agency (PIA) as they belong to the essential workers in the A4 Priority Group. The two (2) offices are attached agencies of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO).
Derived from the Bisayan term ‘uswag’ which means progress, this special edition of the social media program aims to inform viewers about the ongoing vaccination in different communities across the nation, the tireless efforts of healthcare workers and medical frontliners in battling the virus, and interviews from inoculated Filipinos and medical experts on the benefits of getting the jab to further boost vaccine confidence amongst the people.
