28. Ultimately what FIBA or any other sporting committee is looking for is the ability of the host country to provide adequate security, logistical support, venues and also most importantly adequate infrastructure to transport the visiting fans efficiently.. Which what Philippines greatly lacks.

    Notice all the other nation who bid, they all had efficient public transport system. The winning bid (China) has an extensive high speed rail network that works with air travel. They are more capable in efficient mass transit than The Philippines.

    Philippines have to invest in infrastructure because it's a liability economically and would make it for people to commute and travel… Also can be beneficial for Philippines's portfolio when bidding in big international games like FIBA.

36. Love for basketball is not enough. How would someone love to go to a game wherein an airport is considered worse, traffic is like hell, and if it is not enough infrastructure, there an old facility. How can you persuade international games to be held in the Philippines just like that? HELLO, IT IS MADE NOT ONLY FOR THE LOVE OF BASKETBALL, IT GOES THE SAME AS BUSINESS!
