President Rodrigo Roa Duterte convenes his Cabinet members and other government officials involved in addressing the current public health crisis brought by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in a meeting to discuss the government’s latest response to the pandemic and other matters of national concern.
With the National Capital Region (NCR) and the adjacent provinces of Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna and Rizal placed under an Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) from March 29 to April 4, 2021 due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, President Duterte vows to provide assistance to families and individuals affected by the new quarantine measures.
Likewise, the Chief Executive reassures the Filipino people that the government will continue to vaccinate the remaining population of healthcare workers and medical frontliners with the arrival today of one (1) million doses of CoronaVac vaccines procured by the Philippine Government from Sinovac Biotech Ltd.
As the nation continues to fight the detrimental effects of COVID-19, President Duterte urges his countrymen to strictly adhere to the Minimum Public Health Standards (MPHS).
