President Rodrigo Roa Duterte reminds the Filipino people anew on the importance of following stricter health and safety protocols to combat the impacts of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) as cases continue to rise in the country.
In his second Talk to the People on COVID-19 this week, President Duterte calls on the public to continue cooperating and do their part in stopping the spread of the deadly virus, now that more variants of COVID-19 are present within the National Capital Region (NCR). He asks all Filipinos to exercise the necessary precautions and avoid all non-essential travels in order to bring the daily cases to a more manageable level.
The Chief Executive reassures his countrymen that more batches of vaccines from different pharmaceutical brands shall be arriving in the coming months. He also gives a stern warning to public officials and personalities who have already been vaccinated, reiterating that health care workers and medical frontliners remain to be the top priority list in the inoculation until a sufficient supply of COVID-19 vaccines have been secured.
