President Rodrigo Roa Duterte received the credentials of five (5) Resident Ambassadors-Designate from the European Union (EU), Federative Republic of Brazil, Republic of Korea, French Republic and Republic of Colombia in a ceremony at the Reception Hall in Malacañan Palace.
In his remarks delivered after the acceptance of each letter of credence, President Duterte cited specific areas of cooperation that the Philippines and the Ambassadors’ respective nations can either establish or promote while further strengthening bilateral relations.
The Chief Executive warmly welcomed the foreign diplomats and conveyed his wishes for a fruitful, fulfilling and successful ‘tour of duty’ throughout their stay in the Philippines.
