Former President Benigno Aquino III has passed away. Noynoy was brought to Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City on June 24 and died at the age of 61.
In a statement made by his sister Pinky Aquino-Abellada on Thursday afternoon at Heritage Park, he died peacefully in his sleep and was pronounced dead at 6:30 a.m. due to renal disease secondary to diabetes.
