President Rodrigo Roa Duterte gives his directives after presiding over the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) meeting where they discussed the measures being implemented to mitigate the effects of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and other updates following the shift of community quarantine levels in various provinces across the country that started on May 16, 2020.
With the modification of quarantine restrictions, President Duterte calls on his ‘kababayans’ to still take caution and practice social distancing and other necessary measures to avoid contracting the virus. He also asks for continued cooperation in following government guidelines and safety protocols as the country continues to address the pandemic.
