Meeting with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID)

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte headed a meeting with the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) at the MALAGO Clubhouse in Malacañang Park, Manila.
The President earlier imposed various measures to help curb the spread of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) in the country. These included the signing of Proclamation Number 929 on 16 March 2020 declaring a ‘State of Calamity’ throughout the Philippines for a period of six (6) months and an ‘Enhanced Community Quarantine’ in the entirety of Luzon effective 17 March 2020 at midnight up until 12 April 2020. These impositions may be “lifted or extended as circumstances may warrant.”
