President Rodrigo Roa Duterte issues anew the community quarantine status in the country for the month of October, particularly in the National Capital Region (NCR) and nearby cities and provinces, as he convenes his Cabinet to discuss the latest efforts and developments in the government’s response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
With the impending opening of classes, President Duterte calls on the telecommunication companies to improve network connectivity services, especially on measures that would ease internet woes as the country’s education system shifts to online classes and distance learning being the new normal amid the global health crisis.
The President assures the public that the administration is working non-stop to prevent the effects of COVID-19 in the country. He calls on his kababayans to remain vigilant and cooperative, as well as to strictly follow all safety protocols set by the authorities, to put an end to the spread of the deadly virus across the nation.
