President Rodrigo Roa Duterte presides the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) meeting with several Cabinet members where he emphasizes that the welfare and safety of the Filipino people remain the top priority of the government amid the extended ‘enhanced community quarantine’ in Luzon due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The President asks for continued cooperation, patience and solidarity from his ‘kababayans’ as the nation addresses the COVID-19 pandemic. Likewise, he reiterates his directives to all government agencies to carry out the necessary measures that shall ensure the well being of every Filipino.
