President Rodrigo Roa Duterte leads the commemoration of the 2nd anniversary of the establishment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) at the Rizal Hall in Malacañan Palace on January 21, 2021.
The Bangsamoro Region was established in 2019 after two (2) plebiscites, replacing the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) in the hopes of bringing lasting peace and security in the region and the Bangsamoro people.
Among the highlights of the event is the ceremonial turnover of the 1st Report of the Intergovernmental Relations Body (IGRB) and its accomplishments.
Present during the ceremony are BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim, Minister Mohagher Iqbal (BARMM Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education) and Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Carlos Dominguez III.
