Ending the ANSERA saga through the ALDUB You Goodbye episode recap was one episode that was tough for me to write. I have to admit that now. I fell in love with this period-serye because it’s the kind of drama I don’t see on primetime anymore. It was as if the only period worth making a series was the Spanish era. But I digress. Now I have to close this saga by writing the ALDUB You Goodbye episode recap. It’s the part of the KalyeSerye where I have to move on.
Donya Tinidora was with Lola Nidora at Alden’s den at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. She’s fed up with Lola Nidora’s sad mood. “Malungkot ka na naman. Bubugbugin na kita. Yung diary na naman ba ang iniisip mo?” (You’re sad again. I’m going to beat you silly. You’re thinking about the diary again?) Lola Nidora nods. Donya Tinidora thought of going straight to business. “Mabuti pa, ituloy mo na lang ang kwento para magkaroon naman ng closure.” (You should continue the story for the sake of closure.)
It took awhile for Lola Nidora to be convinced on reopening the diary. “Sige na nga. Eto na nga o.” (Okay, fine. Here we go.) Donya Tinidora suddenly realized how underdressed she is for the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Tsitsinelasin kita. Nakatsinelas pala ako.” (I’m going to hit you with my flip flops. So I was wearing flip flops after all.) Lola Nidora then began. “Dear Diary. Matapos naming magkasundo ni Mama, agad kong pinuntahan si Anselmo.” (After an agreement with Mama, I immediately went to Anselmo.)
Anselmo woke up in time to see Nidora. “Nidora.” Nidora carried a basket of fruits. She helped Anselmo sit up. “Dahan dahan.” (Careful.) Anselmo then saw how forlorn Nidora was at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Kumusta ka? Bakit namumugto ang iyong mata, mahal ko? May problema ba?” (How are you? How come your eyes are watery? Any problem?) Nidora dismissed Anselmo’s observations. “Wala ito, Anselmo. Kumain ka. Nagdala ako ng prutas para sa iyo.” (Don’t mind me, Anselmo. Just eat. I brought you fruits.)
Anselmo replied. “Salamat.” (Thanks.) It was then Nidora’s turn to ask Anselmo at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Okay ka lang ba?” (Are you alright?) Anselmo tried to dispel Nidora’s worries. “Wag kang mag-alala. Lalabanan ko itong sakit ko para sa magiging anak natin.” (Don’t worry. I will fight this disease for our future baby.) Nidora replied. “Hindi na kailangan, Anselmo. Ang importante, malakas ka. Sundin mo lahat ng bilin sa yo ng doctor. Lahat lahat ng kailangan mong gawin. Lahat ng inutos sa yo, gawin mo ha?” (No need, Anselmo. What’s important for you is to regain your strength. Follow all of the doctor’s instructions. Everything that you needed to do. Do everything that you’re told.)
Anselmo found Nidora’s tone odd. “Nidora, bakit ka ba nagkakaganyan? Makakasama natin ang ating anak. Malalampasan ko rin ito. Gusto kong makita ang ating anak. Gusto kong lumaki siya na masaya.” (Why are you talking like that? We will be with our baby. I will get over this. I want to see our baby. I want the baby to grow up happy.)
Nidora tried to sound as if she’s okay at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Ang kailangan mong gawin ngayon, Anselmo, magpagaling ka. Wag mo na kong masyadong alalahanin. Yun ang kailangan mong gawin. Basta lahat ng bilin ng doctor, gagawin mo. Basta ipangako mo sa akin na lalaban ka ha? Kahit anong mangyari, magpalakas ka para sa akin, Anselmo, ha?” (What you need to do now is to get well. Don’t mind me that much. That’s all you need to do. Just follow the doctor’s instructions. Promise me that you will fight, okay? Whatever happens, be strong for me, okay?)
Anselmo had to tell Nidora the guilty feelings he harbored at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode.“Nidora, gusto ko sanang humingi ng tawad sa yo. Kundi dahil sa akin, hindi kayo magkakaroon ng hidwaan ng iyong ina. Hayaan mo. Pag nakalabas ako dito. Pag gumaling ako, magsisikap ako, Nidora. Para maibigay ko sa yo ang buhay na ibinibigay sa yo ng iyong ina.” (I would like to ask your forgiveness. If not for me, you will not get into a rift with your mother. Don’t worry. Once I get out of here, I will strive, Nidora. So that I can give you the life that your mother can give you.)
Nidora somewhat repeated herself in trying to pacify Anselmo. “Anselmo, hindi na kailangan. Wag mo nang alalahanin yun.” (No need. Don’t worry about that.) Anselmo looked disturbed at hearing Nidora’s tone. She insisted that Anselmo listen to the doctor. But he just stared at Nidora at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. Nidora then tried to put Anselmo to sleep. “Pahinga ka na, Anselmo.” (Take a rest, Anselmo.)
Anselmo can’t help but comment this time at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode regarding Nidora’s odd behavior. “Hindi ko maintindihan.” (I don’t understand.) Nidora tried to quell Anselmo’s worries. “Wag ka nang magalala, Anselmo. Gusto mo kantahan na lang kita. Kantahan na lang kita, Anselmo. Para makapagpahinga ka na.” (Don’t worry, Anselmo. You want me to sing for you instead. I will just sing for you. That you may rest.)
Nidora helped Anselmo back to sleep. It was easy for her knowing that Anselmo hasn’t totally recovered. “Anselmo, mahal na mahal kita. Magpagaling ka ha? Tulog ka na, Anselmo.” (I love you very much. Get well, okay? Go to sleep.) Nidora kissed Anselmo on the forehead. She doesn’t have the courage to tell him the truth. “Balang araw maiintindihan mo rin ako.” (Someday, you will understand me.) Nidora kissed Anselmo again on the forehead before walking out at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode.
Donya Tinidora was moved. But she also saw how affected Lola Nidora was. “Ate, anong nangyayari sa iyo?” (What’s happening to you?) Lola Nidora’s confusion was still fresh in her mind as of the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Tinidora, gulong gulo ako nang mga panahong iyon. Tanging si Beyonce lang ang kakampi ko at nasasandalan ko.” (I was so confused at that time. Only Beyonce was my ally and support.) Donya Tinidora tried to dispel Lola Nidora’s worries. “Ate, dahil gulong gulo ka, ituloy mo na yung kwento.” (Since you were confused, continue the story.)
Back to Nidora’s time at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. Nidora confided to Beyonce. “Beyonce, tama kaya yung ginawa ko? Litong lito na ko eh.” (Am I doing the right thing? I am so confused.) Beyonce tried to be practical in her English this time around. “Nidora, that’s your decision. You have to be tough. Okay?” Nidora’s concerns just couldn’t be quelled. “Mahal ko naman si Mama. Lalong mahal ko rin naman si Anselmo. Pero bakit sa ginagawa kong ito, bakit parang pareho ko silang sinasaktan?” (I love Mama. And I love Anselmo even more. But how come I end up hurting both of them with what I’m trying to do?)
Beyonce remained neutral. “Whatever shortcoming you have to them. I know they will understand you. Even not today. Not tomorrow. But I know in the right time. Okay?” Nidora was thankful to have Beyonce around the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Salamat.” (Thank you.) Nidora suddenly had muscle cramps. “Ang sakit ng tiyan ko, Beyonce. Yung anak ko.” (My tummy hurt. My baby.) Despite being clueless wht to do at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. Beyonce tried to pacify Nidora. “Be calm. Be calm, okay? Nidora.”
Lola Nidora had to admit what happened. “Tinidora, lingid sa kaalaman ni Anselmo, nawala ang batang dinadala ko.” (Unbeknownst to Anselmo, I lost the baby I carried.) Donya Tinidora tried to make light of the situation by feigning idiocy at ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Ang ibig mong sabihin, ate, hindi ka pa nanganganak, naglayas na yung bata? Kawawa ka naman, ate.” (You mean, elder sister, you haven’t given birth yet, the baby has ran away? How pitiful for you, elder sister.)
Lola Nidora held the diary as she contemplated on what happened. “Tinidora, sa palagay mo ba, masama akong tao?” (Do you think that I am a bad person?) Lola Nidora’s somber mood did not diffuse Donya Tinidora’s sarcasm. “Gusto mo bang sagutin ko?” (You really want me to answer that?) The KalyeSerye commentary panel present at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode found Donya Tinidora’s sarcasm funny.
Donya Tinidora tried to be sensible in an effort to be honest to her sister. “Paminsan minsan, masama ang ugali mo. Pero hindi ka masamang tao, ate. Promise.” (Sometimes, you have bad behavior. But you’re not a bad person, elder sister.) Lola Nidora tried to come clean at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Noon kasing pumayag ako sa condition ni Mama, pakiramdam ko masama akong tao.” (When I agreed to Mama’s condition, I feel like I’m a bad person.) Donya Tinidora took the opportunity to ask. “Ano ba talaga ang binigay na condition ni Mama, ate?” (What really was the condition that Mama gave?)
The ALDUB You Goodbye episode was then diverted back to Nidora. “Mama, tulungan nyo po akong mapagamot si Anselmo. Beinte mil lang po ang kailangan ko, Mama. Parang awa nyo na po, Mama. Tulungan nyo po ako.” (Help me get medical help for Anselmo. I just need Php20,000. Have mercy, Mama. Please help me.) Donya Ariana is ready to provide the cash. “Beinte mil. Gaya nga ng sabi ko, maliit na bagay. Puede ko pang dagdagan yan. Para makapagsimula si Anselmo ng bagong buhay niya.” (Php20,000. Like I said, it’s a small amount. I can add more. So that Anselmo may start a new life.)
Nidora was elated. “Talaga po ba, Mama? Maraming salamat, Mama.” (Really, Mama? Thank you very much.) She hugged Donya Ariana. Donya Ariana tried not to be moved though. “Gusto mo siyang maoperahan di ba?” (You want him to be operated on, right?) Nidora replied. “Opo.” (Yes.) Donya Ariana egged on Nidora’s vulnerability at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Gusto mo siyang gumaling. Gusto mo pang madagdagan ang buhay ng Anselmong yun.” (You want him to get well. You want to extend that Anselmo’s life.) Nidora replied. “Opo.” (Yes.)
Donya Ariana bitterly verified Nidora’s feelings. “Mahal mo siya.” (You love him.) Nidora replied. “Opo. Sobra po.” (Yes. Very much.) Donya Ariana tried to prepare Nidora for her condition. “Kung mahal mo talaga siya, dapat handa ka sa kung anumang condition ang ibibigay ko.” (If you really love him, you should be prepared for whatever condition I will give.) In her desperation at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. Nidora agreed. “Mama, kahit ano po, gagawin ko para po kay Anselmo.” (I would do anything for Anselmo.)
It was what Donya Ariana was waiting to hear from Nidora at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Ganyan. Ganyan dapat. Dahil ang tunay na pagibig ay sakripisyo. Hindi puro kilig. Ang gusto ko lang naman ay makilala ang hampaslupang iyon. Pero anong ginawa mo? Itinago mo sa akin. Sinuway mo ako. Pues, eto tayo ngayon. Tutulungan ko ang pinakamamahal mong Anselmo kung maipapangako mo sa akin na hindi na kayo magkikita.”
(That’s how it should be. .Because true life is sacrifice. It’s not always about being giddy. I just want to know that scoundrel better. But what have you done? You kept [the relationship] hidden from me. You disobeyed me. Well then, here we are now. I would help your beloved Anselmo if you can promise me that you will never meet again.)
Nidora was not prepared for thiss condition. “Mama.” Donya Ariana continued at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “At pupunta ka na sa America.” (And you will go to America.) Nidora was startled. “Bakit naman po ganun, Mama?” (Why is that so, Mama?) Donya Ariana tested if Nidora would still backtrack at this point. “Ayaw mo?” (You don’t want to?) Nidora was too vulnerable to negotiate. “Wala na po bang iba, Mama? Wag naman po yun.” (Don’t I have any other choice? Please not that option.) The ball is in Donya Ariana’s court. “Ikaw ang bahala. Bente mil para kapalit ng buhay ni Anselmo.” (It’s up to you. Php20,000 in exchange of Anselmo’s life.)
Lola Nidora relayed how she handled this condition. “Naoperahan si Anselmo. Hindi ako umalis ng bansa hangga’t hindi ko nasisigurong ligtas siya.” (Anselmo was operated. I never left the country until I am not assured that he is stable.) The condition was handed down days before Anselmo’s operation at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. Nidora was then shown praying for Anselmo’s safety.
“Dios ko. Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng biyayang ibinigay nyo po sa akin. Higit sa lahat, salamat dahil ipinagkaloob nyo sa akin si Anselmo. At pinayagan nyong madugtungan pa ang kanyang buhay. Kayo po ang pinakanakakaalam kung gaano ko kamahal si Anselmo. Doon po ako humugot ng lakas para isuko ang sarili kong kaligayahan sa paghahangad na mabuhay pa siya ng mas matagal. Si Anselmo. Itinuro niya sa akin ang tunay na pag-ibig. Ang pag-ibig pala ay kapag iniisip mo ang kabutihan ng mahal mo higit pa sa sarili mong kaligayahan. Mas mamatamisin ko pang isipin na hindi ko man makasama si Anselmo, nabubuhay naman siyang masaya at masigla. Kahit sa piling ng iba. Dios ko. Sana dumating ang panahon na mapatawad ako ni Anselmo.”
(My God. Thank you very much for the blessings that you have given me. Most of all, thank you for giving me Anselmo. And you allowed his life to be extended. You, above all, knew how much I love Anselmo. It’s where I get my strength to surrender my own happiness hoping that he will live longer. Anselmo taught me true love. True love is when you are thinking of your beloved’s welfare more than your own happiness. It would sweeter for me to think that I may not be with Anselmo, but he lives happy and healthy. Even in someone else’s bosom. My God. May the day come that Anselmo would forgive me.)
Donya Tinidora was frank enough to express her disappointment at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Ate, paganun ganun lang, sumuko ka na? Bakit ka sumuko, ate?” (Just like that, [and] you gave up? Why did you surrender, elder sister?) Lola Nidora tried to justify her action at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Hindi mo ako naiintindihan, Tinidora. Dahil kay Anselmo, natutunan ko kung paano magmahal ng tunay. Kung papaano unahin ang kabutihan ng taong mahal mo kaysa sa sarili mong kasiyahan.” (You don’t understand me. Because of Anselmo, I learned how to love for real. On how to prioritize the welfare of your beloved over your own happiness.)
Donya Tinidora was still overwhelmed with Lola Nidora’s revelation as she asked at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Kaya niyan bigla kang pupunta ng America niyan, ate. Gayun ba?” (Is that why you’d suddenly go to the US. Isn’t it?) Lola Nidora described Donya Ariana’s rushed approach to exiling Nidora abroad. “Walang sinayang na oras si Mama. Siya mismo ang nag-empake ng maleta ko.” (Mama wasted no time. She herself packed my luggage.)
Donya Ariana was verbally abusing Beyonce again. “Beyonce, sige na. Bilisan mo. Iligpit mo na ang mga maleta at baka mahuli pa si Nidora.” (Go ahead. Hurry up. Get the suitcases in the compartment and Nidora might be late [for her flight].) Allan K saw how Donya Ariana herself threw one of the suitcases to Beyonce at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Ang lakas ni Mama.” (How strong of Mama.) Nidora tried some last minute negotiations though. “Mama, hindi na po ba magbabago ang isip nyo?” (Are you not going to change your mind?) Donya Ariana replied. “Hindi na. Sige na. Sumakay na kayo.” (No. Go ahead. In the car.)
Anselmo woke up seeing Pepito beside him. “Nasan si Nidora?” Allan K saw Anselmo’s head wrap not as neat as expected in the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Nakasilip yung kisme.” (The hair is peeking out.) Pepito stood like a log beside Anselmo’s hospital bed. A contrast to his concern verbally expressed. “Wag mong pwersahin ang sarili mo.” (Don’t push yourself.)
Anselmo started asking for Nidora at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Nasan si Nidora? Gusto ko siyang makausap.” (Where is Nidora? I want to talk to her.) Pepito was dumbfounded. He froze with nothing to reply to his cousin. Anselmo noticed how scared Pepito looked. “Sabihin mo nga sa akin. Yung totoo. Sinong nagpagamot sa akin, Pepito?” (Tell me. Be honest. Who had me medicated?)
Pepito’s answer worsened Anselmo’s behavior as if agitating his cousin. “Anselmo, mula nung maoperahan ka, hindi na siya bumalik. Hindi ka man sinilip o kinumusta. May isang pilantropo na gustong tumulong sa yo na hindi man lang nagpakilala.” (Ever since your operation, she never returned. She didn’t even check on you. There was a philanthropist that helped you without any introduction.) Anselmo understood Pepito’s story at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode negatively. “Iniwan ako ni Nidora? Ngayon na kailangang kailangan ko siya?” (Nidora has left me? Now that I need her the most?)
Shortly, Anselmo wept. “Bakit ka sumuko, Nidora?” (Why did you give up, Nidora?) Nidora bade Anselmo goodbye in her absence from the hospital. “Paalam, Anselmo. Sana dumating ang araw na maintindihan mo na para sa yo rin itong ginagawa ko.” (Goodbye, Anselmo. Hopefully the day would come when you would understand that what I did was for you.) Nidora paused to acknowledge Donya Ariana’s role in ALDUB You Goodbye episode too. “Panalo ka na, Mama. Mahal na mahal kita, Anselmo.” (You won, Mama. I love you very much, Anselmo.) Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away” started playing in the background as Anselmo screamed. “Nidora!”
Lola Nidora’s voice trailed in the background as Anselmo shed bitter tears. “Umalis akong hindi nagpaalam kay Anselmo. Masakit pero naniniwala ako. Yun ang tanging paraan para magawa ko ang condition ni Mama. Ang iwan at tuluyang kalimutan ang aking pinakamamahal. Ang sakit.” (I left without saying goodbye to Anselmo [personally]. It’s painful but I believe. That is the only way for me to accomplish Mama’s condition. To leave and forget my beloved. It hurt.)
Anselmo wailed Nidora’s absence. “Akala ko mahal mo ako. Lumaban ako para sa wala. Nidora, ba’t mo ko iniwan?” (I thought you loved me. I fought for nothing. Nidora, why did you leave me?) This time, VST & Company’s “Ikaw Lang Ang Aking Mahal” played in the background. Anselmo had another migraine attack shortly at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode.
Donya Tinidora understood why Lola Nidora considered Anselmo as a special ex. “Kaya pala si Anselmo ang The One That Got Away, ate. Itigil mo muna yung kwento mo, ate. Uminom ka muna ng tubig. Ipasok nyo yung tubig.” (Now I know why Anselmo is The One That Got Away, elder sister. Stop the story first. Have some water to drink. Bring over the water.) A staff member handed a cup of water for Lola Nidora to drink at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode.
Donya Tinidora then mentioned the upcoming surprise at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Mamaya lang, pasasayahin ka ni Alden. May inihanda raw siyang sorpresa para sa mga dabarkads natin sa studio. Mamimigay tayo ng papremyo sa studio. Painom, ate.” (Just a little later more and Alden will entertain you. He prepared a surprise for our friends at the studio. We’d be giving away prizes. Let me drink too, elder sister.)
Lola Nidora kept the cup away from Donya Tinidora though. “Wag ka nang uminom.” (Don’t drink anymore.) Allan K felt pity for Donya Tinidora at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Painumin mo.” (Let her drink.) Lola Nidora tried to reason out without letting go of the cup.. “Wala nang laman.” (It’s empty.) Even Senator Tito had to speak. “Uhaw na uhaw na. Painumin mo.” (She’s very thirsty. Let her drink.) Allan K then changed his mind. “Wag. Hindi naman siya umiyak.” (No. She didn’t cry.)
Donya Ariana was shown at the mansion weeping at her daughter’s departure. She only wept once she’s alone in the mansion. Anselmo tore Nidora’s farewell letter after the migraine attack. The ALDUB You Goodbye episode revealed perhaps the saddest footnote to what could have been a cute love story. [No mention though if Nidora joined her sister Tidora at Massachusetts or her other sister Tinidora at Los Angeles.]
Alden’s surprise was then revealed as an epilogue to the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. Donya Tinidora reminded Lola Nidora about Alden’s effort. “Meron kasi silang sorpresa para sa iyo.” (They have a surprise for you.) Lola Nidora didn’t want the surprise all to herself though. “Bakit naman para sa akin lang?” (Why only for me?) Donya Tinidora found it fair though. “Alangan namang para sa tabi, di ba?” (Rather than for some random reason.)
Alden tried to lighten up Lola Nidora’s mood himself. “Para sa inyo po, lola. Kaya wag na po kayong malungkot.” (For you, granny. So don’t be sad.) Divina agreed. “Para po ngumiti naman po kayo, lola.” (So that you may smile again, granny.) Alden coordinated his surprise with Divina’s condition. “Sabi po ni Divina, yung pangalawang condition po niya sa akin, suyuin po kayo. Kaya meron po akong inihandang sorpresa.” (Divina told me that the second condition is for me to woo you. So I prepared a surprise.) Divina boosted Alden’s image to Lola Nidora at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Natatandaan po ni Alden yun, lola.” (Alden remembered that, granny.)
Lola Nidora then relented. “Sige. Pero ang mahalaga sa akin ay may natutunan kayo. Sa storya namin ni Anselmo.” (Okay. But what’s important for me is that you learned something. From my story with Anselmo.) Divina agreed. “Opo naman, lola.” (Of course, granny.) Donya Tinidora then tried to justify Lola Nidora’s strictness towards them prior to the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Ngayon alam nyo na kung bakit mahigpit sa inyo yan.” (Now you know why she’s so strict with you.) Divina confirmed the lessons learned. “Naiintindihan na po namin, lola. Lola, smile na.” (We understand now, granny. Please smile.)
Donya Tinidora’s sarcasm kicked in again at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Sasampalin kita.” (I’ll slap you.) Alden tried taking the tickle approach though. “Arimunding munding! Arimunding munding!” Both approaches slightly annoyed Lola Nidora. “Inuuto nyo ako eh.” (You’re trying to chide me.) Alden then prepped up the grannies for his surprise from backstage. “Pakita ko na po sa inyo ang sorpresa pati na kay Lola Tidora at Lola Tinidora.” (I have to show you the surprise including Granny Tidora and Granny Tinidora.)
As the backstage door opened at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. A string orchestra was present. Alden then explained what he had in store. “May inihanda akong kanta sa inyo ngayong araw. Para hindi na po kayo malungkot.” (I prepared a song for you today. So that you won’t be sad anymore.) Alden then led Divina and the grannies to the side of the stage. There were chairs for them to sit while watching Alden’s performance. Alden then continued at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Kahit di pa po Valentine’s Day, ia-advance ko na po para sa inyo. At para po kay Divina.” (Even if it’s not yet Valentine’s Day, I would advance it for you. And for Divina.)
Alden then sung his cover of “Tuloy Pa Rin” at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. Part of the lyrics said. “Tuloy pa rin ang awit ng buhay ko. Nagbago man ang hugis ng puso mo. Handa na kong hamunin ang aking mundo. Kaya’t tuloy pa rin.” (The song of my life continues. Even if the shape of your heart has changed. I am ready to challenge my world. So I go on.) It was a fitting way for Lola Nidora to accept that what happened has happened.
Allan K then asked Donya Tinidora. “Ano pakiramdam, Ging Ging?” (How does it feel, Ging Ging?) You’re good, Alden.) Alden was satisfied upon hearing Lola Nidora’s feedback. “Salamat po.” (Thank you.)
Lola Nidora looked back at the love she left behind at the ALDUB You Goodbye episode. “Tama ang sinabi mo, Tinidora. Tuloy pa rin ang buhay. Nasaktan ako. Pero bumangon. Ang mahalaga sa buhay, ang matuto tayo. Ang tunay na pagibig ay maraming sakripisyo. Tandaan nyo yan. Tandaan nyo yang lahat. Alden and Divina simultaneously replied. “Opo.” (Yes.) Lola Nidora then asked the young couple. “May tanong ako sa inyo. Hawakan nyong kamay ko. Alden at Maine. Handa na ba kayong umibig?” (I have a question for you. Hold my hand. Alden and Maine. Are you ready to fall in love?) Before either Alden or Maine/Divina could reply Lola Nidora’s question, the truck horn honked off. Ending the ALDUB You Goodbye episode.
