#ALDUBWayBackHome Cloning YayaDUB proved to be a somewhat effective ploy to confuse Isadora’s radar. Donya Tinidora appeared in the ALDUB Way Back Home episode in YayaDUB gear again. The disguise plan may have been Lola Nidora’s plan. But the disguises used were inputs from Donya Tinidora and YayaDUB herself. To think that both of them complained in the ALDUB Stay With Me episode.
Donya Tidora still has not returned ever since celebrating YayaDUB’s performance at the EB Dabarkads Pa More Grand Finals. Donya Tinidora is keeping the post for the meantime. Lola Nidora has yet to return. The KalyeSerye commentators were again entertained at the sight of Donya Tinidora cosplaying YayaDUB. Yes, cosplay is the safe term to use here. (Anyone from the KalyeSerye would rather use the term “disguise” than cosplay though. Just like here in the ALDUB Way Back Home episode.)
Donya Tinidora still has her Cuando Cuando Cuando. A simple loophole that can blow her cover. Beside them is that one Rogelio left at the ALDUB Stay With Me episode. He is alone at the ALDUB Way Back Home episode too. And he’s not talking where Lola Nidora had been. With Donya Tidora still not back. Donya Tinidora had no other choice but go straight to calling Lola Nidora.
In a jiffy, Lola Nidora was shown in the ALDUB Way Back Home episode. She was also in YayaDUB gear. She has an army of YayaDUB clones behind her dancing to Big Bang’s Fantastic Baby. (Not all of them had the polka dotted apron too. And they looked more like Donya Tidora’s students from her street makeup classes.) Lola Nidora enjoyed the opportunity to dance around. That was until Donya Tinidora brought up Isadora again.
The mere mention of Isadora in the ALDUB Way Back Home episode got Lola Nidora livid. She can’t keep her word about calming down. She is paranoid to the point of unreasonable. Donya Tinidora had to wait for Lola Nidora to finish her tirade before putting her foot down. “Tama na yan. Puro ka haka-haka. Tigilan mo na yang mga akala. Asan si Yaya?” (Enough of those. You’re all about speculation. Stop those perceptions. Where is nanny?)
Lola Nidora ignored the question and continued her outburst. Lola Nidora’s outburst is getting her into occasional blank stares. Then the spinner had to play Dawin’s Dessert to get her psyched away from her paranoia. (Soon, episodes like the ALDUB Way Back Home would need a psychiatrist with mood swings this extreme.) Lola Nidora seems to be aware of the mood swings. She cleared her mind first before dialing her phone home.
Donya Tinidora rephrased her question. “Akala ko ba naglayas si Yaya?” (I thought nanny ran away.) Lola Nidora nipped Donya Tinidora’s own speculations. “Ano to? Tumakas lang, lumayas na?” (What gives? She just escapes and you think that she ran away?) In a few minutes, her governess Rihanna answered the phone. Lola Nidora then started checking the household from where she sat at least verbally.
Rihanna confirmed that YayaDUB is back home. Lola Nidora shifted her question to the groceries. “Nabili mo ba yung mga pasalubong ko? Gracias. Gracias. Yung mga okra, kalabasa, malunggay at wag kalimutan crispy pata.” (Have you bought the gifts? Thank you. Thank you. The okra, squash, moringa and don’t forget the crispy pork leg.) While Lola Nidora and Donya Tinidora waited for YayaDUB, they went to their Sugod Bahay errand first in the ALDUB Way Back Home episode.
After a very interesting conversation with their Sugod Bahay winner (one that doesn’t beg for mercy but would rather focus on how she survived life as a single mother). Lola Nidora and Donya Tinidora returned to their post. The remaining Rogelio and Donya Tinidora’s army of Cuando’s kept the post guarded for the ALDUB Way Back Home episode. Here the sisters waited for YayaDUB to arrive.
The KalyeSerye commentators then saw the remaining Rogelio with a suitcase and a boxed package. They then asked what the fuss was. Lola Nidora calmly replied. “Aalis siya.” (She’s leaving.) Because Alden hasn’t arrived yet in the ALDUB Way Back Home episode. Allan K thought that YayaDUB would follow Alden to Japan. Lola Nidora denied it. “Hindi naman. Pupunta siya dun sa kaanak namin.” (No. She would go to our distant relative.) Everything is set.
Lola Nidora talked to YayaDUB again regarding this major decision made in the ALDUB Way Back Home episode. “Maguusap kami ni Isadora. Paguusapan namin ang tamang panahon.” (We of Isadora will talk it over. We will discuss the right time.) Donya Tinidora is skeptical of Lola Nidora’s seemingly last resort. “Sigurado ka ba maaalagaan yan ng tama?” (Are you sure that she will be taken care of?) Lola Nidora simply said “Oo” (Yes). YayaDUB took care of Lola Nidora for years. Now it’s her turn to protect her nanny. Her aunt duties has officially taken over.
YayaDUB still didn’t want to go. But she didn’t want to go to Isadora either. Lola Nidora assuaged her further. “Hindi kita inilalayo kay Isadora. Gusto ko lang matiyak ang mga balak niya.” (I am not taking you away from Isadora. I just want to be sure of her plans.) The sisters quit their search for Isadora in ALDUB The Revelation episode. This was after Lola Nidora blew the covers of the Isadora pretenders in the said episode. Donya Tidora and Donya Tinidora seemingly agreed based on the developments that followed. (Also, the KalyeSerye plot switched back the focus on ALDUB.)
Now that Isadora realized that the search is stopped. She resurfaced. It alerted Lola Nidora on Isadora’s reasons for claiming YayaDUB. It made her suspicious. So before she would give up Divina a.k.a. YayaDUB to Isadora, Lola Nidora had to learn first of her motives. She managed to leave Divina in the past. What pushed her to claim what she now calls her daughter? Lola Nidora promised to Divina a.k.a. YayaDUB one thing. “Susunduin kita dun pag okay na ang lahat. Sana nagbago na siya.” (I will fetch for you once everything is okay.)
YayaDUB slowly rode into the mini-coaster as the Rogelio took in her luggage. Minutes later, Alden was seen running towards her den in the ALDUB Way Back Home episode. He arrived in front of his HD monitor just in time to see the mini-coaster’s door closed. He was shown carrying a single stem of red rose and a paper bag of goodies from Japan. He hasn’t contacted the riding in tandem yet. Especially now that he fears that his latest gifts will not make it in time. Alden was hurting as he DUBsmashed Rivermaya’s “Hinahanap-Hanap Kita”.
The mini-coaster hasn’t left yet. It gave YayaDUB enough time to open the mini-coaster’s window and DUBsmash in return. She DUBsmashed Lea Salonga’s cover of “Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal”. Both Alden and YayaDUB were grasping at straws to keep communication lines open. They didn’t have time to grab any clipboard nearby at the ALDUB Way Back Home episode. Alden was teary-eyed as he DUBsmashed Sugarfree’s “Makita Kang Muli”.
Donya Tinidora felt sorry for the young couple at the ALDUB Way Back Home episode. She turned her attention to Lola Nidora. “Ayan, ate, yan yung isa sa mga iniisip ko. Ayan na si Alden.” (There, elder sister, that’s what I’ve been thinking. There is Alden.) Lola Nidora then had to explain the situation to Alden. “Lola Nidora ito. Baka hindi mo ako nakikilala. Alam mo, na-late ka ng dating. Minsan may mga bagay na gusto kang hawakan. Pero hindi kasya sa kamay mo.” (This is Lola Nidora. You might fail to recognize me. You know that you’re late. There are some things that we want to hold on to. But they don’t fit in your grasp.)
Lola Nidora’s tone wasn’t into blame mode. Just stating a fact in the ALDUB Way Back Home episode. “Ang hindi kayang hawakan ng kamay mo, hawakan mo ng puso mo. Alden, umalis ka dahil kinakailangan. Nung umalis ka, lalong nakilala ni Yaya ang sarili niya.” (What you can’t grasp with your hands, grasp with your heart. Alden, you left because you need to. When you left, nanny knew herself better.) [Lola Nidora must have been referring to the commitments Alden had with the GMA Artists Center. GMA had to strike while the iron is hot. Hence putting Alden into the Zamboanga leg of the Kapuso Fans Day and the GMA Pinoy TV anniversary in Japan.]
Lola Nidora pinpointed further an aspect that Alden and YayaDUB separately had. (That other love teams wish they had too.) Alden and YayaDUB had careers even before they became a couple. Career growth for them was mentioned as a positive effect of the temporary separation. “Malaki ang mundo para paikutin nyo lang sa isang tao.” (The world is too large for you to let it revolve around one person.)
Lola Nidora then repeated the same advice she gave to YayaDUB. This time to Alden. “Ang pag-ibig hindi araw-araw kilig. Hindi araw-araw Pasko. Pero sana anumang mangyari, makita nyo sana ang dahilan.” (Love is not giddy everyday. It’s not Christmas everyday. But whatever happens, may you see the reason in all of this.) Alden was listening intently as he bitterly wept in the ALDUB Way Back Home episode.
This also served as an opportunity to indirectly address the growing animosity towards Alden and YayaDUB through Lola Nidora. Because haters gotta hate. And the ALDUB Way Back Home episode is no exception. “Alden, hijo, wag kang bibitaw. Dahil malapit na ang tamang panahon. Malapit na. Maraming hindi nakakaunawa. Huhusgahan kayo. Pero tanging kayo ang nakakaunawa. Kailangan nyong akayin ang mga sarili nyo para makarating kayo sa gusto ninyong marating.” (Alden, son, don’t give up. Because the right time is getting closer. It’s getting closer. Many people will not understand. You will be judged. But only you two will understand. You need to help yourselves towards your desired goals.)
Alden managed to get a clipboard to reply both to Lola Nidora and to YayaDUB. “Hindi ako susuko para sa ating 2.” (I won’t give up for the 2 of us.) It was an emotionally-charged moment in the ALDUB Way Back Home episode. Some of the KalyeSerye commentators were caught getting teary-eyed too. Alden wrote again on the clipboard. “Hihintayin ko ang tamang panahon.” (I will wait for the right time.)
When would YayaDUB be back? No one knew. But everyone is excited to see the ALDUB couple back. Even if that moment seemed stolen from what Lola Nidora wanted to happen for the meantime.
