Oftentimes a graceful exit. He may have almost redeemed himself when Duhrizz was bullying YayaDUB. But knowing how he almost got away with buying a bride really, really established a pockmarked reputation for him. Then again the Filipino audience is one of the most forgiving audiences in the world. More on that later as Lola Nidora’s worst fears are confirmed.
To our beloved readers that only learned about the ALDUB phenomenon today, a little refresher. Lola Nidora once demanded money from Alden Richards before she agrees that he meet YayaDUB in person. Alden doesn’t have enough money to do so. Lola Nidora then had YayaDUB arranged in marriage with her family friend Frankie Arenolli. Frankie can pay the money that Lola Nidora needed. Once Lola Nidora’s schemes got revealed in the ALDUB Against All Odds episode, she failed to get the money. The cash could have helped Lola Nidora redeem the lost diary. But no. It was in the ALDUB Tuloy Ang Forever episode where some of the leaked photos were shown.
Lola Nidora is out for damage control. She went into blame game mode again. Blaming Alden for the lost diary and the leaked photos. Frankie then chastised Lola Nidora for blaming Alden again for what went wrong in her life. He then told her the hard truth. That there is no one else to blame on what happened to her but herself. He was a few words short of saying that her diary should have been her responsibility. And he sure knew what he is talking about. He almost got milked for cash for Lola Nidora’s selfish ends. Lola Nidora then shut up. The ALDUB Tuloy Ang Forever episode did its share of presenting the righteous side of Frankie.
Lola Nidora had big reasons to really get paranoid about leaked photos. While everyone is still guessing her real age. Photos of her with infamous dictator Adolf Hitler revealed the shady connections that she had in the past. What was she doing in Germany? Why is she among his acquaintances? By this time, history nerds knew that not all of people that mingled with Hitler committed suicide. People that can live without his political party chose to live. In the ALDUB Tuloy Ang Forever episode, Lola Nidora’s concept of “forever” makes you go suspicious
Another photo that made it harder to guess Lola Nidora’s age was at a dinner party. It seemed like a stolen shot showing former US President John F. Kennedy with his wife, former first lady Jackie Kennedy. On a table behind them are Lola Nidora and her date for that dinner party. She’s been with Hitler and decades before that she was with the Kennedys at the White House. Lola Nidora has explained in episodes prior to the ALDUB Tuloy Ang Forever episode where her money came from. Old money. But how old? And what kind of business is she into exactly to merit the kind of riches she once enjoyed? It’s the past that YayaDUB was too young to remember.
Frankie is having difficulty in saying goodbye. Alden and YayaDUB are too preoccupied with their Dubsmash beats and signboards to pay attention to him. Being the kind-hearted nanny that YayaDUB is. She then asked Alden to let Frankie say goodbye for the meantime. Alden simply gave YayaDUB the thumbs up sign. This allowed Frankie to say goodbye to everyone else. As he doesn’t see himself coming back. He asked to hold YayaDUB’s hand for one last time. YayaDUB agreed without looking at him directly in the eye.
Frankie then turned to Alden. He asked to take care of YayaDUB. Later he addressed everyone 2-million-strong Twitterverse. He slyly mentioned that they will regret wishing for the wedding to go bust. He said goodbye to Paolo and then to the Rogelio’s. Later he ordered the Rogelio’s (right after saying goodbye to them) to help him with his luggage. The ALDUB Tuloy Ang Forever episode really showed how conflicted Frankie turned out to be.
Now while Lola Nidora has let Frankie go, it still will not be a walk in the park for Alden. She is still in possession of the coffee table book bearing the Countdown to Tamang Panahon. And she almost pinched YayaDUB for giving in too easily to someone like Alden. She still thinks that Alden had it too easy. Before Lola Nidora could reveal the next challenge for Alden, her phone rang. As she tried to convince the caller to cancel her trip to where Lola Nidora lived. The ALDUB Tuloy Ang Forever episode goes into cliffhanger mode.
Another character perhaps after the ALDUB Tuloy Ang Forever episode? Lola Nidora is one full bag of secrets and lies. As the contents of the diary gets spilled, the ALDUB nation has yet to see. How will it affect everyone involved in the story? Any reason can be a convenient excuse for Lola Nidora now.
