#ALDUBMeetsTVJ [Featured Image from Eat Bulaga Facebook Page] The stage is set literally for the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. The episode is more like Lola Nidora wanting to meet the trio collectively known as Tito, Vic and Joey. While each member of the trio is now known individually. [Incumbent Philippine Senator Tito Sotto. Actor/Host/Producer “Bossing” Vic Sotto. And Actor/Host/Writer/Painter “Boss” Joey de Leon.] Philippine entertainment still referred to them as “Tito, Vic and Joey” (TVJ for short) long before Throwback Thursday has become a trend.
It was expected to be a grand entrance for Lola Nidora at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. The camera panned over the banquet. Nothing too grand. Just simple enough to remind us of YayaDUB and Lola Nidora. “Isaw” (grilled chicken intestines) with sauce on the side and “chicharon” (crackling crispy pork skin) . Bossing Vic made a nice recap of the previous episodes when Lola Nidora was at the Broadway Centrum.
First was when YayaDUB joined the Dabarkads Pa More contest at Eat Bulaga. And Lola Nidora kept Alden distracted through a water-fetching chore. Second was when Lola Nidora slammed down the plywood wall between Alden and YayaDUB. It happened at the ALDUB Battle For A Cause episode. The ALDUB Meets TVJ episode seemed to be promising as the TVJ themselves viewed it through the table they prepared. The coconut husk was also shown with 2 straws. The kind of table preparation that would get Lola Nidora concerned.
The camera would occasionally shift to Lola Nidora’s van. It looked like a mini-coaster based on shots displayed at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. KalyeSerye commentator Allan K viewed it as a vehicle fit for a rich matron. Lola Nidora seemed to be ready where she sat in the vehicle. But she let her sister, Donya Tinidora go ahead first. Besides Donya Tinidora has some gifts of her own to take to Broadway Centrum for the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
The ALDUB Meets TVJ episode really showcased Donya Tinidora’s ladder fetish. The ladder that the audience won’t pay as much attention as before got the attention it deserved. Thanks to Donya Tinidora. Apparently, she climbed almost every ladder she found at the Broadway Centrum. Like. Every. Ladder. Possible. Including that wall with the exposed reams of lumber support for the plywood wall. Bossing Vic had to point out that it’s not a ladder. But Donya Tinidora still climbed it. Her Cuando Cuando Cuando followed her from behind carrying her gifts. In between the climbs, she managed to rip off a leg from a boxed lechon in the dabarkads’ dining area.
Donya Tinidora is very happy to meet all the Eat Bulaga dabarkads. TVJ even paid their respects to her by the “pagmamano” gesture. Donya Tinidora in return kissed Senator Tito on the cheek. (Senator Tito was visibly surprised with that kiss in a good way.) Donya Tinidora let the dabarkads do the “pagmamano” gesture to her. Including Sam. Patricia was the exception though. Donya Tinidora kissed her instead of extending her hand to her. (It is out of character indeed in the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.)
Of course, Donya Tinidora would like to kiss Bossing Vic too. She tried to get close to him for just a kiss. Bossing Vic tried to scamper away from her. The crowd then chanted. “Bossing! Bossing! Bossing!” Bossing Vic eventually relented in the condition that Donya Tinidora would only kiss his cheek. With this Donya Tinidora motioned the crowd to count. One. Two. Three. Just when Bossing Vic was about to kiss Donya Tinidora’s cheek. Donya Tinidora turned around. Bossing Vic managed to pause in time at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
Donya Tinidora proved to be a convenient distraction while waiting for Lola Nidora’s entourage at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. Too bad she had to fall off her chair while dancing. Too much dancing perhaps. She could only complain. “Hindi pa panahon, napisa na!” (It’s not yet in season yet it’s smashed. [The rambutan perhaps.]) Her fall happened off-cam. But the audience’s scream could only give television viewers an idea of the spontaneity of the moment.
The rest of the dabarkads like Jimmy Santos and Ruby Rodriguez tried to help Donya Tinidora. While everyone was worried about Donya Tinidora. Lola Nidora’s van was shown on Broadway Centrum grounds. The crowd outside is just as packed as inside. Everyone is excited to seeYayaDUB live on Eat Bulaga again. The ALDUB Meets TVJ episode is proving to be a festive occasion for the 36-year-old noontime variety show. As the grand matron entered the building, she prepped YayaDUB about the show itself.
Apart from what YayaDUB already knew. Lola Nidora shared to YayaDUB the length of time that Eat Bulaga had been on air. 36 years. No other variety show, noontime or primetime, has ever achieved such longevity on air. (Besides, outside the Philippines, the term “variety show” can be tough to define. Variety in what? Eat Bulaga becomes the best explanation today on what an ideal variety show is.) YayaDUB had been to the Eat Bulaga studio at Broadway Centrum several times before. But only in the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode did she finally get an orientation. It may be informal since it’s Lola Nidora who did it. But still it’s a nice orientation not only to YayaDUB but to the rest of the millennial generation clueless to the powerhouse entertainment empire that Eat Bulaga has established.
The Eat Bulaga dabarkads looked on happily. The KalyeSerye Commentators still held their microphones like this is still some regular KalyeSerye episode. Except that they are watching Lola Nidora and YayaDUB tour the Eat Bulaga studio towards the banquet that the Eat Bulaga dabarkads has prepared. Lola Nidora’s knowledge of the backstage proceedings were verified by Boss Joey de Leon once she pointed at the black telephone.
According to her, Ms. Helen Gamboa, Senator Tito’s wife, owned it. That was when she was still with Eat Bulaga during its earliest days. Lola Nidora made sure to mention that Eat Bulaga has been operating since 1979. And of course, how can Lola Nidora forget Jimmy Santos’ chair at the dining room? YayaDUB is very happy to see her granny smile. Jimmy Santos was then shown at the ALDUB Meets TVJ doing his “pabebe wave” to Lola Nidora. That was when the crowd started chanting. “LOMMY! LOMMY! LOMMY!” Lola and Jimmy for the win!
Lola Nidora did not hesitate in including the painful memories in her informal orientation. This is her point of view anyway at the ALDUB Meets TVJ. So for now she gets away with it. She showed the ladder where she climbed after catching YayaDUB and Alden violating their promise to her. It is just close to the plywood wall that she slammed down to keep the lovebirds away from each other.
Then again, she showed Alden’s den. She even pointed to his HD monitor where he often kissed YayaDUB’s telecast. Lola Nidora even asked YayaDUB to smell the monitor herself. “Amuyin mo yung monitor. Amoy laway ni Alden. Mabango. Amoy ko pa yung ulam nila kahapon. Munggo.” (Smell the monitor. Smells like Alden’s saliva. Fragrant. I could smell their meal yesterday. It’s mongo bean stew.) She then looked for the doorbell to official enter the banquet to the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
YayaDUB managed to do the “pagmamano” gesture first to the founding fathers of Eat Bulaga. And later to the rest of the dabarkads that let her. (If they consider themselves too young for YayaDUB’s gesture, a hug would be fine.) Lola Nidora then introduced the TVJ trio as YayaDUB paid her respects to them. Once she has met all of the dabarkads present. Lola Nidora then formally introduced YayaDUB to the studio audience and viewers at home glued to their TV sets. “Ladies and gentlemen, eto po si Yaya.” (Ladies and gentlemen, here is nanny.) Lola Nidora told YayaDUB to greet everyone watching the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
YayaDUB busted out some Busta Rhymes DUBSmash to greet everyone at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. Lola Nidora interpreted it. “Sabi niya, napakaganda ng audience.” (She said that the audience is very lovely.) She then dished out some Nicki Minaj DUBSmash to continue her greeting will full Jim Carrey-esque precision. (Watchu gonna do with that Dessert? In Living Color?) Lola Nidora continued with her interpretation. “Sabi niya raw, lahat alive, walang tulala.” (She said everyone is so alive, no one’s dumbfounded.)
YayaDUB went on with the hip-hop themed greeting in Ludacris’ beats. Lola Nidora continued her interpretation at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. “Sabi niya halo halo pala. Me galing abroad. Me galing Pilipinas.” (She said that it’s a mixed audience. Some are from abroad. Some are from the Philippines.) Lola Nidora then led YayaDUB to the table where TVJ stood. She called Bossing Vic by his full name, Marvic. She mentioned how she wanted to meet TVJ and formally introduce YayaDUB to them. For YayaDUB, old habits die hard. But she ended up fanning Bossing Vic once she stood beside him.
Bossing Vic expressed his happiness at finally meeting YayaDUB. But he then mentioned an important presence to Lola Nidora. “Mas maganda kung titingin kayo sa inyong bandang likod.” (It would be lovelier if you would look right behind you.) At the back of the table where TVJ stood was Jimmy Santos. Lola Nidora then told YayaDUB to stay with TVJ as she went to where Jimmy Santos stood. Boss Jimmy then DUBsmashed Lionel Richie’s “Hello”. He managed to hold Lola Nidora’s hand at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode as he DUBsmashed.
Jimmy tried to kiss Lola Nidora. Even if Allan K’s hand was seen behind Lola Nidora’s neck at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. Lola Nidora still managed to avoid Jimmy’s attempt. Even Senator Tito managed to point out that Jimmy went too fast. “Mag-conservative kang konti.” (Be a little conservative.) It snapped Lola Nidora back to reality. “Masyado kang mabilis.” (You’re too fast.) Donya Tinidora then chided Lola Nidora by pushing her to Jimmy. “Ate naman. Umaarti pa eh!” (Sis, please. You’re acting out.) Lola Nidora replied. “Nandito ako para ipakilala si YayaDUB. Saka na ang labing-labing.” (I came here to introduce YayaDUB. Do the flirting some other time.)
Lola Nidora went back to business at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. She then changed the topic to asking where Alden has gone. Alden was then shown in the gazebo preparing the promised gift and the flowers for YayaDUB. He DUBsmashed “Happy” whiie fixing his hair and the flowers. YayaDUB also DUBsmashed “Happy” albeit a different version. Lola Nidora tried to keep YayaDUB’s happiness on the down low. Perhaps to avoid getting ahead of herself in extreme happiness. Later she then looked for her tape measure from the Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio.
The Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio forgot the tape measure. That’s one job inefficiency that the ALDUB Nation welcomed at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. Senator Tito then tried to appease her by pointing at her folded fan. It seemed like a foot (12 inches) long when folded. She then tried to verify the measurement by asking Sam YG. (Because Indians are viewed as good at calculations.) Albeit upset at the Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio. Sam’s estimation of the stick managed to appease Lola Nidora.
Next she checked the table that Eat Bulaga has prepared for Alden and YayaDUB. She found it too small. Senator Tito spoke for the rest of the dabarkads. “Ang layo na nga niyan eh.” (That’s already far apart.) Lola Nidora expressed pleasure at the table prepartion though. “May mga baso na. Hindi na sila mabubulunan ng para-paraan.” (There are glasses already. There would be no more choked up tactics.) Boss Joey supported Senator Tito’s claim at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. “One foot na yung table.” (The table is one foot long.)
ALDUB Meets TVJ. The idea of a small table kept Lola Nidora at her wits’ end. But she managed to put up a front for the sake of TVJ by admitting that she wanted to take YayaDUB back home. Donya Tinidora almost snapped. She insisted what everyone else can see. That the table is more than 12 inches long. Long enough to keep Alden and YayaDUB away from each other. Donya Tinidora’s sarcasm strikes again. “Puede na nga silang mag-basketball diyan.” (They can even play basketball there.)
Everyone was trying to convince Lola Nidora how long the table is. Even the cameraman provided an upper shot of the table. Lola Nidora had no allies in contesting the table’s length. “Parang gusto ko nang umuwi.” (It’s like I wanted to go home.) Yes, she’s starting to look like a drama queen at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. She’s so paranoid. She even forgot the main reason she even asked for an audience with TVJ.
Senator Tito then helped her remember while justifying the table preparation at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. “Ayos na yan. Haharanahin ka na nga namin eh.” (That’s fine. We’re about to serenade you.) His younger brother, Bossing Vic, seconded the motion. “Bakit ka naman aalis? Eh kakantahan ka pa namin, Lola.” (Why are you leaving? We will be singing for you, granny.) He almost snapped if not for Allan K reminding him that Lola Nidora is a guest. Donya Tinidora also reminded him that Lola Nidora is her sister.
Bossing Vic then tried to make amends by pulling Lola Nidora aside. Donya Tinidora even helped in preparing the chair for her. TVJ then attended to Lola Nidora with her back turned on YayaDUB. Bossing Vic managed to get hold of himself. He diverted his attention to what Lola Nidora really wanted. “Di ba request mo? Gusto mo kantahan ka ng TVJ?” (Isn’t this your request? You want to be serenaded by TVJ?) Lola Nidora said yes. But she’s still paranoid. Senator Tito then asked for his guitar at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
Senator Tito had to apologize in advance though. Boss Joey admitted pestering fellow dabarkads Ryan Agoncillo for the latest David Foster creations. (I know.) But since they could not master it. TVJ had to resort to their standard kundiman repertoire. Lola Nidora was fine with it as long as it’s from the heart. Senator Tito then revealed the title of their chosen song. “The Light” for ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
The resident lyricist, Boss Joey, led in singing the kundiman song “O Ilaw” (The Light). He adjusted the song’s lyrics to fit the tribute they prepared for Lola Nidora. It was followed by their other standard kundiman song “Ikaw Ang Aking Panaginip” (You Are My Dream). If you have watched enough TVJ movies, you would find this song familiar. It’s also a little common in films where Bossing Vic Sotto was the lead actor. Before the song goes halfway. Jimmy starts singing his part in the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. That’s when Lola Nidora starts getting too giddy to sit down on her chair.
Lola Nidora was vocal about the happiness she felt at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. “Alam nyo, sa ganitong edad di ko akalaing me manghaharana pa sa akin. Wala pa kasing DUBsmash nung panahon namin.” (You know, in my age I never expected that someone would serenade me. There was no DUBsmash in our time.) She must have referred to Jimmy’s almost impromptu inclusion in the serenade. She then prompted the crowd to give TVJ and Jimmy a round of applause.
Lola Nidora then shifted to the comparison between courtship now to courtship in her time. The time spent by the man to serve the family. “Pinagsisibak ng kahoy. Pinagiigib ng tubig. Hindi yung sa kalye nagliligawan. Ngayon tinginan lang, MU na agad eh.” (They chop wood. They fetch water. Not courtship on the streets. Now a simple eye contact meant a mutual understanding.) [Mutual understand meant a couple is not yet official. But they are already exclusively dating in the Pinoy slang “MU”.) Lola Nidora’s opinion about tags like “In a relationship” and “It’s complicated” were voiced out again in the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
Lola Nidora’s tirade on “fast love” continued. “Ang lovelife ngayon ay daig pa ang balita. Live via satellite.” (Love life today beats the news. Live via satellite.) Boss Joey himself noticed that it’s been taking so long for Alden to come out. So he joined in calling Alden out. Alden then appeared while YayaDUB hid behind Lola Nidora. She’s getting conscious again at the thought of Alden arriving at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
Alden was carrying his box of mango chocolate and stems of roses once he stepped onstage. First, he gave a rose to Lola Nidora. And then gave another rose to Donya TInidora. When Alden tried to hand over the rose to YayaDUB. YayaDUB extended her hand to Alden. (Galawang Maine Mendoza! Kunwari magpapamano at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode!) It did not skip Donya Tinidora’s watchful eye. So she managed to stop it in time.
Alden looked so preppy and demure in his schoolboy inspired red sweatshirt and white collar. YayaDUB DUBsmashed KC Concepion’s version of “For The First Time”. YayaDUB’s red luscious lips reminded some fans of that Angelina Jolie red-lipped look all over again. Alden’s reaction was that of a smitten young man. Seeing a woman several times in person now. But still feels like every meeting is brand new. Must be the eyes as displayed in the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
Lola Nidora folded her fan again to serve as the distance between YayaDUB and Alden. Her paranoia sets in again. She obviously looked conflicted in having YayaDUB at the Eat Bulaga studio. It was a stark contrast to the overflowing happiness from the studio audience. YayaDUB then switched to DUBSmashing Bic Runga’s version of “Sway”. The ALDUB Meets TVJ episode showed her in a giggling mode again. Lola Nidora’s interference reminded Alden of the mango chocolate he promised for YayaDUB.
Lola Nidora looked on as Alden tried to hand over 2 packs of mango chocolate to YayaDUB. Someone from the audience screamed “I love you, Alden”. It triggered YayaDUB into slight aggression. But she didn’t attack anyone. Lola Nidora just looked at her and escorted her away from Alden. Letting her sit close to Bossing Vic might calm her down. She then told Alden to stay where he stood close to the ALDUB table at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. Donya Tinidora then stayed with Alden.
Minutes later, Donya Tinidora let Alden sit opposite the table where YayaDUB sat. Alden then DUBSmashed “In Your Eyes” as he sat a little far from YayaDUB. While Donya Tinidora tried to come up with an excuse to let Alden and YayaDUB sit in the specially prepared table. Bossing Vic complained. “Lola, gutom na kami.” (Granny, we’re hungry.) Lola Nidora complained too. “Sa barangay, nagda-DUBsmash. Hanggang dito nagda-DUBsmash. Kumain na tayo. Gutom na ko.” (You DUBsmash at the barangay. You DUBsmash even here. Lets eat. I’m hungry.)
Senator Tito then tried to help out Donya Tinidora by pointing out the table the crew prepared. Lola Nidora would rather sit on the “ALDUB Table” at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. Therefore taking Alden’s spot on the ALDUB Table. Even Allan K chimed in. Lola Nidora was insistent. “Ano naman ang mabuti dun?” (What good is there?) She was referring to what good is there in letting Alden sit with YayaDUB.
Donya Tinidora then mentioned the obvious at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. “Wala namang masama dun. Ang dami-daming nakabantay. Andito rin lang naman tayo. Okay lang, ang layo layo na.” (There is nothing bad there. So many people are watching. We’re already here. And it’s okay. They are far apart.) All Lola Nidora could do in retaliation is pinch Donya Tinidora. Later she chastised her about the shortened skirt.
Lola Nidora’s mind games returned shortly at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. She declared that if Alden can beat her in “Bato Bato Pik” (Rock Paper Scissors Game). Lola Nidora would allow Alden to sit with YayaDUB. It was then finalized as a best of 3. Whoever makes it first to 3 points wins the game. Donya Tinidora served as the referee by default. In no time, Alden managed to win the Rock Paper Scissors Game.
While Lola Nidora was disturbed at the “nye nye nye nye nye” attitude that YayaDUB exhibited when Alden won. Donya Tinidora just appeased her. “Ganyan talaga mga bata ngayon.” (That’s really how kids are nowadays.) Lola Nidora conceded appropriately. She then told Alden and YayaDUB to shake hands as well. It was the first time perhaps that Lola Nidora bent her “No Touch” policy. (No. That moment with Jimmy holding her hand doesn’t count.)
The ALDUB Meets TVJ episode showed YayaDUB so happy. She ended up speaking again. That explained the microphone on her hand. She ended up reciting the lines from Maricel Soriano’s movie “Kaya Kong Abutin Ang Langit” (I Can Reach Heaven). It then pushed her to sing the chorus of Alden’s song “Wish I May”. Alden got a microphone himself and sang a duet with YayaDUB.
Alden gave TVJ some packs of mango chocolate too at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. As Bossing Vic ate some, Allan K escorted Lola Nidora away from Alden and YayaDUB. Donya Tinidora then pulled Alden and YayaDUB together. Jimmy and Boss Joey then helped the ALDUB couple get closer. Jimmy pushed YayaDUB’s chair on one side. And Boss Joey pushed Alden’s chair on the other side. Before Lola Nidora could get back to YayaDUB. Allan K has pulled her away.
YayaDUB immediately picked up the coconut husk with 2 straws. She shared the coconut juice with Alden. They had to sip quick as Lola Nidora’s eyes are still sharp for her age. Donya Tinidora helped Alden and YayaDUB pull away from each other while Lola Nidora is looking at them. She then told Lola Nidora. “Ate, nabantayan ko sila. Hindi sila gumagalaw sa puwesto.” (Elder sis, I watched over them. They are not moving from their positions.) Allan K managed to get the rest of the ALDUB Nation to play along. They tried asking Lola Nidora for selfies too. An attempt to distract her from the ALDUB couple in the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
Lola Nidora wanted to join YayaDUB. And she complained that she’s hungry too. Donya Tinidora assured her. “Akong bahala. Di uubra sa kin ang mga kalokohan ni Alden.” (I’ll handle it. Alden’s tricks won’t work on me.) Lola Nidora is still paranoid. “Gusto kong samahan si Yaya.” (I want to be with nanny.) Boss Joey vouched for Donya Tinidora’s words. Allan K made Lola Nidora believe that Donya Tinidora is really watching over Alden and YayaDUB at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
Alden then reached to the pack of mango chocolate he bought for YayaDUB. He then helped her eat it. He placed one on her mouth. YayaDUB happily ate it and was once on the brink of choking again. Alden immediately handed her over a goblet of water. Alden held the stem and bottom of the goblet as he handed it over to YayaDUB. YayaDUB then accepted the goblet by holding the main body. In short, no touch policy achieved in the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode in this aspect.
Allan K tried to massage Lola Nidora from behind at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. It is obvious though that he’s avoiding Lola Nidora from turning around to see YayaDUB get close to Alden. Lola Nidora wanted to go back to YayaDUB. Allan K warned her that fans might think she’s a snob for turning down photo-ops. Boss Joey lifted the table cloth later. Either he’s literally covering for ALDUB. Or he’s exposing the ALDUB footsies.
The ALDUB Meets TVJ showed a lot of fans that wanted a selfie opportunity with Lola Nidora. Allan K kept Lola Nidora distracted with the help of the cooperative ALDUB Nation. YayaDUB then pulled out her phone for a selfie opportunity of her own with Alden. Bossing Vic can’t help but notice something. “Ang layo eh!” (Too far apart!) The rest of the dabarkads then joined in the selfie opportunity at the ALDUB Meet TVJ episode. And Lola Nidora wanted to join the “family picture”. Allan K kept her preoccupied.
Alden helped YayaDUB by holding her phone for the bigger selfie opportunity. (That was the photo that Eat Bulaga uploaded. This article then used Eat Bulaga’s photo as its featured image.) This time, Allan K could not stop Lola Nidora from going onstage for the selfie opportunity. Donya Tinidora tried to stop the photo-op. But Lola Nidora asked her this one. She plans to have this dabarkads selfie framed in the mansion. It’s a convenient souvenir from the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
YayaDUB and Alden let her sit in between them for the selfie op. Once done, Alden tried handing the phone back to YayaDUB without touching her hand. Allan K then told Donya Tinidora. “Allan, baba na tayo. Tinototoo na nung dalawa.” (Allan, let’s go down. The two are making it real.) YayaDUB’s face was like “What are they talking about?” Lola Nidora could not catch the ALDUB couple in the act. So she just sat beside Bossing Vic instead at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode.
Bossing Vic tried to mimic Lola Nidora’s way of talking when he called Alden. “Alden? Alden? Masarap ang mangga.” (Alden? Alden? The mango tastes delicious.) Once Lola Nidora got Bossing Vic’s attention, she went to business in the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. “Marvic, kaya pala ako napadalaw kasi may isa pang dahilan. Nais kong makiisa sa EB classroom. Sa Plastic ni Juan project.” (Marvic, the reason I visited is because of another reason. I want to collaborate with the EB classroom. In the Plastic ni Juan project.) TVJ welcomed the help since it would mean more donations to come.
This time, it was Boss Joey who covered for Alden and YayaDUB. YayaDUB and Alden managed to talk freely while Boss Joey stood beside Lola Nidora. Later, Donya Tinidora took Boss Joey’s place in covering for ALDUB in the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. Lola Nidora was occasionally distracted with the audience’ screams. She doesn’t see much what’s happening on the ALDUB Table. Alden and YayaDUB had a lot of stolen moments. They’re constantly on their toes to avoid angering Lola Nidora.
Lola Nidora was then poetic in this moment. “Ang mga pagkakataong kasama ang pamilya ay mga panahong hindi mababayaran. Magkakasama tayong lahat. Napakasaya. Kahit gaano pa tayo ka-busy.” (Moments with the family are priceless times. We are all together. It’s so fun. No matter how busy we could get.) Bossing Vic could only complain about the “noisy neighbors” at the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. “Itong mga kapitbahay na ito! Ang iingay!” (These neighbors! So noisy!) Donya Tinidora then seconded the comment. “Hoy! Mga kapitbahay! Magsitahimik kayo!” (Hey! Neighbors! Shut up!)
Lola Nidora continued with her litany in the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. “Kahit gaano kayo ka-busy, spend time with your family. Collect memories. Not just pieces of jewelry.” Then she had another request to Bossing Vic. “Gusto ko pa sanang mas matuto pa si Yaya. Puede ko bang iwan muna sa yo si Yaya?” (I want nanny to learn more. May I leave Yaya here for the meantime?) Bossing Vic quickly replied. “Aba, puede ho.” (Of course you may.) Lola Nidora continued. “At si Alden naman ang isasama ko.” (And I will take Alden in her place.)

Lola Nidora may not need chopped wood and water from the well anymore. But this is how Alden can keep his word of pursuing YayaDUB. Donya Tinidora immediately got the gist of Alden’s traditional “panunuyo”. Boss Joey viewed this as an immersion for Alden. He would be joining Lola Nidora on the barangay segments at Juan For All All For One. Senator Tito viewed this as a positive exposure for Alden. The TVJ collectively agreed for letting Alden go while YayaDUB stays.
Lola Nidora then called out across the room to tell the rest of the dabarkads about leaving YayaDUB for the meantime. She had specific instructions for Alden’s pick-up artist mentor Sam YG. “Behave!” Senator Tito vouched for Sam by saying “Babantayan namin yan!” (We will watch over him!) Alden was fine with the arrangement too. It was like an exchange gift that came early for the ALDUB Meets TVJ episode. Around this time, Lola Nidora receives a frantic call from her governess Rihanna.
