The ALDUB Love on Cue episode happened a day before the much-awaited ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Anticipation for the upcoming launching movie of ALDUB is at a fever-pitch high. But the ALDUB Love on Cue episode opens with the Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio working out at the outdoor gym. They were later joined by Donya Tinidora and Lola Nidora.
Boss Joey realized that the Rogelio Rogelio Rogelio were complete. “Yung 2, excon. Yung isa, CONFEERMED.” (2 of them are ex-con. The other one is openly gay.) Donya Tinidora liked what she saw at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Kaya bilib na bilib ako sa mga Rogelios natin, ate.” (This is why I admire our Rogelios, elder sister.) Bossing Vic commented. “Eh si Rogelia?” (How about Rogelia?)
Donya Tinidora pointed out Rogelia. “Ayan oh. Tingnan mo. Sirenang-sirena.” (There. Look at him. Looks so much like a mermaid.) Allan K was amused. “Nakabilad ng tanghaling tapat.” (Tanning on high noon.) Donya Tinidora could only be just as amused with Rogelia’s efforts at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Sasali talaga ng Ms Universe. Tanghaling tapat. Nagpapaganda ng katawan.” (He really plans to join the Miss Universe. At high noon. And he’s improving his physique.)
Allan K doesn’t find Rogelia’s figure as feminine. “Batak!” (He’s pumped!) Boss Joey can’t help but spot Rogelia’s barbel at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode though. “Kulay ube pa yung ano.” (His [barbel] is even purple.) Donya Tinidora didn’t find anything wrong with it though. “Hindi naman siya halatang bumigay diyan. Yan ang kailangan natin. Alagaan ninyo ang inyong mga katawan.” (He doesn’t look too openly gay there. That’s what we need. Take care of your bodies.)
Donya Tinidora started relaying some health tips. “Pero dapat ang exercise natin, sinasabayan natin ng dyeta.” (Exercise should come with the proper diet.) Lola Nidora then tried lifting one barbel with her foot. “Dyeta. Tama yan.” (Diet. That’s correct.) Donya Tinidora continued with her advice plus some sarcasm at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Dapat nagdidyeta kayo. Balanced sa pagkain. Kelangan prutas, gulay tapos yung taba ng baboy.” (You should be on a diet. Balanced diet. Fruits, vegetables and pork fat.)
Allan K supplanted Donya Tinidora’s sarcasm at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Wag kalimutan ang extra rice.” (Don’t forget the extra rice.) Lola Nidora finished her test exercise and talked to the Rogelios. “Kaya pala ang aga aga nyong nawala sa mansion. Nandito kayo sa gym. Sumabay tayo dito.” (No wonder you were gone earlier from the mansion. You’re here at the gym. Let’s join them.)
The 2 Rogelios stopped their routines after the grannies arrived. Only Rogelia continued his routine at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Donya Tinidora asked him “Ilang repetition yang ginagawa mo?” (How many repetitions for your routine?) Rogelia answered. “200 po, madam.” Donya Tinidora found Rogelia intimidating for a gay guy. “Pag ito nakasalubong mo sa gabi, bumigay ka na. Kesa masaktan ka.” (If you meet this at night, might as well give in. Rather than get hurt.) Allan K laughed hard at that comment.
Lola Nidora thought Rogelia’s muscular frame as of the ALDUB Love on Cue episode is a good thing. “Maganda yan. Nagpapalaki sila ng katawan para protektahan tayo.” (It’s good. They’re getting pumped to protect us.) Donya Tinidora thought of some gays that normally frolicked at night. “Biro mo. Pag nakasalubong mo sa gabi, sasabihin sa yo. ‘Ano gusto mo? Ma-in love ka sa akin o gulpihin kita?’” (Imagine. You’d see him at night and he’d tell you. “What do you want? You fall in love with me or I’d beat you up?”)
Lola Nidora imagined the poor fellow’s answer. “In love na lang?” (I’d just fall in love instead.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Donya Tinidora next spotted the Rogelios at the corner. “O kayo? Bumigay na rin kayo. Naka-hanging shirt ka na oh.” (And you? You’ve given in too. You’re even wearing a hanging shirt.) As always, the remaining Rogelios are too quiet to even provide adlibs.
Shortly, LMFAO’s track started playing at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Alden was then shown working out at the gym. Donya Tinidora saw him. “Nagwo-workout din si Alden dito. Malakas ‘to ha?” (Alden is working out too. He’s pretty strong.) Alden held the barbel on one hand and the mic on the other. Bossing Vic had to comment. “Parang mas mabigat ang mic ah.” (The mic seemed heavier.)
Lola Nidora asked Alden. “Bakit ka naman sumasabay sa pag-exercise nitong mga Rogelio?” (Why are you exercising too like the Rogelios?) At the ALDUB Love on Cue. Alden replied. “Di ba? Kelangan lagi tayong healthy. Lalo ngayong summer. Galaw-galaw tayo. Mahirap nang ma-heat stroke, lola.) (Isn’t it? We need to be always healthy. Especially this summer. We should be on the move. It’s hard to get some heat stroke.)
Lola Nidora sensed something. “Parang pinariringgan ako nito.” (He’s like talking about me.) Donya Tinidora thought Alden meant well. “Ikaw lang ang pinapaalalahanan.” (He’s just reminding you.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Alden somewhat asked. “Lola. May hinahanap po kasi ako eh.” (Granny. I was looking for someone.) Lola Nidora just replied. “Hanapin mo. Nandyan lang yan.” (Look for her. She’s just around the corner.)
Donya Tinidora cut to the chase. “Si Divina?” Alden answered. “Opo. At saka alam nyo po, lola. Kaya po ako naggi-gym talaga para ako yung maging Rogelio ni Divina.” (Yes. And you know, granny. The reason why I work out so that I’d be Divina’s bodyguard.) Donya Tinidora’s sarcasm attacked again at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Pano lalaki ang katawan mo? Styro yan.” (How will you pump up your body? That’s a styro [barbel].)
Boss Joey then dared Alden. “Ibagsak mo nga.” (Drop it.) Alden dropped it like he almost severed his arm. Allan K is not buying it. “Echosero.” (Liar.) Donya Tinidora chose to compliment Alden’s talent. “Magaling talaga umarte nitong si Alden.” (Alden is really an effective actor.) Alden laughed it off at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode.
Donya Tinidora then talked to Alden. “Si Divina maagang umalis. Umalis ng bahay, Alden. At pupunta ng Tuguegarao. Di natin alam kelan babalik.” (Divina left early.She left the house early. And she went to Tuguegarao. We don’t know when she’d be back.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Lola Nidora added. “Nagpaalam din sa akin. May mga requirements daw na isa-submit.” (She said goodbye to me too. She said she has requirements to submit.)
Alden was confused. “Anong gagawin sa Tuguegarao, lola?” (What would she do at Tuguegarao, granny?) That’s when the inconsistencies unfolded. Donya Tinidora said. “Magsa-submit.” (To submit requirements.) Lola Nidora said. “Maga-apply ng trabaho.” (She would apply for a job.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Donya Tinidora added. “Na-transfer na siya dun.” (She got transferred there.)
Alden had to voice out his request. “Lola, wag nyo po akong binibiro. FUNNY po ako.” (Granny, don’t make jokes at me. I’m “FUNNY”.) Donya Tinidora asked what FUNNY meant. At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Alden replied. “FUNNYwalain.” [One gullible enough to believe so easily.] Lola Nidora was amused. “Babalik din yan. Ikaw naman. Masyado ka. Di pa nga tumatawag sa amin ni Tinidora.” (She’d be back. Come on. You’re too much. She hasn’t called us yet.)
Alden admitted. “Miss ko na po siya eh.” (I miss her.) He then DUBsmashed Erik Santos’ version of “Miss You Like Crazy”. Divna appeared at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode DUBsmashing too. Donya Tinidora acknowledged her presence. Allan K reacted to Divina’s sudden arrival. “Akala ko ba Tuguegarao?” (I thought she’s from Tuguegarao?)
Lola Nidora quickly told Divina. “May naghihintay sa yo.” (Someone’s waiting for you.) Alden then greeted Divina. “Divina. Kanina pa kita hinihintay.” (I’ve been waiting for you.) Divina greeted Alden back. “Uy, Alden. Hello. Galing akong Tuguegarao. Nag-pass ako ng requirements.” (I came from Tuguegarao. I passed some requirements.) It was Alden that complained about the errand at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Ang layo naman.” (That’s too far.)
Divina knew it too. Alden then asked Divina. “Ano sinakyan mo?” (What’s your mode of transportation?) Divina replied. “Naglakad lang.” (I just walked.) Lola Nidora got worried at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Sa may araw?” (Under the sun?) Allan K spotted another inconsistency. “3 days?” Donya Tinidora was confident of Divina’s skills though. “Sanay kaya yan.” (She’s used to it.)
Alden asked. “Mainit ba sa Tuguegarao?” (Is it hot in Tuguegarao?) Divina admitted. “Oo eh. Obvious ba? Ang itim ko na nga eh.” (Yes. Isn’t it obvious? My skin has gotten dark.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Alden downplayed Divina’s complain. “Okay lang. Kahit ano namang kulay mo, maganda ka pa rin.” (It’s okay. No matter what your skin color is, you’re still beautiful.)
Donya Tinidora had to butt in. “Tuguegarao nga. May araw. Kaya mainit. Pag Tuguegabi, malamig.” (That’s why it’s called Tuguegarao. There’s the sun. It’s hot. If it’s Tuguegabi, it’s cold.) [The last 2 syllables of Tuguegarao sounds like “araw” which means sun in English.] Alden and Divina ended exchanging DUBsmashed tracks later at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode.
Alden then asked Divina. “Gusto mo bang kiligin?” (Would you like to feel giddy?) Divina asked back. “May balak ka ba ngayon? Oo. (Do you plan to now? Yes.) Alden then said. “Alam mo. Kung bibigyan kita ng math problem, ibibigay ko sa yo 1+1.” (You know. If I’d give you a math problem, I’d give you 1+1.) Divina asked why. At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Alden replied. “Para sagutin mo ako agad.” (So that you’d finally answer me.)
Divina feigned innocence at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Alden, actually hindi ko pa rin masasagot. Hindi ko alam.” (Actually I still can’t answer it. I don’t know.) Alden was shocked. “1+1?” Divina tried to answer it “24?” Alden had to try again. “1+1?” Divina replied in nursery rhyme mode. “Magellan.” Alden continued. “2+2?” Divina replied. “Lapu-Lapu.” Alden’s next question was. “3+3?” Divina replied. “Christmas Tree.” Alden’s next question then was. “4+4?” Divina answered. “Bagong bapor.”
Divina then told Alden. “Ang pagmamahal ko sa yo, Alden. Parang paghinga.” (My love for you, Alden. It’s like breathing.) Alden asked why. Divina explained. “Hindi ko alam kung paano ko ihihinto eh.” (I don’t know how to stop it.) Everyone present at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode liked it.
It was then Alden’s turn to ask Divina. “Ano ginagawa ni Alden kapag nalo-low batt siya?” (What does Alden too whenever he’s low batt?) Divina asked what. Alden replied. “E di nagre-RICHARDS.” Divina failed to suppress her laughter at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Allan K immediately spotted that. “Natawa ka, Meng.” (You found that funny.)
Divina has a joke too. “Alden, anong pagkain ang pabiro?” (What food is a joke?) Alden asked what it is. Divina replied. “E di chicharot.” Soon Alden had to change the topic. “Kumusta na yung pakiramdam mo?” (How are you feeling?) Divina mentioned how she felt. “Okay na. Maginhawa na.” (I feel better now.) Alden repeated what he said earlier at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Na-miss you eh.” (I miss you.)
Divina pretended not to believe Alden. “Talaga ba?” (Really?) Alden emphasized it. “Oo. Kahapon.” (Yes. Yesterday.) Divina then DUBsmashed a rather new track. Donya Tinidora got overwhelmed with the new song. “Ang daming letra.” (Too many lyrics.) Alden then tried to crack a joke again at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Anong isda ang nababasa sa ulan?” (What fish gets wet in the rain?)
Divina doesn’t remember this joke. “Ano?” (What?) Alden replied. “E di hito.” (Catfish.) Allan K asked. “Bakit hito?” (Why a catfish?) Alden then recited some lines from the musical “Rak of Aegis”. “Hito ako. Basang-basa sa ulan.” (I’m a catfish. Wet under the rain.) It failed to make Divina laugh. “Babalik na po akong Tuguegarao, lola.” (I’d return to Tuguegarao, granny.) Donya Tinidora’s face was upset again at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode.
Alden quickly apologized to the grannies. “Lola, joke lang.” (Grannies, just kidding.) Lola Nidora called out the ALDUB Love on Cue episode’s spinner. “Pasok, DJ. Bago makalimutan ang punchline.” (Play that music. Before he forgets the punchline.) Alden saw Bossing Vic’s poker face bordering on upset. “Bossing. Joke lang po. Wag po kayong magalit.” (Just kidding. Please don’t get angry.) Bossing Vic then smiled once appeased.
Divina had another joke. “Alden, alam mo ba yung faucet?” (Do you know FAUCET?) Alden thought Divina is asking for the translation. “Gripo.” At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Divina thought. “Ah yun ba yun? Hindi ba yun yung Tagalog ng SQUID?” (Oh is that it? Isn’t that the Tagalog word for SQUID?) [Squid in Tagalog is “pusit”. Whenever some Filipinos mispronounce “faucet”, they end up saying “pusit”.]
Divina suddenly felt embarrassed about her own joke. “Lola, balik na po akong Tuguegarao.” (Granny. I’d go back to Tuguegarao.) This time, the camera at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode focused on Boss Joey. Alden got worried upon seeing Boss Joey. “Tito Jo? Okay lang po kayo, Tito Jo?” (Are you okay?) Among the Eat Bulaga founding fathers, Boss Joey has the quickest temper. But Boss Joey was fine. “Okay ako.” (I’m okay.)
Boss Joey just remembered the same joke. “Nasabit na yung joke nung araw eh. Faucet. May ganun ganun pa yun eh.” (The joke already failed before. It even comes with hand gestures.) He then diverted his attention. “Wala bang hugot yang nagba-barbel?” (Does that guy with the barbel got any quotes?) Divina approached Rogelia as he doesn’t have his own mic.
Donya Tinidora relayed Boss Joey’s question at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Wala ka bang joke?” (Don’t you have any jokes?) Rogelia faintly replied. “Wala pa po, madam. Nakalimutan ko. Nagwe-weights pa po ako. 3 oras na po ako dito. Malapit na laban ko sa Miss Universe. Kelangan po ng Coca Cola body. Hindi pa po ako nag-review.” (None yet, madam. I forgot. I’m still lifting weights. I’ve been here for 3 hours. My participation at the Miss Universe is coming up. I haven’t reviewed.)
Lola Nidora shared a tip. “Gayahin mo kami. ‘Lola, gusto mo bang kiligin? Kumain ka ng kamias.’ Ganun.” (Try imitating this. “Granny, do you want to feel giddy? Eat kamias fruit.” That’s how.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Boss Joey found Lola Nidora’s “kilig” joke funnier. “Buti pa yung lola, meron eh.” (At least the granny has a joke to crack.)
Alden has another question for Divina. “Naalala mo ba yung surprise gift ko sa yo?” (Remember my surprise gift for you?) Divina remembered it too. “Yun nga eh. Di mo pa nabigay sa ‘kin nung Sabado.” (That’s the point. You haven’t given it to me last Saturday.) Alden admitted. “Nahiya kasi ako eh.” (I got shy.) Divina was taken aback with Alden’s reply at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Ano ba yun?” (What is it?)
Lola Nidora butted in. “Ano ba naman itong si Alden? Hijo, yung regalo.” (What is with Alden? Dear, the gift.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Donya Tinidora didn’t mince her words though. Ngayon ka pa nahiya? Tinuka mo na nga yung apo namin eh. Nahiya ka pa.” (You felt shy just now? You already kissed our grand-niece. And you got shy.)
Alden almost scratched his head. “Lola naman. Nahihiya po ako. Ayusin ko po muna.” (Granny, please. I’m shy. I had to arrange it first.) Lola Nidora tried to boost Alden’s morale. “Ang mga bagay bagay, basta galing sa puso, puedeng ibigay. Hindi nakakahiya.” (Items that come from the heart can be freely given.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Alden agreed. Lola Nidora added. “Kaya siguro kinis mo ‘to. Galing sa puso mo eh.” (No wonder you kissed her. It came from your heart.)
Donya Tinidora disagreed. “Hindi sa puso yun. Sa nguso. Galing sa nguso.” (That’s not from the heart. It’s from the lips.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Divina told Alden. “Kahit anong ibigay mo naman. Ma-appreciate ko eh. Kasi sa yo galing.” (Whatever it is that you’ll give. I’d appreciate it. Because it’s from you.)
Lola Nidora even pointed out things that Alden said. “Yung mga joke mo ngang ano eh …” (She even tolerated your [awkward] jokes.) Divina supplanted Lola Nidora’s observation at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Kahit nakakaano yung joke mo.” (No matter how [awkward] your jokes got.) Alden ended up apologizing again. “Sorry, lola.” Alden had to DUBsmash for the meantime.
Alden then promised to Divina. “Bigay ko sa yo bukas.” (I’d give it to you tomorrow.) Divina replied with a DUBsmash. Then Divina asked Alden to show his biceps. Alden then displayed both biceps and triceps consecutively at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Alden explained the workout again. “Lola, may pinaghahandaan po kasi ako eh.” (Granny. I am preparing for something.)
Lola Nidora asked Alden. “Ano yan?” (What is it?) Bossing Vic can’t help but butt in. “Miss Universe.” Donya Tinidora asked Alden after hearing Bossing Vic at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Sasali ka din?” (You’re joining too?) Lola Nidora disagreed. “Hindi yun!” (Not that!) Bossing Vic then replied. “Joke lang, lola.” (Just kidding, granny.) He pointed at Rogelia instead regarding his Miss Universe comment.
Boss Joey supported Bossing Vic’s statement. “Joke lang. Joke lang.” (Just kidding. Just kidding.) Bossing Vic then pointed at Allan K. “Eto, jokla.” (He’s “jokla” [gay].) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Donya Tinidora pointed at Rogelia. “Eto rin. Jokla.” (He’s “jokla” [gay] too.) Then Donya Tinidora turned to her sister. “Nakalimutan na natin.” (We forgot something.)
Lola Nidora looked at Donya Tinidora. “Ano yun?” (What is it?) Donya Tinidora “Yung tanong mo kahapon. May kissing scene ba sila sa ano nila? Divina saka si Alden?” (Your question yesterday. Do they have a kissing scene at the [movie]?) Boss Joey waited for the answer too. “Puede nang sagutin yan. Wala nang busina.” (You may now answer that. No buzzer to worry about.)
Lola Nidora saw part of the script. “Alam mo. Hindi ko pa natatapos basahin itong script. Nasa Page 1 pa lang ako. Hindi pa ako handa.” (You know. I haven’t finished reading the script. I’m still on Page 1. I’m not yet ready.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Donya Tinidora thought Lola Nidora is overreacting again. “Hindi naman ikaw ang hahalikan. Hindi ka pa handa? Sila ang magki-kissing scene. Bakit ikaw ang maghahanda?” (You’re not the one getting kissed. You’re not ready yet? They will be in the kissing scene. Why would you prepare?)
Boss Joey thought the grannies were not updated enough. “Pambihira. Ba’t di ninyo alam? Ako nasilip ko yung title nung movie eh. Supsupin.” (Damn it. Why didn’t you know? I already peeped into the movie title. “Supsupin.”) Donya Tinidora and Divina thought of something else at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode.
Boss Joey then explained himself. “Tungkol sa bilihan ng mangga eh.” (It’s about a mango store.) Lola Nidora got the drift. “Maliliit na mangga.” (About little mangoes.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue. Divina admitted her worries. “Lola, nakaka-pressure naman po yung kissing scene.” (I feel pressured about the kissing scene.) Allan K then suggested. “Puede rehearse ngayon?” (May we rehearse now?)
Alden asked Divina. “Nape-pressure ka ba, Divina?” (Are you pressured?) Divina said yes. Donya Tinidora’s directorial skills were put to the test again. “May tamang paghalik talaga.” (There really is a right way to kiss.) Lola Nidora was still her old-fashioned self at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Sandali. Nire-rehearse ba yun?” (Wait. Is that rehearsed?) Donya Tinidora replied. “Oo. Nire-rehearse yun, ate.” (Yes. It is rehearsed, elder sister.)
Lola Nidora asked Alden. “Nire-rehearse ba yun?” (Is that rehearsed?) Alden could not answer directly. Instead he turned to Donya Tinidora. “Lola, patingin ng rehearse.” (Granny, let me see the rehearsed version.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Donya Tinidora told Alden and Divina. “Kaya nga dapat itinuturo na sa inyo yan. Kasi yung anggulo niyan. Hindi puedeng tuka na lang ng tuka.” (That’s why it should be taught to you by now. Because you have an angle to capture. You don’t just peck for the heck of it.)
Alden then asked Donya Tinidora. “Pano po ba yung tamang tuka, lola?” (How is the right way to peck?) Donya Tinidora can’t be serious in her answer. “Sige. Maghanap ka ng manok.” (Go find a chicken.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Lola Nidora then asked Donya Tinidora. “Pano mo naman mapapatuka?” (How can you make that [chicken] peck?) But she didn’t expect an answer.
Allan K ended up asking too. “Pikit o dilat?” (Closed eyes or eyes wide open?) Donya Tinidora gave some pointers at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Sa umpisa, dilat yun. Sige. Rehearse natin itong dalawa.” (At first, it’s with open eyes. Okay. Let’s rehearse the two of you.) Lola Nidora mentioned a blunder. “Pano mo ire-rehearse? Magkalayo nga yung dalawa.” (How will you rehearse them? They’re far apart.)
Donya Tinidora mentioned the obvious. “Split-screen.” Alden is ready for it. Allan K agreed to it. Lola Nidora told Divina. “Alisin mo yung sumbrero mo. Baka tumama kay Alden.” (Remove your cap. It might hit Alden.) Alden moved to a bigger monitor. “Kelangan ba ng mga linya-linya?” (Do we need lines?) Divina is ready at the ALDUB Love On Cue episode. “Derecho na ‘to eh.” (This will be straight to the point.)
Allan K sounded concerned. “Wala nang usap-usap?” (No lines?) Donya Tinidora called the shots again. “Puesto muna kayo. Magtinginan muna kayo. Ngayon magtinginan kayo sa mata.” (Position yourselves. Stare at each other. Now stare at each others’ eyes.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Lola Nidora reminded Divina. “Wag humikab, Divina.” (Divina, don’t yawn.)
Donya Tinidora gave further instructions. “Kelangan alam nyo ang camera nyo. Over the shoulder yan ha?” (Know where your camera is facing. It should be over the shoulder.) Both Alden and Divina checked their angles without facing the camera anymore. Donya Tinidora continued her instructions at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Ngayon habang lumalapit, dahan-dahan. Nakatingin pa rin sa mata.” (Now while getting closer, gently. You should still be seeing eye-to-eye.)
At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Divina turned her cap to prepare for the scene’s rehearsal. Lola Nidora sent tips to Alden too. “Kunwari nagtatapat ka ng pag-ibig. Para may linya.” (Say you’re about to come clean with your love. So that you’d have lines.) Donya Tinidora yelled. “Ready. Motor!” Bossing Vic yelled back. “Rolling!” Donya Tinidora gave the signal. “Action!”
Alden started his line. “Nung una pa lang kitang nakita …” (When I first saw you …) Donya Tinidora yelled. “Cut!” Alden almost complained. “Lola, wala pa.” (Granny, nothing happened yet.) Donya Tinidora found the audience’s screams at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode as distracting. “Walang maingay!” (Nobody should be noisy!) Lola Nidora yelled some instructions further. “Silent nyo mga cellphone nyo! Saka walang magpi-picture ha? Walang magpo-post!” (Put your phones on silent mode! And nobody should be taking pics! Nobody should post!)
Allan K addressed the crowd present at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Crowd control. Quiet muna. Tatandaan ko mga mukha nyo! Quiet!” (I’d remember all of your faces!) Donya Tinidora went forward with the signals again and yelled. “Action!” Alden resumed with his lines. “Divina, nung una pa lang kitang nakita, minahal na kita.” (When I first saw you, I already loved you.) Allan K yelled again. “Quiet!”
Donya Tinidora yelled. “Cut! Ang ingay mo, AK!” (You’re noisy, AK!) Allan K went back to addressing the crowd. “Sabi sa inyo eh. Bawal muna maingay.” (I told you. Noise not allowed.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Boss Joey sounded half-amused half-resigned. “Hindi ba kayo makatiis? Sandali na lang eh! Kami nag-aabang eh!” (Can’t you restrain yourselves? It would just be moments! We’re waiting for it!) Donya Tinidora was almost livid. “Ititigil ko ‘to.” (I’d stop production.)
Even Lola Nidora sounded upset in her Babalu impression. “Wow! Ang ingay nyo! Wow!” Bossing Vic reminded Allan K about crowd control. Allan K partly repeated what he said to the crowd present at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Tatandaan ko mga mukha nyo! Ang mag-iingay, kokotongan ko!” (I’d remember your faces! Whoever makes noise will be fined!)
Donya Tinidora was worried about time constraints. “Ang ingay. Sige. Abutin tayo ng busina.” (It’s so noisy. Go ahead. The truck horn will catch up on us.) After some prodding, Donya Tinidora resumed production. Alden was just about to say his practice line at the ALDUB Love on Cue when Donya Tinidora yelled. “Cut! Mas malaki yung mukha ni Alden kesa kay Divina.” (Alden’s face was bigger than that of Divina.)
Alden moved to another monitor. The one beside the exit door. Allan K made a request to Donya Tinidora. “Pa-retouch mo na kay Rogelia si Maine.” (Have Maine’s makeup retouched by Rogelia.) Donya Tinidora checked on her monitor if Alden is ready. “Quiet!” With everyone set, Donya Tinidora resumed production at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode.
Alden resumed with his line. He stepped on top of a box to be eye level with Divina at the monitor used at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Kay tagal kong hinintay ang pagkakataong ito. Ang dumampi ang mga labi ko sa mga labi mo. Kaya kung pagbibigyan mo ‘ko. Puede be kitang halikan?” (I waited for so long for this moment. To let my lips touch your lips. So if you would let me. May I kiss you?)
Divina didn’t answer. Instead, she puckered up. The kiss finally happened. Then Donya Tinidora had to yell “Cut!” again. She scolded Divina. “Divina, iki-kiss mo. Hindi ka si Pac-Man.” (You kiss him. Not chomp him like you’re Pac-Man.) Allan K saw it too. “Ngumuya yung apo mo.” (Your grand-niece started chomping away.) Bossing Vic thought Divina puckered a little too pointedly. “Nagmukhang suso eh.” (She looked like a snail.)
Divina halfway scratched her head. “Lola, turuan nyo po ako. Di po kasi ako sanay kasi.” (Granny, teach me. I’m not used to it.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Donya Tinidora kept on chastising Divina. “Basta kung hahalik ka, wag mong igaganun yung nguso mo.” (If you’re going to kiss, don’t pucker your lips that way.) Boss Joey saw something wrong too. “Nakadilat pati.” (Her eyes were open too.)
Donya Tinidora made Divina pretend that her palm is the face of Alden. Divina extended her hand and made her palm face her. It would make Divina see how kissing with her eyes open is wrong. At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Alden asked for some instructions too. “Pamuestra nga po, lola. Patingin nung tamang halik.” (Teach me, granny. Let me see the right kiss.)
Donya Tinidora’s tips to Alden were different. “Kelangan palapit. Sa mata. Sa mata lang ang tingin. Habang lumalapit. Palapit nang palapit. Pag padampi na, dun ka pa lang pipikit. Kasi pag nakatingin ka sa mata, makikita mo. Maduduling na kayong dalawa nun. Siempre pipikit na yung mata nyo.” (You need to get closer. Eyes on hers. While getting closer. Closer and closer. Upon landing on her lips, that’s when you close your eyes. Because if you’re staring at her eyes [while kissing], you’d see. You both get cross-eyed then. That’s when you close your eyes.)
Donya Tinidora turned back to Divina on how to react during the kiss. “Pagpikit parang … Awww.” (Once you close your eyes, it’s like …. Awww.) Allan K was perplexed. “May tunog?” (There’s a sound?) Lola Nidora realized how awkward the kissing scene rehearsal was. “Bakit may tunog?” (Why is there a sound?) Boss Joey thought he heard something else. “Parang may halinghing na.” (It sounds like a moan now.)
Donya Tinidora justified the “Awww.” sound. “Hindi po. Parang ‘Oh, Alden. Nag-toothbrush ka ba?’” (No. It’s like “Alden. Did you brush your teeth?) Alden suggested a practice session with Donya Tinidora. Donya Tinidora reminded Alden at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Sandali. Mag-dialogue ka muna.” (Wait. Say your lines first.)
Allan K chided Donya Tinidora while Alden delivered his lines. “Uy! Bibidahin!” (Lead star material!) What made it awkward was Alden addressing Donya Tinidora. “Lola. Ang tagal ko pong hinintay na magkalapit ang ating mga labi. Pagbigyan nyo po ako na maipakita ang tunay kong nararamdaman para po sa inyo.” (I waited so long for our lips to get close. Please allow me to show my true feelings for you.)
Donya Tinidora just nodded in their workshop. This time at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Lola Nidora yelled. “Cut!” Donya Tinidora asked why. Lola Nidora replied. “Naghihiwalay yung labi eh.” (Your lips are going opposite directions.) Donya Tinidora justified her lip movements. “Para walang kawala, ate. Naiinggit ka.” (So that he won’t go anywhere. You’re envious.) Lola Nidora raised her voice. “Hindi ako naiinggit.” (I’m not envious.)
Donya Tinidora went back to director’s mode. “Ganun dapat ang kissing scene. Yung usapan, ikaw sa kaliwa. Ikaw sa kanan.” (That’s how a kissing scene should be. Discuss. You go left. [Or] You go right.) Alden heard the instructions loud and clear. Divina kept them in mind too.
Later at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode, a light bulb moment occurred to Alden. “Divina, ganito na lang. Para mas madali. Bibiglain na lang natin.” (Let’s do it this way instead. To make it easier. We’d just do it suddenly.) Donya Tinidora thought it over. “Puede din. Puede din.” (Possible. Possible.) Lola Nidora didn’t like the way it sounded. “Ano yung bibiglain?” (What are you doing all of a sudden?)
Alden fumbled in his explanation. Divina tried taking the cudgels from Alden in explaining the sudden kiss. “Hindi, lola. Siya po yung mambibigla sa ‘kin kasi natural lang naman daw pong lalabas yun.” (No, granny. He will do it suddenly to me since it will naturally come out anyway.) Alden agreed. At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Donya Tinidora kept on lecturing the young couple. “Basta get ready kayong dalawa ha? Yung kissing scene.” (Just brace yourselves for the kissing scene.)
Lola Nidora got neurotic again. “Anong get ready? Tinidora, hindi pa ko ready sa mga ganyan-ganyan. Hindi pa ako handa. Eh magpakasal muna kayo. Para papayag na talaga ako.” (What do you mean get ready? I’m not ready for that stuff. Get married first. So that I’d really let you.) Donya Tinidora tried to appease her sister at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. “Ate, kasama sa pag-aartista yan.” (Elder sister, that’s part of being an actor.)
A rock song started playing at the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. It turned our to be Yaya Pak. Donya Tinidora was horrified at Yaya Pak’s appearance. “Bakit basang-basa ka? Nanlalamig ka ba?” (Why do you look drenched? Are you feeling cold?) Lola Nidora asked. “Anong nangyari sa yo?” (What happened to you?)
Yaya Pak arrived from her last task. “Madam, naglinis po ako ng swimming pool sa mansion. Matutuwa kayo, madam. Makintab na.” (I cleaned the swimming pool at the mansion. You’d be pleased, madam. It’s gotten shiny.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Alden noticed the robotic tone in Yaya Pak’s voice. “Ba’t malungkot ka, Yaya Pak?” (Why so sad, Yaya Pak?) Yaya Pak answered. “Ganito lang talaga ako sa personal.” (This is how I talk in person.)
Yaya Pak then explained to the grannies. “Madam, ito po kasing si Rogelio. Tinuruan ako ng underacting. Kaya ganito ang acting ko ngayon.” (It’s Rogelio. He taught me underacting. So this is how I act today.) Yaya Pak still hopes to go “straight”. Hence instead of Rogelia, she calls him Rogelio. Alden mentioned the important lesson in underacting. “Mata lang. Mata lang.” (Only the eyes [are acting]. Only the eyes.)
Divina had happy thoughts upon learning of this. “E di puede na tayong mag-swimming sa mansion.” (So we may now swim at the mansion pool.) Donya Tinidora agreed. “Matagal na nating inaasam-asam yang magamit yang swimming pool na yan.” (We’ve been waiting for so long for that swimming pool to be used.) At the ALDUB Love on Cue episode. Lola Nidora commended Yaya Pak. “Good job, Yaya Pak.”
Just when everyone was already planning to use the pool, the truck horn honked off. Ending the ALDUB Love on Cue episode on a cliffhanger.
