#ALDUBKapitLang The ALDUB Kapit Lang episode hung on the hope that YayaDUB would finally be released. Before YayaDUB’s abductor could say what is it for him before he/she/it releases the poor nanny, the truck’s horn blew. Sometimes you really just want that truck towed. Then again, Eat Bulaga could not set limits to their prized KalyeSerye.
Alden has joined in the efforts to search YayaDUB. He has printed copies of the YayaDUB posters in search for her. The same poster was also found in his official Facebook page. Lola Nidora saw him from her monitor doing this. And she added some spots for Alden to post these posters too. Alden managed to leave some posters to hand over to people he met on the road. The ALDUB Kapit Lang episode got everyone participating in searching YayaDUB. The poster chose to use the last photo taken of her prior to the kidnapping.
Who could be behind the kidnapping plot? At this moment, Donya Tinidora could not leave her sister behind. (It also caused less suspicion on Frankie Arenolli as the mastermind. Just ask Jose Manalo) Donya Tinidora’s search efforts included attaching the posters right on the Cuando Cuando Cuando’s barongs themselves. They ended up looking like walking objects of search-and-rescue operations. The ALDUB Kapit Lang episode’s only light-hearted link to sanity is Donya Tinidora. Lola Nidora is too distraught to do anything other than hand the YayaDUB posters herself.
YayaDUB’s abductor still calls Lola Nidora. But he/she/it just laughs on the other line. (You then realize how Tagalog pronouns are genderless. It makes characters in this KalyeSerye suspect on any possible person of interest. Hence my occasional use of “he/she/it”.) Whoever that person may be is clearly pleased at seeing Lola Nidora at her wits’ end at the ALDUB Kapit Lang episode. Holding on is the last thing she could do now.
Later the abductor gave Lola Nidora some tips as to where she can find YayaDUB. A house with a green gate. Lola Nidora and Donya Tinidora immediately rushed to the house mentioned and checked if YayaDUB was there. Paolo Ballesteros (fresh from his sore eyes’ sick leave) came with them. Lola Nidora and Donya Tinidora were cautious at approaching the house. They even prepared some guns just in case. Paolo took the safe route in the ALDUB Kapit Lang episode. He clicked the doorbell.
Lola Nidora is still distraught. Donya Tinidora took the initiative to talk to the person who opened the gate. She looked like she expected the crew to come over as seen in the ALDUB . She let Lola Nidora, Donya Tinidora and Paolo enter her house. Lola Nidora’s Rogelios eventually followed. Soon the two old ladies found a girl wearing the same clothes as YayaDUB by the kitchen cleaning the sink. Donya Tinidora then tried to call her YayaDUB. She tried getting her attention by tapping her on the shoulder. The girl turned to them. It was not YayaDUB.
Donya Tinidora could only complain at why a girl would get all dressed just to clean the kitchen. The abductor clearly knew how to throw a decoy (?) into the fray. It got Lola Nidora even more frantic. She received another call from the kidnapper giving additional instructions. The kidnapper then mentioned that YayaDUB is at Broadway Centrum all along. Alden’s heart raced along with the devoted ALDUB faithful. The ALDUB Kapit Lang episode then reached fever pitch once it was mentioned. YayaDUB’s prison is just by Eat Bulaga’s props room.
Alden immediately ran to the room mentioned. He ended up getting through several rooms. That included the Eat Bulaga control room. This part starts to feel a little like Jigsaw-esque. But Lola Nidora is not the only person shown having difficulty here. This is much harder for Alden. He just saw YayaDUB in person once. He didn’t expect that after the plywood’s fall. It would lead to YayaDUB getting kidnapped. The kidnapper clearly delighted in seeing Alden in pain too. This might have been one of the reasons why Frankie become the primary suspect.
The kidnapper called Lola Nidora again. Lola Nidora was fuming mad at the mind games. She hated the kidnapper’s guts at confusing her and Alden away from YayaDUB’s real location. Alden is left to hope for the best. For now, he could only stare at YayaDUB’s previous photographs. Days when she was as chirpy and upbeat as he knew her. YayaDUB was shown on the other screen as scared. She could only look around her and try to look for an escape route. The ALDUB Kapit Lang episode indicated mind games that the kidnapper took to get Lola Nidora and Alden messed up. Could the door that YayaDUB found at one side of the room be the escape route? Or another monkey wrench to mess with YayaDUB’s sanity as well?
YayaDUB’s room is starting to gather more light. The writings on the wall are starting to appear clearer. If only the clarity shown applies on her release as well. What lies ahead now that Lola Nidora’s suspects are no longer limited to one? Tune in to Eat Bulaga. Monday to Saturday at noontime.
