#HappyALDUBDay! The ALDUB KalyeSerye Phenomenon has no signs of slowing down or stopping. Even if Lola Nidora tried to rain on Alden’s parade, figuratively and literally. ALDUB would push through with the monthsary even if they haven’t met yet.
There was a minor commotion in this ALDUB KalyeSerye Phenomenon though. Alden Richards was shown onscreen for YayaDUB to see having a “date”. He is not facing the camera. But he is shown on camera having lunch by candlelight. Quite romantic except that YayaDUB is not on the Eat Bulaga studios. YayaDUB was visibly upset.
Lola Nidora was mocking the bad feeling that engulfed YayaDUB. Much to the delight of Frankie Arenoli. Frankie is still waiting for the #YaKie wedding to push through even if it risked YayaDUB’s health. YayaDUB’s sickness caused her to faint at the sight of faces as unpleasant as that of Frankie. Frankie’s face is the kind of face that would make the moon smooth by comparison. A far cry from the almost flawless complexion that Alden possessed. But with Alden acting as if he has found someone else, what about now for the ALDUB KalyeSerye Phenomenon?
YayaDUB tried to conceal the pain. She hugged the big teddy bear that Frankie gave her. Lola Nidora kept on her “I told you” so litany of reasons. She preached endlessly right to YayaDUB’s face that Alden’s forever is a sham. As usual, YayaDUB tried to ignore her. It was the same thing that the audience is trying to do anyway. The public then clamored to show the face of Alden’s current lunch date. The “dabarkads” on the studio – Allan K, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon – also wanted to see who was the woman that Alden dated in the presence, well sort of, YayaDUB. The ALDUB KalyeSerye Phenomenon got everyone glued to their screens (and smartphones for social media purposes). So the aching anticipation is just unbearable for the ALDUB faithful.
It turns out that Alden celebrated their monthsary in the presence of YayaDUB’s cutest heart-heart picture. The one where she is in all of her “pabebe” glory enjoying Alden’s attention. The ALDUB KalyeSerye Phenomenon’s devoted fanbase can breathe easy now. Even further, Alden has learned how to troll Lola Nidora and Frankie. Such is the advantage of being in a remote location. YayaDUB got rid of Frankie’s given teddy bear and starting flirting with Alden all over again.
Alden, as it turns out, has 2 stuffed toys too. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse respectively. Significant of the very cute relationship in the heart of the ALDUB KalyeSerye Phenomenon. And people around the world melted at the sight of a cute couple in love. Celebrating their love with kwek-kwek (batter-covered quail eggs) to share. YayaDUB may be in a remote location. But it did not stop Alden from offering her some.
Lola Nidora reminded YayaDUB that Frankie is just close by. Yet she chose to flirt with Alden who is far away. And she reminded YayaDUB too that Alden failed Lola Nidora’s test. He can’t even accomplish the water-fetching job and here is YayaDUB. On the brink of melting at the sight of an affectionate Alden Richards. YayaDUB didn’t care. It flared up the flames of the ALDUB KalyeSerye Phenomenon further. She kept on tossing Frankie’s teddy bear away from her.
Lola Nidora then declared another test is underway for Alden. Frankie is shown talking to someone on the phone. Before Lola Nidora could declare the next test, sirens started blaring. Lola Nidora then wrote on the piece of paper “Itago nyo ko” (Hide me) and scampered for cover. These half-funny, half-annoying antics that Lola Nidora did made the ALDUB KalyeSerye phenomenon even more interesting.
Still, the ALDUB KalyeSerye Phenomenon goes on. YayaDUB and Alden kept on with their pinky swear. The remote location didn’t faze them. In fact, it made them long for each other more. It was a Happy ALDUB Day indeed. From screen kisses to kwek-kwek forkings to pinky swears and signboards declaring their love for each other. Everyone is more than excited for the weekend to come.
