[Featured Image for ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode recap from Eat Bulaga Facebook Page.] The ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode opens with YayaDUB writing again. She was DUBsmashing alone as if to kill time. She hasn’t finished writing when the KalyeSerye commentary panel acknowledged Lola Nidora’s presence. “Eto na si Wind Blower.” (Here comes the Wind Blower.)
Lola Nidora pretended not to hear them and talked to YayaDUB instead. “Hindi pa kumpleto mga kwento mo sa kin sa pagaaral mo.” (You haven’t finished your stories about your studies.) YayaDUB shared her thoughts about her notes at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Autobiography po.” ([I’m writing] my autobiography.) Lola Nidora realized that it can help YayaDUB write her “slumbook”.
So Lola Nidora gave her a mock interview at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Sige nga. Interbyuhin kita. Parang nag-apply sa trabaho. First question. Tell me about yourself.” (Okay. Let me interview you.) YayaDUB replied with a DUBsmash of Christina Aguilera’s “Beautiful”. Lola Nidora realized how old habits die hard for YayaDUB. “Ayaw mong mag-DUBsmash ano? DUBsmash mo kaya ito.” Lola Nidora then DUBsmashed Kuh Ledesma’s “Baliw” (Lunatic).
YayaDUB realized that she had to drop the DUBsmash act for the meantime. Lola Nidora continued with the mock interview at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Eto, what is your favorite color?” YayaDUB’s answer was expected. “Dilaw po, lola.” (It’s yellow, granny.) Lola Nidora pressed for further information. “Anong klaseng shade ng dilaw?” (What shade of yellow?) YayaDUB replied. “Egg yolk po.”
In true slumbook tradition, Lola Nidora asked. “What is your motto in life?” YayaDUB’s answer was rather blunt. “Di bale nang tamad wag lang pagod.” (Never mind that you’re lazy as long as you’re not tired.) Some from the KalyeSerye commentary panel at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode agreed. Lola Nidora wasn’t very pleased with this kind of answer though.
YayaDUB got worried that Lola Nidora didn’t like her motto. But Lola Nidora assured her that she’s okay at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Wala naman akong sinasabing hindi maganda. Nagulat lang ako.” (I didn’t say anything bad. I was just stunned.) She then went on with her questions. “What are your hobbies?” Lola Nidora couldn’t take YayaDUB’s answers seriously though. “Maglinis po. Magtanim. Mag-araro.” (Clean. Plant. Plow.) No mention of a farming background or Facebook games though.
Lola Nidora just commented on YayaDUB’s hobbies. “Iba pala mga hobbies mo. What is your favorite movie?” YayaDUB’s answers were familiar to the KalyeSerye commentary panel. “Mag-Toning Tayo. Horsey Horsey Tigidig Tigidig [and other movies starring Tito, Vic and Joey].” Boss Joey de Leon suggested a movie he starred in a lead role at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Ayaw mo ng RoboRats?” (Don’t you like RoboRats?) YayaDUB liked the suggestion. “Puede rin po.” (That will do.)
Lola Nidora then asked. “What’s your favorite song?” Of all the tracks that YayaDUB DUBsmashed in the past, she picked one at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Sway.” Boss Joey then verified if he heard her right. “Pag pinanganak, una paa?” (Is that the fetus that comes out of the womb with the foot first?) Bossing Vic corrected Boss Joey. “Suhi yun.” (That’s “suhi”.) Lola Nidora then asked YayaDUB to sing it.
YayaDUB then sang it. “But if you sway that you love me.” Lola Nidora then tried to correct her. “Say yun.” (That’s “say”.) She recognized the tone of the song as Martin Nievera’s “Say That You Love Me”. So YayaDUB sang again. “Don’t stray. Don’t ever go away.” It was the Bic Runga version that she sang at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. Lola Nidora then asked the ultimate staple in slumbooks. “What is love?”
YayaDUB didn’t answer so quickly. But Alden’s cover of Bic Runga’s “Sway” was heard in the background. Alden DUBsmashed his own cover song. He has a pillow with YayaDUB’s photo printed on the pillow cover. It then led to another DUBsmash exchange that made both happy.
Alden greeted Lola Nidora before talking to YayaDUB. “Wala kang school today?” (Don’t you have school today?) YayaDUB replied. “Bukas pa. Uminom ka na ng gamot mo?” (That would be for tomorrow. Have you taken your medication?) Alden downplayed his colds again at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Oo. Pahinga lang to.” (Yes, it would only take a little rest.)
For the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. YayaDUB prepared some jokes again. “Use VIOLET in a sentence.” Alden then prodded YayaDUB to use VIOLET in a sentence. “Alam mo kahapon, nasira ang sapatos ko. Kaya ayun. I VIOLET.” (You know what yesterday, my shoes got ruined. So I VIOLET. [‘I buy ulet’ meaning “I will buy again.]) Alden dished out a joke of his own. “Ano yung pusa na maliit lang?” (What do you call a small cat?) YayaDUB then asked what it is. “E di CAT-titing.”
YayaDUB then played a little guilt trip on Alden. “Pag yung jokes mo, tumatawa ako kahit ano ha?” (When it comes to your jokes, I laugh right?) Alden then asked YayaDUB what does she want. “Ano gusto mo?” (What do you want?) YayaDUB explained at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Gusto ko yung mapipikon ka. Para seryosohin mo ako.” (I want you to be upset. So that you will take me seriously.)
Alden wasn’t upset. But he has a ready answer to YayaDUB at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Akalain mo. Buhay pa rin ako kahit nasa yo ang puso ko.” (Can you imagine? I’m still alive even if my heart is with you.) YayaDUB then asked to view Alden’s hand. And so Alden opened his palm wide enough for YayaDUB to check. YayaDUB checked it. “Hindi naman ganun kalaki kamay mo. Bakit hawak mo ang mundo ko?” (Your hand is not that big. How could you hold my world?)
Later, Alden had some wishful thinking. “Sana nandito ka na lang. Para may nagaalaga sa kin pag may sakit ako.” (I hope you’re here instead. So that someone takes care of me whenever I am sick.) YayaDUB exclaimed. “Inalagaan naman kita kahapon ah.” (I took care of you yesterday.) It got the audience thinking that it was a slip of the tongue at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode.
It was all fun and games until YayaDUB noticed Lola Nidora asleep on her seat. YayaDUB had to wake her up. It must have been her age that caused her to sleep inadvertently. She explained herself though. “Haba ng kwentuhan nyo, nakatulog ako. Alden, andyan ka pala. What is love?” (Your conversation took a little long that I fell asleep. Alden, you’re there. What is love?) Alden’s answer was quicker than expected. “Yan pong nasa tabi nyo.” (The one beside you.) YayaDUB was giddy again.
It was then YayaDUB’s turn at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode to ask Lola Nidora. “Para sa inyo po, what is love?” (What is love for you?) Lola Nidora’ answered as a matter of factly. “Love is anything that occupies space and time.” Allan K of the KalyeSerye commentary panel exclaimed. “Matter yun!” (That’s matter!) Lola Nidora maintained her answer. “Love is all that matters.”
Lola Nidora then tried asking Alden too. “Alden, what is your favorite color? Yung katabi ko na naman?” (The one beside me again?) Alden laughed before answering Lola Nidora’s question. “Black and yellow. Yang suot nyo po, Lola.” (Like your dress.) Lola Nidora just made a side comment at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Wow! Friendship!” A car horn was then heard outside.
It was Donya Tidora. Whether Lola Nidora’s entourage is really in dire financial situation or not. It really gets you thinking how come the Bernardo Bernardo Bernardo never resurfaced in the hit KalyeSerye. She carried a basket of treats as she approached Lola Nidora and YayaDUB at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Hi Ate.” (Hi, elder sister.)
Lola Nidora asked where her sister had been again. “Tidora, san ka na naman nanggaling?” (Where have you been again?) After the pleasantries at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. Donya Tidora acknowledge Alden’s presence. “Alden, nakasalubong ko yung nagdala nito.” (Alden, I met on the road the men who sent this.) Alden then verified that the basket of treats were his gift to Lola Nidora’s entourage. “Para sa inyo po yan.” (That’s for you.)
They shared the treats at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. Mostly “espasol” (grated/sweetened coconut coated with powder). Lola Nidora was wary of the gifts though. “Ikaw, Alden, nililigawan mo ba kami?” (Alden, are you wooing us?) Alden had a mixed answer. “Naalala ko lang po kayo. Saka parang ganun na rin.” (I just remembered you. And it seems like I am wooing you.) The implied tradition of giving gifts even to the girl’s immediate family is seen here. YayaDUB and Alden happily exchanged DUBsmash tracks as the grannies checked the basket’s contents.
Donya Tidora got worried of her sister. “Kakabagin ka na naman, ate.” (You’d get another flatulence, elder sister.) She always sat close to Lola Nidora. So she wanted to avoid another farting incident like in the ALDUB Kilig Continues episode. Boss Joey had an interesting suggestion. “Bigyan mo kaya ng kamote.” (Give her some cassava.) Lola Nidora didn’t mind at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode.
Lola Nidora turned her attention to Alden instead. “Nasan lola mo?” (Where’s your granny?) Alden answered. “Nasa penthouse po.” (She’s at the penthouse.) Lola Nidora verified if she heard Alden correctly. “Pet house?” Alden repeated politely at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “Penthouse po.” Lola Nidora continued with opening the wrapped boxes in the basket.
The KalyeSerye commentary panel then asked about the mansion. Lola Nidora shared how the mansion almost got burned due to cheap Christmas lights. The De Explorer mansion may be mortgaged. But it’s not an excuse to settle for cheap Christmas lights. “Sa mga ganyang bagay, kala mo nakatipid. Dumami pa ang gastos.”
Donya Tidora thought of the mortgage though. Burning it down might worsen the stalemate between the mansion and the lost ring. Lola Nidora downplayed the situation. “Wag kang magalala. Di pa nakikita ni Alden ang singsing.” (Don’t worry. Alden hasn’t found the ring yet.) Alden cowered behind his pillow once reminded of the lost ring again. When then will it be found? At “Sa Tamang Panahon Volume 2”?
Lola Nidora served as someone to remind the audience of the risk of Christmas lights too cheap to be deemed safe. “Marami akong nababalitaang ganyan. Faulty wirings. Dapat maingat para lahat merry this Christmas and everyday.” (I have stories like that. Faulty wirings. We should be cautious so everyone will be merry this Christmas and everyday.) This serves as a public service announcement at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode.
Lola Nidora’s phone rang later. After using her latest password at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode, she answered the phone.”Tinidora, andyan ka na sa airport? Paghahanda kita ng pagkain.” (You’re already at the airport? I would have some food prepared for you.) She told YayaDUB to separate some of the food in the basket from the ones she already opened.
While waiting for Donya Tinidora. Donya Tidora and Lola Nidora went to their Sugod Bahay errand. But Lola Nidora remembered to ask Bossing Vic if ever there are some tickets for his upcoming film “My Bebe Love”. Bossing Vic has a simply answer. “Basta pumunta ka sa sinehan?” (Just go to the cinema.) Lola Nidora was sad that no reservations are taken. “Di pala puede advanced?” (So I can’t buy tickets in advance?) [Several AlDub MaiDen chapters though have planned special screenings.]
Lola Nidora just had a minor problem in the Sugod Bahay errand at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. Dogs. Albeit scared of the dog found in their winner’s home, she did not let it distract her. Their winner was gracious to welcome them. Prizes were given away. Stories were shared. And it made you realize why Sugod Bahay errands work best when the winner gets visited.
Donya Tidora was then asked by Boss Joey if she plans to go to the University of the Philippines. “Tidora, hindi ka ba pupunta sa UP? Oblation Run ngayon.” (Tidora, aren’t you coming over to UP? Today’s the Oblation Run.) {Oblation Run is the UP tradition where men ran a marathon wearing nothing but a face mask.]
Lola Nidora already had an appointment to attend with Donya Tidora. “Dun na lang tayo sa walk. Walk of Fame sa Eastwood.” (Let’s just go to the Walk of Fame at Eastwood.) All main players in the hit KalyeSerye – Paolo Ballesteros, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola. Maine Mendoza and Alden Richards. – all earned spots in the Eastwood City Walk of Fame for the year 2015. It was an important hallmark mentioned at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode.
Back at home where YayaDUB was left to arrange Alden’s gifts. YayaDUB got to taste the food items too. “Alden, ang sarap naman ng mga pinadala mo. Matutuwa si Lola nito.” (The items you sent tasted great. Granny will be pleased.) She must have been referring to Donya Tinidora. She is set to return at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. They exchanged DUBsmash tracks as Donya Tidora and Lola Nidora returned.
A car horn was heard honking outside the house. Alden and YayaDUB expected it to be Donya Tinidora. Lou Bega’s Mambo No. 5 hits the airwaves. Camera pans outside where Donya Tinidora and her mini-mink coat were seen. It made Bossing Vic quip. “Mainit na naman ang suot.” (Wearing something sweaty again.) And so she arrived complete with her zombie army of Cuando Cuando Cuando at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode.
Everyone is so happy. Might as well bring in the CAPS LOCK at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. “TINIDORA!” “ATE!” “SISTER!” Lola Nidora found Donya Tinidora’s sunnies as lovely. “Ganda ng antipara mo.” (Your shades are beautiful.) Donya Tinidora was slightly apologetic upon arrival. “Pasensya na kayo. Last Week pa ko narito. Naabala lang ako sa airport.” (I’m sorry. I was here in the Philippines since last week. Just got into a scuffle at the airport.)
Apparently, Donya Tinidora had a round trip from the US to the Philippines. So her “pasalubong package” was a mixed bag. “Sa Cebu ako galing tapos dumaan ako ng Laguna. Dala ko ang paborito ni Allan. Panucha. Si Allan, panot sya!” (I’ve been to Cebu then I’ve been to Laguna. I have Allan K’s favorite. Panucha. Allan K is slightly ‘panot’.) She then gave her pack of polvoron to her sisters at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode.
Donya Tinidora was having difficulty with her audio at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. If she can hear the KalyeSerye commentary panel, it’s not through her earpiece. She even pinched her nose to check if her ears are not clogged. Among the things that Donya Tinidora had. Lola Nidora loved the sunnies. “Akin ito ha? Bagay sa kin. Maghanap nga kayo ng araw para magamit ko ito.” (This is mine okay? Looked great on me. Get me some sun so that I can use this.) Donya Tidora reminded her that it’s raining outside. “Ate, umuulan.” (Elder sister, it’s raining.)
Lola Nidora also loved the polvoron. “Alam mo sa LA lang ako nakakatikim nito.” (You know that I only get to taste these in Los Angeles.) Donya Tinidora could really feel in the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode that she’s home. “Sandali. Naiinitan ako.” (Wait. I feel sweaty.) The sisters then reminded her. “Siempre andito na tayo sa PIlipinas.” (Of course, we’re already here in the Philippines.)
Of course her sisters immediately asked about Bill. Donya Tinidora shared a little. “Bill. Ang laki ng bill ko.” (My bill was staggering.) Apparently she forgot that she’s not in the Philippines. So her bills like her phone bill jacked up real high as of the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode. The question had to be rephrased so she could answer it better. That’s when she admitted talking to her ex, Bill. “Okay na kami ni Bill. Okay na.” (We’re okay of Bill now.)
Donya Tinidora shared her Thanksgiving week in the US. “Tongues giving! Lahat ng tao nakadila. Ganda ng turkey.” (All people have their tongues stuck out. The turkey looked lovely.) Of course, she asked about Alden. “Nasan si Alden? Hello, How are you? Na-miss ko kilig kilig.” (Where is Alden? I missed the giddyness.) That’s when Donya Tidora told Donya Tinidora. “Marami nang nangyari sa kanila after nun.” (So much has happened [prior to the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode].)
Donya Tinidora’s knowledge is limited to some wedding. “Hindi ko alam na may kinasal.” (I didn’t know about the wedding.) Donya Tidora told her it wasn’t enough. “Basta marami na yun.” (There is a lot that happened.) Everyone was updating one another. That no one noticed that Lola Nidora fell asleep again at the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode.
Lola Nidora was somewhat apologetic. “Sabi nga, pa-check up na to.” (I was even told to have this condition checked.) The KalyeSerye commentary panel then suggested. “Pa-check up mo na rin ang noo mo. Lumalapad.” (Have your forehead checked too. It’s getting wider.) Donya Tinidora was already at the brink of sharing what happened on her trip when she teared up. Before she could start on her story, the truck horn honked off. End of the ALDUB Deja Vu Love episode on a cliffhanger.
