The ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode opens with Yaya Pak by the mini-pool. Donya Tinidora and Lola Tinidora arrived later. Their drinks were of room temperature. Donya Tinidora wondered. “Itong juice natin. Walang yelo. Anong nangyari?” (Our juice drinks are not iced. What happened?) Lola Nidora enjoyed imitating the truck horn sounds on the side.
Upon realizing what Donya Tinidora said. Lola Nidora asked. “Eh nasan ba kasi yung mga yelong pinagawa ko sa mansion?” (Where’s the ice that I asked to be done by the mansion?) Donya Tinidora replied. “Pinagawa ko kay Yaya Pak yun. Para mailagay natin sa inumin.” (I had them done by Yaya Pak. So that they’d be placed on our drinks.) That’s when Yaya Pak noticed the grannies’ arrival at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Mga madam. Nandyan na pala kayo.” (Mesdammes. You’re here.)
Donya Tinidora told Yaya Pak. “Nandyan na pala kayo. Di namin kayo napansin.” (So you’re here already. We failed to notice you.) Yaya Pak jumped into the mini-pool that she prepared. Donya Tinidora kicked one of the floaters to Yaya Pak. “Binasa mo ko.” (You got me wet.) At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. She wasn’t angry though. “Kaya pala wala kayo sa mansion. Nandito kayo.” (No wonder you’re missing at the mansion. You’re already here.)
Yaya Pak revealed that she already put the packs of ice into the pool. It almost got Lola Nidora upset at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Yung yelong pinagawa ko sa inyo. Ilalagay yan sa inumin. Tapos ginamit nyo diyan sa swimming pool? Ang bigat nyo! Wow!” (The ice that I told you to pack. It would be put in the drinks. Then you used it at the pool? How extreme of you!)
Yaya Pak justified putting the ice at the pool. “Eh kasi naman, lola. Sobrang init di ba? Akala ko mahi-heat stroke na ko. Kaya ginamit ko na itong yelo.” (But, granny. Isn’t it too hot? I thought I’m going to have a heat stroke. So I used the ice.) Lola Nidora got sarcastic at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Yan ang style mo ha? Ang lakas maka-relax.” (That’s how you do it, huh? It is very relaxing.)
Lola Nidora then asked. “Nasaan si Rogelia?” (Where is Rogelia?) At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Yaya Pak replied. “Ayun! Nakita ko po kanina. Kasama niya si Ate Divina. Tinuturuan nya po kanina ng Long Distance Acting. Pero papunta na rin po sila dito.” (There! I saw him awhile ago. He’s with Ms. Divina. He’s teaching her the Long Distance Acting method. But they’re already on their way here.) [Sometimes, the word “ate” is used to address a woman older than the person talking. It’s closest translation when used for recognizing authority is “Miss”.]
Alden then appeared on the other monitor. After DUBmashing at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Alden greeted the grannies. After a short talk, he asked. “Nandiyan po ba si ano?” (Is she there?) Donya Tinidora asked back. “Sino?” (Who?) Bossing Vic butt in. “Si Rogelia … Ay! Di ko agad nakita. Andun.” (Rogelia … Oh! I didn’t see him immediately. He’s there.) Rogelia arrived at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode just behind Lola Nidora.
Alden continued. “Si Divina, lola.” Lola Nidora wondered too. “Kanina nandito. Umalis yata.” (Awhile ago she’s here. I think she left.) Alden asked Rogelia. “Kasama mo ba?” (Is she with you?) At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary. Rogelia had to borrow a mic. “Alden, hindi. Nagmamadali po.” (No. She’s in a hurry.) Donya Tinidora speculated. “Baka sumakit na naman ang tiyan nun. Alam mo naman yung bata na yun.” (She might have gotten another tummy ache. You know that kid.)
Lola Nidora is familiar with it too. “Sumakit ang tiyan? Eh ano na naman ba ang kinain nun?” (A tummy ache? What did she eat again?) Alden asked. “San daw po nagpunta, lola?” (Where did she say she’s going, granny?) Lola almost repeated what she said at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Kanina nga nandito. Nagpaalam na aalis siya. Nagmamadali. Hindi ko natanong kung saan siya pupunta.” (Awhile ago, as I said, she’s here. She asked to leave. She’s in a hurry. I failed to ask where she went.)
Donya Tinidora heard the audience again. “Nagsisigawan na yung mga tao. Halika na nga dito, Divina.” (The audience is already screaming. Come over here, Divina.) Alden mentioned his plan to the grannies. “Lola, may surprise po kasi ako kay Divina. Gusto ko pong makita niya eh. 40th Weeksary po kasi.” (I have a surprise for Divina. I’d like her to see it. It’s the ALDUB 40th Weeksary.) Donya Tinidora felt bad. “May sorpresa pa naman si Alden.” (Too bad. Alden has a surprise.)
Lola Nidora tried to appease Alden. “Wag ka nang malungkot, Alden.” (Alden, don’t be sad.) Alden was almost inconsolable though. “Lola, pinaghandaan ko po kasi ito eh.” (Granny, I really prepared for this surprise.) Lola Nidora consoled Alden further at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Puede mo namang gawin yung surprise mo.” (You can reveal your surprise now.) Donya Tinidora added. “Ikukwento na lang namin. Ibi-video na lang namin sa cellphone.” (We would just tell her. We would video your surprise on our phone.)
Alden agreed. “Sige po, lola.” (Okay, granny.) Donya Tinidora called Rogelia. “Pahiram cellphone mo.” (Let me borrow your cellphone.) Alden tried not to describe his gift too much. “Nandito po gift ko sa kanya eh. Pero may isa pa po akong surprise. Eto po yung pinaghirapan ko.” (Her gift is here with me. But I have another surprise. Here’s what I worked hard for.) The surprise revealed at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode was a bunch of balloons that formed the number 40.
Donya Tinidora liked it. “Maganda. Sayang di niya makikita.” (It’s nice. Too bad she won’t see it.) Alden greeted the grannies just as well. “Lola, Happy 40th Weeksary po.” (Granny, Happy ALDUB 40th Weeksary.) The grannies greeted back. Donya Tinidora assured him. Wag kang mag-alala. Na-video ko naman, Alden.” (Don’t worry, Alden. I had it recorded.)
Lola Nidora greeted them too “Happy weeksary sa inyo, Alden. Maganda ang surprise mo. Napanganga ako.” (Happy ALDUB 40th Weeksary to you, Alden. Your surprise was nice. I dropped my jaw.) Alden thought of a plan. “Sige, lola. Tawagan ko na lang po si Divina.” (Okay, granny. I’d just call Divina.) Lola Nidora let him. “Sige. Tawagan mo. May load ka?” (Okay. Call her. Do you have any prepaid load?) Alden said yes. Lola Nidora replied. “Papasa.” (Please pass some to my phone.)
Divina was soon on the line. “Hello?” Alden quickly asked. “Divina. Asan ka ba?” (Where are you?) Divina explained her being late at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Naku. Me kailangan lang akong gawin eh. Meron akong dinaanan.” (Oh my. I need to do something. I dropped by somewhere.) Alden almost scolded Divina. “Umalis ka nang di nagpapaalam ha?” (You left without telling me, huh?)
Divina apologized. “Ayun nga. Sorry. Pero Happy 40th Weeksary.” (There it is. I’m sorry. Happy ALDUB 40th Weeksary.) Alden greeted her back. “Pinakita ko yung surprise ko kay lola.” (I showed my surprise to granny.) Divina asked. “Wala dun sa video?” (Wasn’t it recorded on mobile video?) Donya Tinidora replied for Divina to hear on her end. “Binidyo ko, hija.” (I had it recorded, dear.)
Alden relayed the message to Divina. Divina replied. “Papanoorin ko na lang.” (I’d just watch it later.) Alden sounded worried. “Nasan ka ba? May sakit ka ba?” (Where are you? Are you sick?) Divina denied being sick at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Wala naman. Pero me kailangan talaga akong daanan, Alden.” (No. I’m not. But I really need to pick up something somewhere.)
At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Divina almost revealed where she is though. “Labas ka.” (Come out.) Alden refused. “Gusto kong malaman asan ka. Okay ka lang?” (I want to know where you are. Are you okay?) Divina said she’s okay. “May inaasikaso lang ako.” (I just had to attend to something.) Alden almost revealed details about them too. “Okay ka naman kanina nung shooting eh.” (You were okay awhile ago when we were shooting.)
Divina replied. “Oo nga. Ikaw. Okay ka lang ba?” (Yes. You. Are you okay?) Alden held back his PO’d self. “Divina, bakit di mo ko hinintay?” (Divina, why didn’t you wait for me?) Divina almost ran out of answers at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Basta! Ano ba? Wag ka nang marami pang tanong, Alden. Bakit ba ang kulit kulit mo?” (It just is. What is with you? Stop asking too many questions, Alden. Why are you so persistent?)
Alden relented. Divina sent over some instructions. “Batiin mo na lang yung ALDUB Nation sa ‘kin ha?” (Just greet the ALDUB Nation in my behalf, okay?) Alden agreed. “Sige. Ibabati na lang kita. Happy weeksary, Divina.” (Okay. I’d just greet on your behalf. Happy ALDUB 40th Weeksary, Divina.) Divina greeted back. “Happy weeksary. Bye.”
Donya Tinidora and Lola Nidora are supposed to ask some more when Alden spoke. “Lola, wala na po eh. Ibabati ko na lang po muna.” (There’s nothing I could do. I would just greet in her behalf.) Lola Nidora let him. “Sige, hijo.” (Okay, dear.) Donya Tinidora sounded concerned for Alden at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Pasensiya na kayo. Alam mo naman yang bata na yan. San na naman kaya nagpunta?” (I’m sorry. You know that kid. Where had she been?)
Lola Nidora chose to understand Divina. “May aasikasuhin daw.” (She said that she’ll handle something.) Donya Tinidora seemed disappointed. “Mahilig umalis nang di nagpapaalam yang si Divina.” (Divina liked to leave without telling anyone.) Alden went out of his den to greet the audience present at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode.
Alden spoke. “Maraming salamat. And Happy 40th Weeksary po sa inyo. Mula po sa amin ni Divina. Sana po andyan pa rin kayo. At nagpapasalamat po kami. Akalain nyo. 40 weeks na po tayong magkakasama. Sayang po. Wala siya dito ngayon.” (Thank you very much. Happy ALDUB 40th Weeksary to all of you. From us of Divina. I hope you’d stay there. And we are very thankful. Imagine. We reached 40 weeks together. Too bad. She’s not here now)
The audience present at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode started chanting. “Ilabas si Menggay! Ilabas si Menggay!” (Bring out Menggay! Bring out Menggay!) It made Alden ask the grannies again. “Nasan po ba talaga si Divina, lola?” (Where really is Divina, granny?) Donya Tinidora replied. “Kung alam namin, sana nilabas na namin. Umalis nga. Papagalitan namin yan pag-uwi.” (If we knew, we already let her out. As we said, she left. We’d scold her once she returns.)
Big Bang’s “Fantastic Baby” started playing in the background shortly. The camera panned to the Broadway Centrum’s exit door. Divina entered carrying coconut juice still in the shell with a stray sticking out. She danced her way at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode to where Alden stood backstage.
Alden felt more like punk’d than surprised. “Wala pala ha? Halika dito.” (So you’re unavailable, huh? Get here.) Alden pulled Divina by her hand to greet the audience present at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. She made Alden drink her gift. “Ibibigay ko muna sa yo yung dinaanan ko.” (I’d give you first the item that I picked up somewhere.) She handed the juice to Alden and greeted the KalyeSerye commentary panel present. Boss Joey de Leon, Allan K a.k.a. Miss A and Bossing Vic Sotto.
Divina returned to Alden to explain. “Eto kasi yung dinaanan ko.” (This [coconut juice] is the item I handled to bring.) Alden sounded surprised. “Dinaanan mo. Buko?” (This coconut?) Divina replied. “Oo. Umakyat pa ko ng puno.” (Yes. I climbed a tree for that.) At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Alden asked again. “Para saan ba tong buko?” (What is this coconut for?) Divina explained. “Para sa yo. Ito yung regalo ko sa yo. Di mo ba nagustuhan?” (For you. It’s my gift for you. Don’t you like it?)
Alden felt relieved. “Siempre naman. Kahit ano namang galing sa yo, okay sa ‘kin eh.” (Of course. Anything from you is okay with me.) Divina then begged Alden. “Tago mo to ha?” (Keep this, okay?) She tried changing the topic at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. She turned her attention to the grannies. “Lola. Andito na po ako.” (Granny. I’m here.)
Donya Tinidora made true her promise of chastising Divina at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Ikaw ha? Kakausapin ka namin mamaya. Alis ka nang alis. Di ka nagpapaalam.” (You. We’ll talk to you later. You keep leaving. Without telling anyone.) Divina asked about the other surprise. Donya Tinidora explained. “Pero navideohan namin. Bawal sabihin. Surprise yun.” (But we recorded it. We can’t tell you. It’s a surprise.)
Alden checked again. “Andyan pa po ba sila? Yung mga lobo?” (Are they still there? The balloon holders?) Donya Tinidora wasn’t so sure. Lola Nidora chose to ask instead. “Nasan yung mga lobo?” (Where are the balloons?) The people holding the balloons are shown again. Divina saw them form the number 40 at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode.
Divina liked Alden’s surprise at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Ang sweet mo naman. May palobo ka pa sa barangay. Ikaw? Sinurprise kita. Hindi ka ba natuwa?” (How sweet of you. You even had balloons at the barangay. How about you? I surprised you. Aren’t you pleased?) Alden sounded in denial. “Anong hindi na-surprise?” (What do you mean I wasn’t surprised?)
Divina pretended to feel bad. “Ano ba yan? Naglakad pa man din ako. Tapos ganyan?” (What is with you? I walked this much. Then this?) Alden then tried to pacify Divina at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Teka. Sandali. Bukod dun. Meron pa kong isang surprise.” (Wait. Just a moment. Apart from that. I still have another surprise.)
Alden pointed to the box he held as his other surprisse at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Divina helped Alden opening the box. The KalyeSerye commentary panel allowed their table to be used in part. Bossing Vic speculated the item in the box. “Baka cake ko rin yan ha?” (It might be my cake too, huh?) In the countdown to Bossing Vic’s birthday, the Sugod-Bahay crew went the extra mile in preserving the birthday cakes. [Some of them already looked zombified as of the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode.]
Alden laughed it off. He denied that it’s a cake too. “Hindi naman, bossing.” Alden let Divina untie the ribbon. Donya Tinidora had a different speculation. More sarcastic. “Ahas yan.” (It’s a snake.) Alden just gave a little clue to ward off speculations at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Simple lang ito. Pero maraming kahulugan.” (It’s just a simple gift. But it has a lot of meaning.)
Divina opened the box. “Alden naman. Anong gagawin ko sa confetti?” (Alden, please. What will I do with the confetti?) At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Alden replied. “Hindi lang confetti yan! Buksan mo kasi.” (It’s not just confetti. Open further.) Divina dug in the confetti and discovered the gift. “Wow! May pa-t-shirt!” Alden commented. “Hindi lang basta t-shirt yan.” (It’s not just a t-shirt.)
Divina unfolded the shirt and saw the design. “Bakit M?” (Why M?) Alden explained his ALDUB 40th Weeksary gift. “Maraming ibig sabihin yan, Divina.” (It meant a lot of things.) Divina asked further. “Tulad ng?” (Like?) Alden somewhat beat around the bush. “M. Mabait. Maalaga. Masipag. At yung isa pang M. Yung MAINEnamahal ko.” (Nice. Nurturing. Hard-working. And the other M. The one that I love.) Divina would like to hear it again at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Ano? Ano? Ano?” (What? What? What?)
Alden replied. “Di na puedeng ulitin. Nasabi ko na eh.” (I can’t repeat it. I already said it.) Divina felt a little short-changed. “Bakit M lang? Ikaw, wala?” (Why only M? You don’t have one?) Alden said that he already had one. Divina didn’t believe in it that much. “Ako na lang gagawa para sa yo.” (I’d just do it for you.) Alden mentioned the ALDUB 40th Weeksary concept that he had in mind. “Ikaw yung M. Ako yung A.” (You are M. I am A.)
Divina repeated the acronym. “AM. May ibig sabihin din?” (Does it mean anything too?) Alden explained the M on the shirt. “Di ba yan yung oras na gigising ka ng maaga? Yun yung sasalubong sa ‘yo.” (Isn’t that the time when you wake up early? That’s what greets you, Divina.) At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Divina was half-serious in her answer. “Hindi. Hapon ako gumigising eh.” (No. I wake up in the afternoon.)
Alden knew Divina long enough to know she’s not that serious. “Maski na. AM pa rin.” (Even if [you wake up in the afternoon]. It’s still AM.) Divina just agreed. Alden then continued. “Tapos may isa pang AM.” (There is another AM.) Divina asked what it is. Alden defined AM. “Aalagaan at mamahalin.” (To nurture and to love.) They were briefly interrupted at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode with Alden’s DUBsmash performance.
Alden tried to expound on AM. “Kung anumang meron tayo ngayon. Aalagaan at mamahalin.” (Whatever we have now. We will nurture and love it.) Donya Tinidora had a different AM in mind. “Ariel Manalo.” [Jose’s real name was Ariel Manalo. He got the screen name “Jose” from his first TV series’ character “Valiente”.] Divina then tried to fit the shirt.
Boss Joey got another idea. “Merong isa pang AM.” (There is another AM.) Alden asked him. “Ano yun, Tito Jo?” Boss Joey replied. “Yung padedede nyo sa baby nyo.” (It is what you will give your baby.) Donya Tinidora immediately understood the reference at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Am naman yun eh.” (That’s am.) [Am is the broth from rice before the grains absorb it. Some mothers would give this to infants as temporary milk substitute.]
Divina just put the shirt on top of her long sleeved top. Alden saw that it fit. Divina thanked Alden. Even Boss Joey liked the shirt given as the ALDUB 40th Weeksary gift. Divina had to ask Alden again. “May iba pa bang AM?” (Is there another meanng to AM?) Alden’s answer was quick. “Aking mahal.” (My love.) Divina wasn’t sure if she heard Alden right. “Ano?” (What?) Alden stuck to his earlier alibi. “Wala na. Hindi na puedeng ulitin.” (I can’t say it again.)
Divina didn’t hear it well. It’s as if Alden let out his answer from his nose. “Linawin mo.” (Make it clear.) Divina then DUBsmashed again. “Na-miss kita. Miss na miss kita.” (I missed you. I miss you so much.) At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary. Donya Tinidora finally captured the lyrics and started singing along too. Alden then asked for Divina’s assurance. “Basta ha? Ikaw ang AM ko.” (You are my AM.) Divina repeated it to verify. “Ako ang AM mo?” (I am your AM?)
Alden repeated this one line though. “Ikaw ang AM ko.” (You are my AM.) Divina tried catching Alden off-guard again with her question. “Ano ulit yun?” (What did you say again?) Donya Tinidora repeated what Alden can’t say again. “Aking mahal, sabi niya.” (My love, he said.) It got Alden caught off-guard at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode.
Divina replied to Alden. “Ikaw naman kasi. Yun na lang. Ayaw mo pang sabihin.” (It’s your fault. As plain as that. And you can’t even say it.) Alden’s tone was sweeter this time at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Kasi hindi na puedeng ulitin eh.” (Because I can’t say it again.) Divina just reacted. “Arte nito. Pero salamat nito.” (How vain of you. But thanks for this [shirt].)
At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Lola Nidora greeted them again. “Divina. Alden. 40 weeks na kayo. Masaya ako na masaya kayong dalawa. Masaya kami ni Tinidora pag nakikita kayong ganyan. Sabi nga nila. Life begins at 40. Pero mga bata pa kayo. Marami pa kayong pagdadaanan. Pero anumang pagsubok yan. Tandaan nyo. Dapat lagi kayong nakaagapay sa isa’t isa. Lalo ngayon. Magkakapelikula na ang apo natin at si Alden. Kaya dapat handa kayo.”
(You have reached 40 weeks together. I am very happy for the 2 of you. We of Tinidora are happy to see you like that. As they say. Life begins at 40. But you’re still young. You have a lot to go through. But whatever trial is it. Remember. You should always be helping each other. Especially now. Our grand-niece is about to have a movie with Alden. So you should be ready.)
Donya Tinidora then relayed Yaya Pak’s earlier claim at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Kelangan lagi kayong handa. Sabi sa min ni Yaya Pak, tinuruan ka raw ni Rogelia ng long distance acting.” (You should always be ready. Yaya Pak told us that Rogelia taught you long distance acting.) Allan K a.k.a. Miss A suggested a different scene instead. “Yung naghahalikan kahapon.” (The kissing scene yesterday.)
Donya Tinidora relented. “Sige na. Mag-actingan na nga tayo ngayon. Yung kayong dalawa.” (Okay. Let’s start with the acting session. The one with the two of you.) Allan K was excited. At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Lola Nidora voiced out her concern. “Sandali. Yung kahapon, split screen. Ngayon magkadikit na. Yun ba yung kiss?” (Just a moment. Yesterday, it’s split screen. Now they’re together. Is that the kiss?)
Alden then suggested. “Sige. Lalayo ako.” (Okay. I’d stand far away.) Donya Tinidora went into director mode at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Makinig kayong dalawa. Ito yung totohanang acting.” (Listen up. This is the realistic acting.) Lola Nidora asked. “Ano yung totohanang acting?” (What is realistic acting?)
Donya Tinidora explained. “Kelangan totoo yung pakiramdam mo.” (Your emotions should be real.) Alden then changed his mind. “Lola, kelangan magkalapit po.” (Granny, we should be close.) Donya Tinidora allowed them eventually at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Lola Nidora got worried again. “Ano yung totohanang aktingang gagawin?” (What realistic acting are they about to do?)
Donya Tinidora oriented Alden and Divina on the next scene. “Eto eksena ninyo. 40 weeksary nyo na.” (Here’s your scene. It’s your ALDUB 40th Weeksary.) Bossing Vic yelled. “Rolling!” Donya Tinidora corrected Bossing Vic. “Wala pa.” (Not yet.) She turned back to Alden and Divina. “Kung ano talaga yung nararamdaman ninyo, yun ang ipakikita nyo. Okay.” (Whatever you really feel, that’s what you’ll show.)
Lola Nidora had to be sure. “Yun ang ia-acting.” (That’s what they will act out.) Donya Tinidora confirmed Lola Nidora’s observation. “Oo. Magtatapat kayo ng mga nararamdaman ninyo.” (Yes. You will admit your feelings.) Bossing Vic was waiting for the signal. “Ready? Ready?” Lola Nidora got nervous again at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Baka may kiss yan ha?” (There might be a kissing scene, huh?) Donya Tinidora assured her. “Wala.” (There isn’t any.)
Alden had to ask everyone. “Okay na po ba mga BP nyo?” (Is your blood pressure okay?) Donya Tinidora replied before anyone could. “Lagi akong okay. Ewan ko ito.” (I’m always okay. I don’t know about her.) She points at Lola Nidora. At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Donya Tinidora chided Lola Nidora further. “Wag ka na kayang manood.” (You shouldn’t watch anymore.) Lola Nidora had to ask. “San ako pupunta?” (Where will I go?)
Donya Tinidora chose to get things started. “Lights!” Bossing Vic yelled. “Rolling! … Ay lights pala. Sorry. Sorry.” He had to wait for the right signal later at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode.Alden thought of a different angle again. “May blocking po ako. Dito o ako manggagaling sa likod.” (I have my own blocking. I would come from behind.) Donya Tinidora continued sending instructions. “Do your own blocking. Find your camera please.”
Once ready, Donya Tinidora yelled. “Lights!” At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. The camera showed a single light. She yelled again. “Motor!” Bossing Vic yelled. “Rolling!” The camera panned to a motorcycle engine nearby. Donya Tinidora complained. “Pambihira. Motor naman talaga yung pinakita nyo.” (Damn it. You showed a real motor.) Bossing Vic complained too. “Motorsiklo yun eh.” (That’s a motorcycle.)
Allan K realized what the crew did at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Motorsiklo yung pinaandar.” (They ran the motorcycle engine.) Lola Nidora told Donya Tinidora. “Sabi mo kasi, makatotohanan. E di makatotohanan.” (You said you wanted it to be realistic. So they made it realistic.) Donya Tinidora had to clarify her instructions. “Si Victor na lang yun.” (Only Victor will reply.) With this, Donya Tinidora yelled. “Action!”
Alden faced Divina. As Alden delivered his lines at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Donya Tinidora was doing hand signs for them to kiss. Alden spoke. “Happy 40th Weeksary.” Divina replied. “Happy 40th Weeksary rin.” (Happy 40th Weeksary too.) Alden commented. “Tagal na ano?” (It’s been so long, isn’t it?) Divina replied. “Oo nga eh. 40 weeks na tayo. Magkasama pa din. Walang nagbago. Lumalaban pa din.” (Yes indeed. We lasted 40 weeks. Still together. Nothing’s changed. Still fighting for it.)
At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Alden continued. “Divina, gusto ko lang sabihin sa yo na marami pang mangyayari sa ating dalawa. Yung 40, numero lang yan. Dahil kapag kasama kita, hindi ko namamalayan ang oras. Hindi ko namamalayan ang araw. Kasi sa yo. Nandun ang forever.” (I wanted to tell you that there are still things to happen ahead of us. 40 is just a number. Because whenever I’m with you, I lose track of the time. I lose track of the days. Because with you. Forever lives.)
The lines at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary may be unscripted. But between the lines, there is some truth to Alden’s delivery. “Daming nagsasabi na bakit hindi pa mangyari yung mga bagay na gusto nilang mangyari? Pero naniniwala ako na darating din ang tamang panahon natin sa isa’t isa.” (So many people ask why the things they wanted to happen hasn’t happened yet? But I believe that the right time will come for us.)
Bossing Vic complained on the sidelines. “Haba ng dialogue.” (Such a long line.) At the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. Alden continued. “Yung ikaw at ako? Malapit nang mangyari yun.” (You and me? It’s about to happen.) Bossing Vic thought the kiss is next. “Ayan na.” (Here it comes.) Alden is not distracted at all. “Basta ako, Divina. Maghihintay lang. Maghihintay ako para sa ating dalawa.” (As for me, Divina. I will just wait. I will wait for the two of us.)
Donya Tinidora repeated what Bossing Vic said. “Ayan na.” (Here it comes.) Divina then replied at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. “Alden …” Too bad she got distracted with the audience. “Wait lang po. Quiet lang po on the set. Quiet on the set.” (Please wait.) Bossing Vic asked the audience to be quiet. Donya Tinidora tried to threaten them instead. “Ika-cut ko yan.” (I will cut this scene.) Alden commented too. “Wala pa po.” (Nothing has happened yet.)
Boss Joey chose to be sarcastic. “Hintayin nyong mag-freeze.” (Wait for the freeze screen.) After Divina regained her composure at the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode. She resumed with her lines. “Alden, ako. Lagi akong nagpapasalamat sa yo. Kasi lagi kang nandito para sa akin. Di mo ko pinapabayaan.” (As for me. I am always thankful to you. Because you’re always here for me. You never neglected me.)
Distractions are still there. But Divina pretended that nothing happened. “At alam ko naman na kahit anong mangyari. Talagang andyan ka lang. Aalalayan mo ko. Tayong dalawa. Di mo ko papabayaan. Alam mo. Ikaw rin ang AM ko. Ang aking mahal.” (And you know that whatever happens. You’re always just there. You’d be there for me. The two of us. You would never forsake me. You know. You are my AM too. My love.) The truck horn honked off. Ending the ALDUB 40th Weeksary episode on a cliffhanger.
