As of the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode, the lost ring was already found. On why it ended up on Baeby Baste’s toy car? Nobody explored anymore. It doesn’t seem right to be suspicious on the kid even if he clearly liked YayaDUB too. But it served its purpose. That despite getting lost for more than 2 weeks now. The love between Alden and YayaDUB remained. But of course, happiness at the cost of the De Explorer mansion.
Donya Tidora and Donya Tinidora were seen at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode chatting about the developments from the ALDUB Love Goes On episode. Even some of the Cuando Cuando Cuando were visibly happy. Donya Tidora can’t help but quip. Yang Cuando Cuando Cuando mo, nasapian ng Suffer Sireyna.” (Your Cuando Cuando Cuando seemed possessed by the Suffer Sireyna.) [Suffer Sireyna was one of the defunct segments at Eat Bulaga. It featured the aesthetically challenged gay contestants in a ‘beauty’ contest. Bringing it back to spice the ALDUB timeline is something this writer suggests.]
Donya Tidora recalled the note in the jewelry box where their grandmother’s ring was found. “I’m so happy. Yung nangyari kahapon. Nakita na ni Alden yung singsing. Hindi mawawala ang nakasulat. Sa mga oras ng pagaalinlangan, isuot ang singsing. Tunay na pagibig ang magpapatunay neto.” (I’m so happy about yesterday’s events. Alden has found the ring. And what’s written will not waver. In times of doubt, wear the ring. True love will prove it.) But Donya Tinidora clarified the young folks’ relationship at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. “Di naman ibig sabihin sila na.” (This doesn’t mean they’re already a couple.)
Donya Tidora had been back in the Philippines long enough to mention how far had Alden gone in his pursuit of YayaDUB.”Tagal na ring nanunuyo ng poging batang ito.” (It’s been a long time that this kid waited.) Donya Tinidora then countered the time lapse that Donya Tidora somewhat complained of. “Bakit naman sila magmamadali? Hindi naman yan taxi na de metro.” (Why would they be in a hurry? They’re not a metered cab.) It was in the middle of this exchange when Lola Nidora arrived in the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode.
Donya Tinidora immediately remembered what she did when stuck in traffic. “Uy! Alam mo, nagtitinda na ko ng kanin sa C5.” (You know what, I now sell cooked rice at C5 Road.) Lola Nidora wasn’t in a chirpy mood though at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. And she was hurt at how happy her sisters seemed. As if they have forgotten the mortgaged mansion. “Na kay Baste lang pala yung singsing. Sana itinapon na lang. Papano na tayo?” (Turns out that the ring had been with Baste all along. He should have thrown it away instead. What would become of us now?)
More than a week ago prior to the ALDUB20thWeeksary. Donya Babah has talked to her lawyers. But no word from Alden on what transpired. Besides, the ring was only found on the ALDUB Love Goes On episode. This agitated Lola Nidora more. “Pag pinaalis tayo ni Lola Babah, san tayo titira?” (If Granny Babah gets us evicted, where would we live?) Donya Tinidora suggested something practical. “E di bayaran natin? E di magbenta tayo ng properties natin.” (How about we pay for it? Let’s sell our properties.)
Lola Nidora didn’t think it was that easy. “Akala mo madali magbenta ng properties. Pero nakapangalan pa kina Papa at Mama.” (You thought it’s that easy to sell properties. But they are still under the name of Papa and Mama.) Seems like Lola Nidora discovered some complications as of the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode.
Donya Tidora could not see clearly what Lola Nidora was eating at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. But it seemed like something Lola Nidora doesn’t usually eat. “Bakit ka kumakain niyan, ate?” (Why are you eating that, elder sister?) Lola Nidora explained. “Para sa energy. Kayong dalawa,. Parang hindi kayo affected.” (This is for energy. The two of you. You don’t seem affected.) Lola Nidora had been feeling weak for days. So weak that she tends to fall asleep on the coffee table more frequently. Could it be sleep apnea.
Later, an SUV arrived. Donya Tinidora recognized the vehicle. “Parang familiar yung sasakyan.” (The vehicle seemed familiar.) Donya Tidora quipped. “May balloons balloons kasi.” (Must have been the balloons.” Donya Tinidora made a wild guess. “Ay si Frankie!” (Oh it’s Frankie!) The passenger hopped off and out came Alden. He brought some balloons for YayaDUB for the ALDUB 20th Weeksary.
Some of the KalyeSerye commentators were still reeling from Donya Babah’s accent. “Si Aldren!” He then looked for YayaDUB at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary. That’s when Lola Nidora realized that it’s Thursday. “Huwebes nga pala ngayon. Weeksary na naman.” (It’s Thursday. Weeksary again.) Donya Tinidora only had compliments for Alden. “Magiting na bata ito. At magiging guapo ang apo natin. Ba’t di pa kayo pakasal?” (Such a valorous kid. And our great-grand kids would look handsome. Why don’t you get married?)
Lola Nidora was quick to react. “Guapo lang, papakasal na?” (Just because he’s handsome, he’d get married?) Donya Tinidora commented on how persistent Alden had been. “Napapagtyagaan ka nga, ate eh.” (He endured your whims, elder sister.) Later, Alden was DUBsmashing tracks for Lola Nidora. It didn’t quell her bad mood though at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. “Bakit ba ako ang dina-DUBsmash mo? Di ba si Yaya ang dina-DUBsmash mo?” (Why are you DUBsmashing to me? Aren’t you supposed to be DUBsmashing nanny?)
Lola Nidora then inadvertently revealed YayaDUB’s whereabouts. “Si Yaya, nagpaalam sa kin. Dadalhan ka ng prutas.” (Nanny told me. She’d bring some fruits.) Seems like Lola Nidora spoiled YayaDUB’s surprise to Alden. Then again, the camera showed YayaDUB arriving at the Broadway Centrum carrying a basket of fruits. In a mutual effort to surprise each other at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. Alden and YayaDUB ended up going on location without the intended recipient of the gifts.
The grannies were almost in unison at the aborted attempts at surprise. “Yan ang sinasabi ko sa inyo.” (I told you so.) The KalyeSerye commentary panel somewhat agreed. “Hindi na naman kayo na-orient.” (You weren’t oriented again.) YayaDUB didn’t hear the conversation between the Kalye’s Angels and the KalyeSerye commentators. So she kept looking around backstage at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode.
Both Bossing Vic Sotto and Boss Joey de Leon tried to help YayaDUB in looking around though whether she heard them or not. “Baka nasa loob ng bag.” (It might be in the bag.) “Baka nasa loob ng dressing room.” (It might be in the dressing room.) “Pati backpack.” (Even the backpack.) Allan K asked Bossing Vic. “Kasya ba dun, Bossing?” (Will he fit in there, Bossing?)
YayaDUB then dropped by the Eat Bulaga dining area. “Si Alden po?” (Where is Alden?) Donya Tinidora spotted Sam YG and Patricia in the dining room. “Nagliligawan yung dalawa.” (The two are trying to hook up.) YayaDUB suppressed her laugh at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary when Donya Tinidora made that comment. With Alden not on Broadway Centrum. Boss Joey looked forward on having the fruits with the rest of the KalyeSerye commentary panel. “Yari sa atin tong mga prutas na to.” (These fruits end up with us.) Donya Tinidora mentioned the obvious. “Iba ang makikinabang.” (Someone else would benefit.)
The KalyeSerye commentators were happy to see YayaDUB coming. Pleasantries were exchanged. YayaDUB then asked the KalyeSerye commentary panel to ask for Alden. “Si Alden po. Nakita ko po kanina.” (Where is Alden? I saw him here awhile ago.) Boss Joey answered in behalf of the panel. “Nagkasalisi kayo, darling.” (You came just when he arrived at your grannies’ place.)
That’s when YayaDUB got to talk to Alden for their ALDUB 20th Weeksary. “Dinalhan pa naman kita ng prutas.” (I brought you some fruits.) Alden replied. “Dinalhan pa naman kita ng Chikalet.” (I brought you some Chikalet.) YayaDUB decided to leave the fruits to the KalyeSerye commentators and bring a different basket to Alden some other time. She then excused herself from them to go to Alden’s den.
As of the ALDUB 20th Weeksary, the joke exchange has intertwined with the DUBsmash exxchange. YayaDUB started it. “Ano sa Ingles ang singsing at 3 hari?” (What is ‘a singsing at tatlong hari’ in English?) Alden asked. “Ano?” (What?) YayaDUB replied. “Aringkingkingking.” [Some of the jokes lose their potency when translated. So we’d pick some jokes at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary whose humor stayed after translation.]
Alden then quipped to YayaDUB. “Para kang utang.” (You’re like a debt.) YayaDUB asked why. Alden explained at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. “Kasi habang tumatagal, lumalaki interes ko sa yo eh.” (Because as time passes by, my interest with you grows bigger.) In minutes, Alden saw Lola Nidora asleep on the coffee table again. “Nakatulog na naman si Lola.” (Granny fell asleep again.)
YayaDUB got worried. “Lola, okay lang po kayo? Kasi lagi po kayong nakakatulog eh.” (Granny, are you okay? You keep falling asleep.) Lola Nidora fell asleep even if she tried to eat an energy bar. “Eto nga, kumakain ng pampagising.” (Here I am, trying to eat something to wake me up.)
Although Alden and YayaDUB accidentally got separated at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. Alden was hopeful. “Kahit malayo tayo, nagkakaintindihan ang puso mo at ang puso ko. At saka eto o. Nahanap ko na yung singsing. Gusto ko ikaw lang magtago nito.” (Even if we’re far apart, your heart and my heart understood each other. And here. I have found the ring. I want you to keep it.) It led to another DUBsmash exchange.
Donya Tinidora reminded Alden. “Remember ha? Take care of Yaya.” She didn’t want their story to end up like her. It was a tough choice for Donya Tinidora that she made prior to the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. But her immediate family made it worth it. And with a budding relationship within reach. Donya Tinidora felt content.
YayaDUB then made a little request to Alden. She refused to divulge it so soon. The Sugod Bahay errand has yet to be done. So Alden switched to a little joke. “Gusto kitang bigyan ng Donald Duck.” (I’d like to give you a Donald Duck [plushie].) When YayaDUB asked why. Alden answered. “Para may BIBI na tayo.” (So that we’d have a BIBI.) Lola Nidora’s ears were sharp enough at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode to hear Alden. “Hoy! Bata pa kayo!” (You’re still young!) Alden clarified what he said. “BIBI po. B-I-B-I.” (I mean a duck.
YayaDUB had a ready joke to counter Alden’s joke. “Nauubusan na ko ng banat. Wala na kong maisip na bagay sa yo kundi ako.” (I ran out of pick-up lines. I can’t think of anything else that would be good for you but me.) Alden had another line for YayaDUB at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. “Alam mo minsan. Samahan mo nga ko magpa-blood test. Para malaman mong ikaw ang type ko.” (One time. Come with me for a blood test. So that you’d know that you are my type.)
Bossing Vic may be waiting for them to get done. But he has some lines to dish at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode too. He threw them at his fellow KalyeSerye commentator, Allan K. “Tao ka ba?” (Are you human?) Allan K asked why. “Sure ka?” (Are you sure?) Allan K knew that Bossing Vic got it from Donya Babah.
Bossing Vic asked him again. “Tao ka ba?” (Are you human?) When Allan K asked why. Bossing Vic replied. “Naniniguro lang.” (I just want to be sure.) After Bossing Vic has declared the new Sugod Bahay winner at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode, he ended up asking the winner on the phone too. “Tao ka ba?” (Are you human?) Then realized that his habit got carried over to the wrong person to ask. He then signaled the Kalye’s Angels to go see the latest winner.
Donya Tidora asked Lola Nidora. “Ate, ano ba nangyayari sa yo?” (Elder sister, what is going on with you?) Lola NIdora had a quick answer. “Low blood [pressure].” Donya Tinidora had another hypothesis. “Baka naman mataas ang sugar mo. Lagi kang inaantok.” (You might have reached a high blood sugar level. You’re always drowsy.) To make sure, the sisters left Lola Nidora with Alden to go to their Sugod Bahay errand for the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode.
The KalyeSerye commentary panel can’t help but notice Donya Tinidora’s dress. It’s the same as that of her sisters. But still knotted at the hem. “Sexy ng damit mo ano?” (Your dress is sexy.) Donya Tinidora is might proud of her legs. “Sexy ng legs.” Allan K can’t help but ask her. “San mo nabili yan?” (Where did you buy that?) Donya Tinidora asked for a clarification. “Alin? Yung legs?” (Which one? The legs?) Allan K just let Donya Tinidora get away with the sarcasm at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. “Oo.” (Yes.) Donya Tinidora had a vague answer. “Dati kasi akong hinete.” (I used to be a racehorse coach.)
After the Sugod Bahay errand. Alden wrote on his clipboard. He is not done writing yet when YayaDUB reminded him of her request. “Request agad? Nagsusulat pa ko.” (Requesting so soon? I’m still writing.) So YayaDUB waited for him to finish first. Later, he showed to her what he wrote. “Masaya akong masaya ka.” (I am happy that you are happy.) YayaDUB replied. “Ako din. Siempre. Happy ako na masaya tayong dalawa.” (Me too. Of course. I am happy that we are happy.)
That’s when YayaDUB revealed the true reason for the surprise visit. Way back in the ALDUB Sumptuous Lunch episode. YayaDUB was seen pocketing some photos of Alden from the Faulkerson mansion. She showed one of the photos to Alden at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. “Papa-autograph sana ako sa yo eh.” (I’d like to ask for your autograph.)
Alden looked at the photo. And true enough, he wasn’t aware that YayaDUB had this high school photo all along. He let out an exasperated scream. “Argh! Ano to? Hindi ako na-orient!” (What the hell! I wasn’t oriented!) YayaDUB continued at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. “Ang cute-cute mo kaya dito. Isa ito sa mga fave pictures ko sa yo. Puede ba? Lagyan mo ng dedication sa likod.” (But you’re so cute here. It’s one of my fave pictures of you. Please? Add a dedication behind the photo.)
Alden got punked. He was a little sarcastic but helpless. “Wala ako bukas. Hindi ako papasok. Para di ko mapirmahan.” (I won’t be here tomorrow. I won’t come. So that I won’t sign it.) YayaDUB was persistent at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. “Ganda ng hair mo dito. Super cute.” (Your hair looks great here.) Alden made a little promise to YayaDUB. “Babawi ako sa yo. Kala mo ha? Sobra ka sa ‘kin.” (I’d retaliate. You’d see huh? You’re too much.)
YayaDUB was still asking for Alden’s autograph when the Kalye’s Angels returned. They have some stuff to be sold at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. Donya Tinidora was the ever-optimist in revealing their true business venture. “Nagsimula na kaming magnegosyo para matubos namin ang mansion.”(We’ve started a new business in order to reclaim the mansion.) From ALDUB photos to key chains to other fancy jewelry. Anything for a quick buck.
Lola Nidora helped pitch the fancy jewelry sold. “Maganda ang bakal niyan. Hindi makati.” (The material on the chains are nice. Doesn’t irritate the skin.) YayaDUB can’t suppress the laughter at the ALDUB photos sold. Donya Tinidora even promised a snake charmer show. “Tingnan po natin kung paanong papasok ang ahas dun sa bote ha?” (Let’s see how will the snake return to the bottle okay?)
Donya Tidora still found time to remind Alden and YayaDUB at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode though. “Focus lang. Enjoy enjoy muna. Pagkatapos ng mga nangyari sa inyo last week, dapat alam nyo na ang mga gagawin ninyo. Laban lang ng laban. Maraming maninira sa inyo. Ganun.” (Just focus. Enjoy for now. After the events that transpired last week, you should know what to do now. Keep fighting. There would be so many detractors. Like that.)
Alden spoke as if in behalf of the couple albeit they still claim that they’re friends. “Kami naman po, Lola. Hindi naman po kami nagmamadali eh. Marami pa po kaming pwedeng gawin ni Maine sa buhay namin.” (We are not in a hurry. There are still so many things that we of Maine can do in our lives.)
YayaDUB was supportive of Alden’s answer in the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. “Basta ang mahalaga, inspired tayo everyday. Kasi masaya tayong dalawa. Para matupad natin ang pangarap natin.” (What’s important is we are inspired everyday. Because we are happy. So that we will fulfill our dreams.)
YayaDUB used this to bring up the high school picture again. “Saka ito. Nakaka-inspire siya talaga. Dito talaga ako gumigising talaga every morning. Tinitingnan ko talaga to tapos hinahalikan ko.” (And this one. It’s really inspiring. I really wake up to this every morning. I stare at it then I kiss it.) Alden already had a plan in mind as of the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. “Sige. Tuloy mo yan. Yari ka sa kin talaga.” (Go ahead. Keep it up. You’d really see.)
Donya Tinidora liked the new bonding moments that Alden and YayaDUB are into. So she went gung-ho with her advice. “Dapat serious kaagad kayo. Puede naman pakasal.” (You should take this on a serious level. You can get married.) YayaDUB herself was perplexed at Donya Tinidora’s suggestion. “Agad-agad, Lola?” (Instantly, granny?) Donya Tinidora told them to seize the day. “2016 na. Wag na kayong magpatagal-tagal pa. Patatagalin pa ba natin ito?” (It’s 2016. You don’t have to take it that long. Do we really have to wait that long?) Alden and YayaDUB were both not keen on Donya Tinidora’s suggestion.
Lola Nidora wasn’t keen on the rushed wedding suggestion too. “Hayaan mo muna. Nage-enjoy ang mga bata.” (Let them. The kids are still enjoying.) Lola Nidora then advised Alden and YayaDUB respectively at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. “Alden? Galit ako sa yo noon. Para masiguro ko lang naman ang tibay ng loob mo. Yaya, unahin mo muna ang pagaaral ha? Alam kong gusto mo yan. Andyan lang naman si Alden. Nakaalalay sa yo.” (I didn’t like you before. I just need to strengthen your resolve. Nanny, studies first okay? I know you wanted it too. Alden is just there. Ready to assist you.)
Alden then mentioned how he found the ring again. Donya Tinidora was teary-eyed again at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode.. Speaking of the ring. Lola Nidora told Alden. “Alden, ikaw muna magtago niyan. Itago mo nang hindi na mahanap ulit.” (You keep it for now. Keep it that it may never be found again.) Alden was somewhat clueless though. “Ba’t po kayo naluluha, Lola?” (Why are you tearing up, granny?)
Lola Nidora’s pain was in her voice. “Eh panong hindi ako maluluha eh nakita na yung singsing. Papano na kami, Alden? Papaalisin na kami sa mansion. Meron kayong forever. Kami walang …” (How will I not tear up now that the ring was already found. What would become of us? We will be evicted from the mansion. You got forever. We don’t even have …) Lola Nidora can’t even finish her sentence at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode.
The sisters were contemplating where to move in case the eviction gets executed on the mortgaged property. Just when Gasgas was already delivering the episode epilogue. Lola Nidora collapsed face down at the ALDUB 20th Weeksary episode. Donya Tidora got frantic and called for help. As Lola Nidora was taken into the ambulance, everyone speculated on her state of health.
